Firstly, I'm against the "it shall not be well..." blah blah blah talks but i must say, from the initial, the source of this, if you read it well, Felicity0001 actually addressed the rider very well. He was angry but He didn't show it, he even sent a message to the rider advising him to check the rules and regulation and also welcoming the rider to Uber He did nothing bad and i see no reason for you to say "fara buruku bale", he didn't show anger. At least from his post. At least he no push the rider into the car by force and go drop am for Third Mainland Bridge. Bro Felicity, i no enter you o. He did quite well to be honest.

Felicity0001: False!!!
Let driver report the case to the police stating everything that happened, police will arrest the owner and take the car to station, owner will bail himself then let the complainant ask the IPO to charge the case to court i.e if the DPO is unable to settle the matter amicably. Im very certain court will rule in favor of thw driver provided he hasn't bridge the contract. There're laws guilding HP in court. Then that's better na |

That owner is very greedy. He can't demand 1m outright
If Driver has actually paid up to 3 fifth of the payment, he cannot just retrieve the car, he need to visit the court.
HP has a law in Nigeria guiding HP transactions.
Just as lagos state house rent law, you must draft an agreement with what the law stipulates.
I can assist you in 2 ways.
Option 1:
Send a copy of the hp agreement.
I will reach out to my lawyer for briefing. If lawyer says we have a chance in court, then we go court, if you win, you refund me the legal fee.
Option 2:
Pay the 2 months money, you're owning, then you refund me 10k weekly. That's great |

dapotemi: Please i need everyone's opinion on this issue; a friend brought it to me and i need your help please.
A friend of mine is on HP, 2007 Corolla for 2.5 million naira for 2 years. Car was naija used, but very clean, just about 4 month registered.
14 month gone and he has paid about 1.3 million; he had an accident two month ago with the car.
Fortunately, the car was comprehensively insured by the driver (Please note that it was a 3rd party that was done by owner) but the driver insisted that comprehensive is best for HP, so the driver used his own personal money to fully insure the vehicle. All repairs was done by insurance, car was even painted.
It took insurance 7 weeks to repair the vehicle, but immediately the car was fixed, the owner just seized it that he's no longer interested in HP, and that the driver should pay 1 million and take the car; because he will be travelling soon. My guy is totally confused, he cant raised such amount and car is still with owner. My friend is afraid owner might sell and japa, since he wants to travel out of the country. Please, i need your advice, not just from the point of driver, also from owner's perspective. Please help! God! This is sad. With the accident, and not remitting any thing per week as stated in the contract or agreement (which is a must), your friend have defaulted the agreement and the agreement shall be determined and vehicle recovered EXCEPT it was stated in the agreement that "in the case of severe accident, the hirer can be graced to stop paying till the vehicle is repaired and fully restored" or something related to that clause sha, but i doubt it would be there. Now it will take God and a good owner to pardon the hirer due to the "accident". But this owner in question is not. You have to plead with the owner or raise anything up to 600k. The owner might reconsider. God will help you |

chijioke17: Good day all, I decided to register and start e-hailing during my spare time, so I started my bolt registration and I have been activated, I don't know if it is temporarily, but I haven't gone for inspection or uploaded any documents. Just for fun I decided to go online and see if I could get trips, fortunately/unfortunately I did get a trip, I wasn't ready to go on any trips so I just let the acceptance time run out. So I was wondering, can I take trips even without inspection and uploading of my documents, and if so, for how long? This is weird. Without inspection, without uploading any car documents? Damn, this is weird |

Excuse me everybody. This driver's badge. It's causing confusion o. I got to the Old Secetariat ikeja for it. Weytin dem tell us b4 na say 4k. What they told me is that, we will bring driver accreditation confirmation which will be collected at the Lasdri, oshodi. Then come with the paper (picture below) with road worthiness of the vehicle and sum of 11k for the Badge. Wait is the badge fto Train Captains? I shock, i even de follow them argue. Izzou, felicity0001, eyinola and others. Please confirm this. I de overthink now Anyways, for those who wants to know more about it. That's it right there. You will pay 1k at the Lasdri oshodi for confirmation. Then take the slip to Old secetariat, Code of conduct at Ikeja, show them the slip and pay 11k (Jesus) That's all

ekehopp: Finally came “positively full circle” today with my driver accounts.
Timeline below:
-24th May: Commenced online driver-partner registration on both Uber and Bolt. Vehicle inspection for both done a week later. -24th June: Bolt activated my account -17th July: Uber activated my account
As both offices are closed, had to follow up via email and Twitter for Bolt. And via Twitter and the Driver app (booking an in-person appointment; sending messages to support) for Uber.
Covid19 has been brutal. But i thank God for fortunate decisions I made earlier, and for the Ride-sharing industry.
The barriers are not erected! @bolded It seems it took them 1 month to activate your account. Why. I thought they activate it immediately or 24hrs after you unpload and submit all the documents needed with inspection report and quiz taken? Why your a month? What delayed |
