@lagusta hmmmm.......u wan fight 4 ya skul? u c,d rating is based on medicals generally,not mbbs alone..,d higher d amount of medical courses,d higher d facilities...d skuls in 1 to 5 all have dentistry,nursing and sum,physiotherapy in addition 2 their mbbs,.. does ya skul av any of those? |

hmmm......interesting!!!! @LAGUSTA.,wat i fink is dat watever field one is,just pray 2 b successful...presently in my town,one of d biggest private hospitals is owned by a nurse,d man is far richer dan most DOCS in d town..mind u! my town has a teaching hospital... d man prescribes and administers drugs,many pple prefer him to many DOCS and he has a theatre in his hospital... i even wonder sumtyms where he learnt evryfin he knows....anyway,i heard he did his own nursing in INDIA or so. 1 Like |

Shakidor: Full meaning of ur acronyms pls?D acronyms are 4 d degrees awarded 2 medical students.. MBBS and MBChB are 4 medicine and surgery BDS and BChD are 4 dental surgery.. mind u,nursing and physiotherapy aspirants can as well join d thread pls..... |

@lagusta The hospital is 48th Armed Forces Hospital,Lagos,..the hospital is owned by d millitary.. there are 3 of such hospitals in naija...others are 68th Armed Forces Hospital,LAGOS and armed forces hospital,KADUNA.. You can visit the MDCN Website to know d amount of docs they can take in 4 internship every year.d site is mdcnigeria.org HOW TO ENTER? they also start there clinical postings in part 4. and they do internship,they collect the same amount wif medicine students during housemanship.i even HEARD that they are paid higher than medicine studs in 44th armed forces hospital,lagos where i HEARD they collect almost 300k per month. |

@LAGUSTA Dentistry is 6 yrs ooo,the course is very complex,even more complex dan medicine,i av a bro. doin it...among all the courses mbbs students do,it is only O and G they don't do...they do anatomy,physiology,biochem,pathology,medicine,surgery,paediatrics,little psychiatry n all other courses mbbs will do..in addition they do oral anatomy,oral physio,oral medicine,oral and maxillofacial surgery,oral patho,oral paediatrics,orthodontics,periodontics,restorative dentistry,community denistry among many odas 1 Like |

PRESERVER: Medicine is temporary unavailable until full acreditation by NUC.boss,it is not NUC dat accredits medicine,it is MDCN..NUC only approves the MB and they've already approved it for uniosun..while MDCN accredits BS based on the quality of the uni's teaching hospital,so uniosun has MB but no BS |

Vakinmuyiwa: Hey frnds,if u hav been offered admission,try checking ur admission status on jamb website...i just checked mine and imagine,it says i hav bin offered admission to study medicine and surgery,and whereas on uniosun website,i was offered microbiology.@ preserver and mayorellal,PLS give an explanation to this.I will appreciate ur view on this.Dat's surprising but wat course did u choose in jamb? |
