Oloye2019: For so long we have heard the vague phrase "Youths are the leaders of tomorrow". We have waited very patiently for 'tomorrow' to come, but it seem like a mirage to us, constantly eluding our grasps as we try in vain to keep the hope, the dream and faith that has stuck with us in total loyalty and submission to our elders and leaders, the very elders and leaders responsible for this fruitless efforts to to see our hopes come alive.
We are equal stakeholders, if not more, in this project called Nigeria and we deserve more than equal recognition and appreciation for the growth so far!
It is true, Saraki is not the most righteous! Really, who is?
He is not the most qualified! Again, who is?
He has flaws! Who doesn't?
His Excellency, Senator Bukola Saraki has journeyed from the bottom to top Senator Bukola Saraki has been in the Nigerian political sphere for fifteen years now, giving himself to the service of the nation in those years without resting.
He climbed through the rungs of political ladder to the top: •In 2000, President Olusegun Obasanjo appointed Saraki as Special Assistant to the President on Budget.
• In 2003, he ran for the office of governor of Kwara State on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and won.
• He ran again for re-election in 2007 and won his second term.
• Saraki became chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum in 2007.
• After two term tenure as governor of Kwara State, Bukola Saraki ran for the office of Senator, representing the Kwara Central Senatorial District, which he won.
• He was appointed as the chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Ecology and is also a member of the Senate Committee on Capital Markets and Finance.
• After his re-election in the 2015 general elections, Saraki was on 9 June 2015 elected unopposed as President of the Senate by an across the party alliance comprising PDP and APC Senators.
• In 2012, Saraki was appointed onto the leadership council of the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, an initiative led by the United Nations Foundation supporting public-private partnerships to create a market for clean cookstoves and fuels.
• Saraki was the first serving Nigerian governor to be awarded the National Honor of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) in 2010. Other former governors also received the award that year.
Senator Bukola Saraki has faced stiff opposition, difficulties and challenges from his then political party, despite the fact he was not just its member, but the number three citizen of the federation. He has been shamed in many ways. His detractors have employed several tactics to either slow him, stop him or outrightly force him out of service for Nigeria, but he remains undeterred and ever ready to fight for the common man.
We have seen his smart moves, articulate speeches and responses to his detractors. He is quiet, calm and calculative. Above all, he is Presidential!
This movement is not engineered by the Oloye himself, no, it is not. This is a movement instituted by young Nigerians who truly want power to come closer to the youths.

Politics › Re: Saraki Fires Back At Buhari Media Organisation by jayluv4real: 5:10pm On Aug 20, 2018 |
massinola: Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, on Sunday reacted to a statement credited to President Muhammadu Buhari’s Media Organisation, were the later cautioned and urged him to reconvene the Senate to attend to urgent national issues.
The organisation accused Saraki of postponing the resumption of the Senate, despite the ongoing issue in the country, especially the INEC budget and approval for foreign loans tied to several critical infrastructures.
Recall also that the organisation through its chairman Niyi Akinsiju and Secretary Cassidy Madueke opined that Saraki is the one laying siege on the whole country by using his position to undermine the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
But reacting on the issue, Saraki through his special assistant on new media, Olu Onemola said that the organisation’s statement was a careful and deliberate example of conscientious ignorance on full display.
Read the full statement below:
“It is necessary to begin this response to the Buhari Media Organization by reminding us of the aforementioned fact. This is because their statement is a careful and deliberate example of conscientious ignorance on full display.
By now, the Nigerian people are aware that the Executive branch could have submitted INEC’s 2019 Election budget at the time it submitted the 2018 appropriations proposal last year. Furthermore, the Executive had from January till June this year to submit the budget request.
However, due to a lack of foresight, or the usual display of tardiness or an attempt to ensure that due process would not be followed — the INEC budget request was submitted by the Executive branch only a few days before the statutory National Assembly annual recess.
Regardless of this unforced error on the part of the Executive, the National Assembly has continued its work on this budget. As it stands: the relevant Senate & House Committees have held individual budgetary hearings with the INEC Chairman & all his Commissioners on this budget.
The @NGRSenate and @HouseNGR have also held follow-up Joint Committee meetings to carefully scrutinize the provisions of the budget. Furthermore, the Joint Committees are now scheduled to meet on Monday when they are expected to come up with a Committee report.
This Report will then be given to the Appropriations Committee, which will spell out how to source the President’s virement request through the concerned MDAs. Any person or organization that is conversant with legislative due process would know this.
It is only after the Appropriations Committee has worked on the budget details that a plenary sitting is required to adopt the final report.
The Senate President, the Senate and the entire National Assembly, are committed to ensuring that the 2019 elections receive all necessary funding. However, this should not be at the expense of due process and stated guidelines.
Groups like the Buhari Media Organization that try to scapegoat the Senate President for the failure of the Executive to submit INEC’s 2019 election budget on time, know that the National Assembly has been working on this request through its Committees.
Nigerians want to know why President Buhari withheld his assent on the first Electoral Act passed by the National Assembly to help legalize the various innovations that are needed for free and fair elections. These are the questions @BuhariMediaORG should ask their principal.
@BuhariMediaORG should ask their principal the following questions:
“What is he afraid of in the very progressive proposals contained in the Electoral Bill?”
“Why does he want to frustrate the 2019 election by not signing the much-needed enabling laws into effect?”
For the record, it is necessary to state that the Buhari Media Organization (@BuhariMediaORG), in its failed attempt to mislead the public, has been crying more than the bereaved.
During this process, INEC, that will utilize the funds and conduct the proposed elections has stated that it is confident and comfortable with the thorough and transparent response exhibited by the National Assembly.
Finally, it is necessary to once again emphasize that the public will continue to see through all attempts to mislead them with empty political grandstanding that is detrimental to the adherence to due process that the National Assembly’s leadership is committed to upholding.”

Politics › Re: Exclusive! APC Has Garnered 73 Signatures To Impeach Saraki! by jayluv4real: 12:13pm On Aug 14, 2018 |
quickberry: Exclusive! APC has garnered 73 signatures to impeach Saraki! As it stands now, APC has 59 Senators and the party needs 14 more signatures to get the cocky senate president booted out of office. We are reliably informed from our correspondent who's an insider that APC has successfully garnered the required 73 senators to impeach the boastful Saraki from office. And the analysis of the Senators that signed to impeach the Senate president is given below! The only senator of the PDP extraction in rivers state has signed because the man is on his way to the APC! Moreover, four Senators from the southeast have also appended their signature to remove Saraki from office. Consequently, two Senators from south south have also signed. The 2 APGA Senators signed, Buruj Kashamu also signed, the female senator from Oyo state has also signed. And the APC has also gotten the signatures of three more PDP Senators from the north west and north central to get this job done Senator Saraki is aware of this deal and he has resolved not to reconvene the senate until sometimes in October. Lastly, the only thing that will make Saraki not to be impeached is when the house is not reconvened. Saraki is as gone as impeached! He already knows this! Saraki is an old news. He should know by now that he has lost the battle already |
Politics › Re: Osinbajo An Emissary Of Satan, Betrayed The Church – Fani-kayode. Read Details! by jayluv4real: 1:16pm On Aug 13, 2018 |
EgbechoFaith23: Former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Femi Fani-Kayode, has described Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, as an emissary of Satan.
Fani-Kayode said Osinbajo has no moral right to blame pastors for not speaking up against corruption in the country because he equally betrayed the body of Christ.
He was responding to Osinbajo’s attacks on Nigerian pastors for failing to lend support to the Federal Government’s anti-corruption war by failing to preach against the scourge.............
