Hello All, im applying for my green card (I-485 adjustment of status) and USCIS requires a copy of my birth certificate, the thing is i cant find mine and have people searching, i asked my Mom to reach out to National Population Commission, and they say they only issue attestation for people 18+, based on the reciprocity rules, USCIS wont accept this. I was born in Plateau state Jos 1997, is there somebody who can help navigate around this ? |
DiviO29:I suggest you pick the earliest date you find, and continue checking and paying attention to this thread, i also did thesame thing |
Congratulation to all those who got their visa approved today... Forward Forward |
Please, is it possible to sign the "proxy collection" form, scan it and send to someone around my pickup location to print, and go ahead to help me pickup my passport from the collection centre ? |
fairheart:Good point! |

Make i book space for here this night/tomorrow would be interesting |
R2bees:and your call up number? |
abdulsemiu02:Is like you were asleep in maths class use your scientific calculator and do callUpNo Modulus 4 you would surley get a value between 0 and 3. if u get 0, that means ur 4th choice would be given |
After reading through this thread https://www.nairaland.com/2917489/how-nysc-select-pcms-state i came up with a way to predict state of deployment as you would see in my comment in that thread. Now to test the hypothesis can serving or past corp nemebers drop the states they chose and their callup numbers ...so i can test the hypothesis. |

Then going by this algorithm and Assuming your call up number is incremental, i.e ascending, then the following formula can predict your state let y = your callup number. let x = 4 (total number of choices). then your predicted choice = the remainder of (y/4). if there is no remainder, then your 4th choice is given ; for example, y= 170085,and x = 4; and i chose Abia,Plateau,Lagos,Edo my predicted state would be 170085/4 which is 42521 remainder 1, therefore i would be given Abia state. |
Hey ghyz, so i know nysc dont post corp members to banks. What if i am rejected at the place they post me to, and i get accepted in a micro finance bank. Would nysc agree?? |

Miserablemee:Just login the portal by the left you would see a "Course Correction" link...click on it and do the needful |
Oh another tip for the camera is to...place a phone's flashlight behind the laptops webcam..focus the light slightly above the face..it should work |
dayoemmy:did you still see lagos and abuja amongst your options? |
The trick to the face capture is, make sure the laptop's camera has correct sharpness and does not blur or mess with images....and also ensure that there is just enough lighting...FYI make sure light is not focused on the camera |
