Another thing I'm considering about this mode of contraction of the virus. ABBA kyari was outside the country, he contracted the virus outside the country. When he got back, before developing any symptoms of the virus, he was with many delegates, the elites, so to say. They shook hands, talked, and the contact was close. We have not heard 60% of them contract the virus. How come they were not infected? Most of the people who died of this virus are returnees if you look into it well.

We need to study that mode of transmission. Same goes to Atiku's son

Do you really think the 80000+ people that have died in Italy and USA were not careful enough? Or they didnt protect themselves?

Here, we jampack ourselves in buses. Our markets are crowded and so on. How can we really protect ourselves?

Like i said, its all man for himself if the lockdown is suspended. It will be disastrous, except Heaven says otherwise
That's thoughtful of you.
Should we then continue till everyone is tested? 17mil+ in Lag, just 8k+ or less tested, almost a month.
Testing kit finish for Kano of 14mil+

Seriously, it's not safe but we can't continue with the lockdowns. Nigeria is slow with the testing. Revenue fell

Lol
I sincerely pray nothing go happen if the lockdown is suspended. And i dont understand why we think this virus cant kill people here.
If its because of skin color, blacks wont be dying anyhow in USA. If its because of weather temperature, Iranians wont be dying anyhow.

Until the government has done enough testing of its citizens, na joke we dey. Lagos state has not even tested 1/1000th of its residents.

IMHO, a disaster is about to happen if the lockdown is lifted.

I really wish ton get my life back, but thats the bitter truth
So Lagos has not tested 1/1000th of its people and the testing started when the lockdown started. How many days into the lockdown now?
If we are waiting for them to test everyone before they suspend the lockdown, then we should be looking at nothing less than 6 months of lockdown which is not possible.

Lifting the lockdown and intensifying other means of protection will definitely work.

We can't go further with lockdowns that is not even working my brother

I will like to know if by any chance, Uber/bolt check the phone you use before registering you as a driver?

Lets analyse how this pandemic, global recession and fall in prices of crude oil will affect us as uber drivers because I'm just wondering how things will look like when this recession start.

A lot of workers will lose their jobs, companies will fold up, salaries will be slashed and own for several months.

I remember the last recession, Portharcourt city was a place to be, can drivers were building houses as if they were oil workers because runs girls who were their major customers where always on the move cashing out from oil and rig workers but when the recession hit the oil sector and even our politicians couldnt afford to pay N5k for cab for runs girls again. Business people where not left out as everybody resorted to the normal N50 taxi.

So I see a difficult time coming. I pray God help us to come out alive stronger.
Good point of view!

Shall we talk on this too please?

Well, for the interstate partners, I think their expected returns is defined.

Some charge #8500, #9000 to Abuja for example. So they know how many trips a week they need to achieve their target. And other predictive factors too. And that's why the Sienna still looks like the right tool. At an expected period, including periods for losses and maintenance, they will break even

But in Uber, the partners don't determine the price. At one point, the fares were higher. Lately, the fares keep dropping.

It's at this point, I feel the Corolla is no longer suitable (financially grin) for this beeezinesss
How many trips do you think Lagos to Abuja would go in a week? Do you have an idea?

I understand now. These interstate drivers using sienna do they own their cars? I think many of them work for transport companies and prices is according to season, there is also wear and tear, fuel to buy, as you wrote earlier, having a fleet is profitable in the transport business. (Economic of scales)

I think most drivers will make more money if they are their own boss and price is not regulated and even if price is regulated, having like 2-3 cars will be a good advantage.

Anyway uber and taxify low price magic is through economic of scale, maybe drivers in the business should also learn that, even if you are using toyota corolla, saving up money to buy another car for the business is a good strategy of making money in the ehailing business.

My reason: instead of English FA declaring the season void.... wouldn't it be better to just reward Liverpool for their unprecedented effort so far dis season..

While every other team who are in spot for Champions league...compete in an arranged Play off... And as well apply it to every team still open to relegation...

Trump is not a racist. He is just an egocentric narcissist. Once you understand that about him, it will be easy to see where his failings come from: his consistent need for self-adulation.

I'll give examples:
1. He had to come across as a President who knew what he was doing when he fired the America's pandemic team in China (Obama set up the teams in global disease hotspots), so he tells Americans, don't worry about the Corona virus, the Chinese government is on top of it;
2. He's egocentric and can't take honest advice from his Scientists, so he ignores warnings in several quarters that a pandemic was about to hit the US and that the US was unprepared;
3. He shut US airports against planes coming from China but not those coming in from the EU, even though Italy, Spain, France and the UK were already in full-blown crisis with hundreds dying;
Again, he had to overrule his advisers who advocated that he shut down all travel to and from the US, because, egoist that he is, he has to be the smartest guy in the room;
4. When the crisis hit the US, independent research laboratories and University laboratories were developing tests to sense the virus. Mr President made it illegal to use those tests. Only the test kits approved by the FDA made the cut; so several weeks of proactive testing of millions were missed;
5. He's picking fights with Governors in the midst of thousands of Americans dying on his watch - 31,000 Americans as at this morning.

Guys, his egocentrism is his undoing. Every failure he has had as a leader is because of it. He is not racist. He just can't help adoring himself. He is the most beautiful son of a bitch to walk the face of this earth. And he failed the whole earth. Let's just imagine Obama as President in the midst of this crisis. Things would have turn out well for the earth.

Americans made a mistake voting an egocentric person into the Presidency. The funny thing is, they might repeat the mistake in November. We humans are funny. We can do no wrong. We are always right. Only the guy next door is wrong.
You are right. Totally right.

But he is still a racist

yours pictures from google arent facts, you cant just type in what you feel like typing on google then go to image and then use it as facts.

- In Chicago, for example, black Americans account for 68 percent of the city’s 118 deaths and 52 percent of the roughly 5,000 confirmed coronavirus cases, despite making up just 30 percent of the city’s population, according to data from the Chicago Department of Public Health.

-Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards said Monday that, of the 512 coronavirus deaths so far, more than 70 percent were African American patients, who make up just 32 percent of the state’s population.

-In New York City, it was revealed this week 34 per cent of deaths from the novel virus were Hispanic residents while 28 per cent were black. This comes as the New York City population is made up of 29 per cent Hispanic and 22 per cent black residents.

-Disparities in death toll in minority communities are also found in areas like Milwaukee County, Washington DC, and North Carolina.

- in Wisconsin’s Milwaukee County, African Americans make up 25 percent of the population, but 75 percent of the confirmed deaths.

How come whites arent experiencing the same death toll as blacks?

The surgeon general of the United states Jerome Adams(a black man) advised black people to stay home

People of color experience [are] both more likely [to have] exposure to Covid-19 and increased complications from it,” Adams said. “But let me be crystal clear: We do not think people of color are biologically or genetically predisposed to get Covid-19. There is nothing inherently wrong with you. But they are socially predisposed to coronavirus ... exposure and to have a higher incidence of the very diseases that put you at risk for severe complications of coronavirus.”

according to another doctor, Dr Kowalik:

She lays bare what she thinks is the major reason why African Americans are at a disadvantage when it comes to Covid-19.

"African-Americans have more of the underlying health conditions associated with fatality (among those with coronavirus); the heart disease, diabetes, asthma, obesity," says Dr Kowalik.

The number 1 reason why black people in the US are affected by covid-19 is ignorance, many of them believe that corona virus do not kill black people.

according to the bbc;

Rumours that people with dark skin may be immune to Covid-19 have been circulating on social media since late January.

The speculation was apparently initially fueled by the absence of coronavirus cases reported in Africa and the successful recovery in China of a Cameroonian student infected with the virus.

Several posts circulated on Facebook in mid-February wrongly claimed that the 21-year-old had been cured of the disease "because of his black skin".

The immunity myth has also been widely circulated online in the African American community, where it has featured in memes and viral jokes.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-52245690

Black people love to to cry racism, discrimination and poverty for every thing, thanks to Al Sharpton (ex FBI informer)Jesse Jackson and members of NAACP, who are agents of the (democratic party) that keep preaching about racism and discrimination from their luxury houses in Beverley hills

According to statistics, there are about 40 million African Americans in the US, 3% of in them are in the upper class compares to 7% white, 12% of African american are in the upper middle class compare to 21% white, about 40% of African-Americans are in the middle class compare to 42% white, 25% are working class compare to 19% of white, 21% are in poverty compare to 11% white.

from the data above, African-Americans are doing well. the 21% poorest of the African-american communities live in democratic controlled state. They are the ones dying from corona virus not the upper and middle class blacks.

We can go on and on, institutional racism inst the cause of high rate of death among blacks but ignorance,

We all like to shout institutional racism, if institutional racism was a very big deal, then there wont be blacks in the upper and middle class, these white liberals and their news agents deciding for black people what is good for them and what is not good for are the real enemy of black people, they love to shout institutional racism, poverty and discrimination but can these whites liberals allow those poor blacks to live in their neighborhood or give their jobs to black, NO.
You might wanna check this maybe it will help.

Business › Re: How to Invest in Uber/ E hailing business (Hire Purchase Model) by jaymejate: 2:37pm On Apr 11, 2020
mrsage:
Hello,

I'm a transporter. I've been in this business since 2013 and I just love it.

I started as a cab man and I'm still in the business till today.

Over time we have witnessed a lot of changed and E hailing as we call it now has come to stay. The major E- hailing operators are Uber and Taxify.

They present a business opportunity for investors and a form of employment for the drivers as well.

I want shed more light on a particular model that can produce profitable results for any potential or existing investor.

The business model is this.

1. Buy a car or use the car you have already ( if its good enough for the business)

2. Give it to a driver on Hire Purchase.

That's all. Sounds so simple but there are several factors involved and an entire process to follow.

That's the essence of this thread.

Welcome on board....
I read all through your post.
I will like to ask, for those getting into Uber or bolt through Hire purchase, since the money has not been paid fully, the driver is not the owner of the car and he will not be given the change of ownership docs.
While driving, this will be needed by law enforcement officials on the road.

Then, the question is, who will register the car with Uber/Bolt? The driver or the owner giving the car on Hire Purchase?

Please kindly elaborate on this. Thanks.

Hello ☺️ (it's wierd you asked for my suggestion, but what the hell?)
The way I see it, you're going in only for the money and in doing so you're ignoring a lot of factors. I want to believe you can drive very well even though this is your first time of collecting a driver's licence.
Even with that said, driving on hp requires you go the extra in order to pay off the hirer and enjoy the car for as little time as you can,and I'm sure local man would like rest but unless you're badly in need of weekly cash and you're highly self motivated i'd say go for it
And also I don't think Uber or bolt would accept you as a driver without a valid permanent drivers license
P.S : the money you would be expecting to make in a month is highly dependable on luck and how smart you are in choosing locations
I'd advise you read up post from Angryigboman (dude is very informative and detailed) also watch out for post quoting him also.
Best of luck☺️
Lest i forget you can get your driver's institute license at the lastma office in oshodi after the lockdown .
Thank you very much. You nailed it.
