Also try Universities that has Delta has one of their catchment areas or Universities in Delta State. It will be an added advantage for you.

The truth is sometimes what you call passion may not be it in the long run.

For me getting admission in any course in an accredited university is a good start only if you know how to leverage on it for opportunities.

I used to have passion for a particular course when seeking admission those days for years.

It got to a point I decided that even if I'm given admission in any course I will accept it.
As God will have it, it never happened even with a JAMB score of 264, were as people with 200 and above were been admitted in similar courses without even sorting for admission.

I'm currently in my 400L in the course which I had passion for right from the onset and I have come to discover that sometimes, one need to look beyond passion.

Courses like Social works which I downgraded so much when I was looking for admission because of my myopic understanding then are now hot-cakes. Someone also mentioned Psychology and many others.

Reading a particular course is good but leveraging on available opportunities in any course is the best.

Don't be confused. The truth is pray, seek God's help and look beyond passion.

I was giving admission to study Ortho. Tech at Ondo City Poly but da skul isn't accredited by NUC, so am afraid if not I would have been there studying while waiting for MBBS(fed. Uni) or Nursing Science (State uni-cux of time boss)..

Let me begin this way. Coming from the point that your Dad would soon retire and that Medicine is a 6+x years(in Nigeria) course, I'd ask that you be flexible about your methods.

You can't keep trying to do something the same way and you expect a different result.

Your father would be retiring soon and I'd advice you apply for something less competitive like (in no particular order)
Medical Laboratory Science,
Radiography,
Dental Therapy,
Nursing,
Dental Nursing,
Pharmacy,
Optometry (6 years),
Physiotherapy/ Medical Rehabilitation
Pharmacy Technician
Dental Technologist
Dental Therapy

With the any of the above, you'd be able to fend for yourself and still be able to chase after medicine (as a second degree of course).

Avoid the following (because of your peculiar case):
Chemistry
Physiology
Anatomy
Microbiology
Biochemistry

I was given admission to study Nursing, one scholarship stuff like that but the University is not accredited by Nigeria....

Microbiology at UI but don't have passion for it, I know I will still drop out and waste of little resources I have.

Just wanna give some heads-up. twas not easy for me in school to to be honest but in 300L my guy link me up with a business like Poultry birds marketing that involves linking buyer and seller and then getting my own commission per bird sold atimes #20, 30, 50 so if a farmer is willing to sell his bird 500/one I'll market it for #600 so if you wanna buy and want to price kpata pata I go sha see like #20 or #30 so if the bird is 1,000 in number that's 1,000 * #30 = 30k just for linking buyer n seller and if you con get lucky dey get order Everytime without doing Yahoo bro you'll be providing/meeting all ur needs

The other one is Clothing. buy or collect on credit (that's if you sabi who dey sell the clothes weller) but for me I had a guy in Lagos then that sells boutique grade clothes 1,300/1,500 when boutique sells 3k, 4k me I'll just go Lag collect and come sell for Yahoo guys 2k sometimes #2,500 and I'll cashing out from Yahoo guys themselves but you just gotta be friendly

The Bible says A man's talent would make a way for him. if Cyber security is what ur good at, why not further in it and you best believe countries like China, Germany, Hong Kong, Sweden and many more would be ready to accept you with opened arms. used to have a roommate in 200L Alaka he was good with anything computer/software, 2nd semester we din see him again only to reach out to him on FB and find out he's already in Germany. so there's lotta opportunities if ur tech inclined.

Why I earlier said Psychology is someway somehow you can still work in an Hospital that's if you'll further in Clinical psychology and luckily for you both Computer science and psychology are both 4years

Sir...I love you for this, I have this fear also! Just like am not focused on my dream, sometimes I would jokingly talk to them, I want to do computer science cux am very good at anything Cybersecurity... Although never took any course just naturally talented but they will tell me am not focused and it's pains me a lot and keeps my thinking anyhow...

Your dilemma is not really clear. If you've had admissions to a course your daddy don't like but you don't mind, why not do it?

If you've not gotten admission yet, why not find some alternatives: open university, predegree programmes or some apprenticeship. Any of these will take your mind off your home predicament.

I heard of some UK banning some countries to come practice, and Nigeria was included....
