Good morning bosses.
I just got a message from Bolt that I can't register without a car.
I was not given a precise info here. Thought I could create an account without car and then get it activated when I get a car.
Same with Uber. Know of Uber before, just knowing of Bolt now.
The question is, who will now drop car for one to use it to register? I fear it will take up to a month to get it activated like ekehopp said. |

Crvrider: My broda the tout thing tire me o. I was stopped by some guys wearing MOT reflective jacket today at ikotun for not wearing nose mask. I was with my wife, and my daughter was at the back seat and we had the windows rolled up cause ac was on.
One of the guys spoke to me gently and asked me to go with his colleague to write my vehicle number down since i was a first offender. He insisted that I won't pay a thing when I got to their office...all na wash.
Got there and I refused to drive inside their compound. Told the guy that a sound was coming from my engine. The next thing one guy came around and deflated my tyre. Na so I begin para.
I shout down the whole place. My wife begin take pictures. Las las one of their oga call me go corner come dey tell me say me I be gentle man bla bla bla.
Las las I drop 5h and they apologized.
Funny thing, these guys even have air compressor machine. They pumped my tyre and I drove off The para they always para first when they know say na still recharge card money go end am de always vex me. For LASDRI office today people sef complain about all these things. It's all messed up |

Bigleaf1006: I don't think bolt proposed penetrative pricing strategy is entirely a bad idea on itself. IMHO!!
Uber did that some years back and it was able to get more people to catch the e hailing drift at the time cos many saw e hailing as an expensive transport option until prices came down and more people got into the bucket .Prices would gradually be increased without riders knowing.
It makes absolutely know sense queing to pay 1 k per head from say agbado ijaiye to Oshodi in a rickety bus while 3 of us can ride share an e-cab for about same amount with all the comfort, safety and security that goes with it.
More rides means more money whichever way you see it,it's all about volume,IMHO!!
I am pretty certain there will be incentives for drivers in form of bonuses to make up for the differential.
And those shouting Uber is the next bae, Uber reduced fares back then and never reduced commissions and heaven did not fall and I am not sure it would anytime soon I hope so |

I know what Bolt is trying to do. They see that all other means of transportation are increasing their fees. Danfos, train, and every other transport blah blah blah, they are increasing. This means that people will choose to be comfortable to take Bolt because it's a slight difference in transportation fare.
They did not think about the number of people cars on this bolt can carry and it's not a carry and drop thing or junction to junction thing. Moreover, even if there are millions of requests, traffic will never allow you to do enough for a day. We never talk of those touts calling themselves law enforcement idiots.
It's bad |
