A video has surfaced online in which Waje said she wants to try other things apart from music because it has being taking most of her money without a good Return on Investment.

Samsung announced the coming of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 yesterday, August 2, 2016 as is the usual practise with the Galaxy Note series, which is announced around August of each year and released into the market a few weeks after.

The much touted Aso Villa Demo Day kicked off today in Lagos and we’ve seen lots of tech start-ups pitching their ideas to different sets of judges.

Aso Villa Demo Day is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, job creation and economic growth through the use of new and emerging technologies. This event will celebrate some of the best Nigerians in technology innovation and creativity and also feature inspiring talks from thought leaders and experts from different economic sectors in Nigeria.
Contestants came on stage to pitch their business idea to the panel of judges to have the chance to be selected as part of the 30 people that would have present their idea to the president of the country, ministers of the federation and other investors.

The first day of the event saw various ideas pitched. From ideas that are just still that; ideas, to ideas that have been built into running businesses, those that are still being built and so on. Some sound interesting and exciting while some sound more like the opposite of that. Some sound like they are economically viable and some are not. There were pitches that are capital-intensive while the funding needs of some other ones are not so steep.

Some of the ideas pitched just to mention a few includes
- HR Software by Talent Base and they are looking for two million dollars ($2m) in funding
- TRAX – A tax collection system, which requires tax collection agents to go around with a device that is capable of processing payments, registering taxpayers into a central database and also taking biometric data amongst other things.

Ese Oruru is a girl that hails from Bayelsa state and was allegedly abducted by one Yinusa and taken to Kano state, forced into a marriage with Yinusa and converted to Islam.

Her abduction saga has taken the whole nation by storm as it has thrown up so much dust about inter-tribal, inter-religion issues as well as the attitude of law enforcement regarding such matters.

Here are 15 things you have to know about this saga

1. Ese Rita Oruru is a 14-year-old girl, born to Mr and Mrs Charles Oruru, who are petty traders.

2. Ese Oruru was 13 years of age at the time of her alleged kidnap, she turned 14 while in the care of her alleged abductors.

3. According to information from her brother, Ese has two siblings: one brother and one sister.

4. Ese was allegedly kidnapped from her house in Opolo, Bayelsa state, and taken to Kano state, by a man identified as Yinusa, who was her mother’s customer.

5. Ese’s abductors allegedly converted her to Islam and changed her name to Aisha, when they took her to Kano, and they insisted on marrying her when her family members kept asking for them to return her to them.

6. Ese Oruru’s ‘situation’ caught the eyes of the ‘high and mighty’ in the society, when she was said to have been kept in the emir’s palace by her abductors, a story which he denied. The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, Senator Ben Murray Bruce and Oby Ezekwesili, decided to help rescue Ese.

7. According to reports, Ese said she was 17-years-old and not 14-years-old as widely speculated, and was not kidnapped by anybody, she said she willingly eloped with her ‘lover’ Yinusa.

8. According to Ese’s brother, Onome, she never would have converted to Islam willingly, because she was a strong member of the Scripture Union, and loved evangelism.

9. Ese was abducted in August 2015, and has been away from her parents for over 6 months.

10. Ese was allegedly released on March 1, to men of the zone 1 police command, according to Rabilu Ringim, the spokesman.

11. His mother is now in Abuja to see her daughter face-to-face and have her handed over to her.

12. Ese appears to be about 5 months pregnant as her stomach is visibly protruding.

13. The man at the center of the abduction, Yinusa is now in police custody and is about to be charged to court according to the police.

14. Her case is one of the many cases of child-marriages, as situation that is still rampant in Nigeria especially in the Northern part of the country.

15. She has now been handed over to her parents by the Nigerian Police in Abuja.

Hehehe! Somewhere around Ogba this afternoon, a Mercedes Benz car and a Toyota Sienna met on a road that could only contain a car at a time because cars were already parked on both sides of the road. The man driving the Mercedes Benz car should have waited for the Toyota Sienna to pass first, but the driver instead tried to get past the narrow strip before the Toyota Sienna and they ended up blocking themselves.

The driver of the Mercedes Benz then got out of his car, locked it up and went to a nearby shop to drink yoghurt. This led to passers-by raining abuses on him as he prevented all vehicular movement for about thirty (30) minutes except for motorcycles that were able to manoeuvre between the cars.

After a lot of abuses were rained on the driver of the Mercedes Benz, he finally came back to move his car.

Work has started on the National School Feeding Programme (NSFP) in Nigeria as promised by the government of President Muhammadu Buhari. We would recall that the provision of free meals to primary school pupils was a major point in what the All Progressive Congress (APC) promised Nigerians when they were campaigning to be elected into office.

On Wednesday, December 16, 2015 and Thursday, December 17, 2015, stakeholders from the Agricultural sector, Health sector and Educational sector and the Banking sector gathered together to design a model for the programme and agree on how the National School Feeding Programme would run in Nigeria. Kaduna state is being used as a pilot for the project and whatever works there would be replicated across all the other states in Nigeria.

The project is under the auspices of the office of the Vice President of Nigeria, so staff from the VP’s office were the ones running the show. They tried to carry everybody along and involved everybody present in coming up with a model that would effectively move the farm produce of farmers from the farm to the stomach of the pupils in the school and to also fashion out how each stakeholder in the chain would be involved and be paid for their services.

Android Device Manager (ADM) is powered by Google and does not depend on your SIM. Just go to http://www.google.com/android/devicemanager and follow the instructions in the article to activate it on your device. As long as you have a valid Google account on your device, then you are good to go with ADM.
