Odumchi was supposed to be Eze Igbo NL. He creates divisive threads. How I wish Onlytruth returns as our Eze.. How will anybody create this kind of thread when even the goats knows that Anambra has far more population than any state around. Onitsha alone has become far more cosmopolitan in Nigeria only 3rd to Lagos and PH. There are too many non Anambrans and non Igbos living in Onitsha today due to the expansion of the city. More banks and other corporate businesses has opened in the city thereby expanding its population. I think the population ranking should go thus: Anambra Imo Enugu Abia Ebonyi 1 Like |

Even the Nkwo Nnewi Shopping Mall that will host the Shoprite was equally approved for construction.. The construction of Awka Shoprite and Onitsha Shoprite are presently ongoing.. |

Anyways better late than never, they say Obi saved and invested a lot of money which I think it has yielded so much interest that he is now using to re-invest in Anambra. Don't forget that Obi is a core administrator who built his companies from the scratch. |

jerseyboy: Misplaced priorities. The people will be poorer for it. Better to spend that money building infrastructures in onithsha and other commercial cities that will creat wealth. Onitsha is presently getting the required attention on infrastructure. Have you been to Head Bridge, Upper Iweka and Nkpo flyover recently? There are over 3 pedestrian bridges construction ongoing presently in Onitsha. Even more projects has been approved for Onitsha in this phase. 1 Like |

The Anambra government has approved the construction of a permanent Government House and a new Governor’s Lodge in Awka, the Commissioner for Information, Chief Jormartins Uzodike, said. Uzodike told newsmen in Awka on Tuesday that the government had also approved the immediate construction of a banquet hall, a new House of Assembly, Speaker’s Lodge, judiciary headquarters and chief judge’s residence. The commissioner, who briefed newsmen on the outcome of the state’s Executive Council meeting, said all the projects would be built at the cost of N4.8 billion and would be cited at Greenwood Layout, in the state capital. He said the construction of the new office complex for the House of Assembly and the extension of the existing legislative building would cost N190 million. He added that the council had approved the rehabilitation of the portion of the expressway between Amawbia Roundabout and the Amansea Bridge in Awka, with streetlights and a pedestrian walkway at the cost of N5 billion. The rehabilitation of the highway would give Awka a befitting look, he noted. “Approval was also given for the construction of Nkwo Nnewi Shopping Mall and infrastructure at the cost of N3 billion and a contract for the review and publishing of the state laws volumes 1 – 10 at N40 million. “The council also approved the construction of the 5.3 kilometers Achina-Onneh-Agbudu-Ogboji Road at the cost of N770 million, as well as a 3.4-kilometer road from Nnokwa to Ichida at the cost of N580 million. “The construction of Afor Umunya-Odumodu junction-Onitsha-Enugu expressway was also approved at the cost of N240 million, as well as the construction of 22 kilometers road across the state at the cost of 6.3 billion,’’ he said. The commissioner added that approval had also been given for the reconstruction of the Nkitaku-Obe-General Hospital Road in Agulu at the cost of N600 million. He added that the All Saints Church Road in Umunnamechi-Uli and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital’s internal roads in Ihiala Local Government Area would be rehabilitated at the cost of N300 million. The council had also approved the rehabilitation of the dual-carriage way and service roads from Upper Iweka to Zik Roundabout in Onitsha at the cost of N3.5 billion. Ngige is a charismatic leader full of strength, tested and trusted. I foresee APC fielding Ngige as its Presidential candidate and Fashola as his running mate. APC can use that avenue to draw votes from the SE. What is your views concerning this?

ifeci: yes u do, no doubt; bt wn placed side by side wit d numba of illiterates, it bcoms insignificant NO! How to assess it is thus: place Anambra side by side with other states then you will find out that Anambra standsout and ranks number ONE. You can start the ranking with your state so we can really assess it. The fact is that Anambra ranks number ONE in almost everything positive due to their very high ambition in education, business, industry etc.. Anambra comes tops in JAMB, WACE, UNITY SCHOOLS etc. use it for your assessment for instance. |

Hw many of those frontliners do u hv as compared to the population on market men & women in dt state Anambra has good population of literate people, at least when you compare it to other Nigerian states, Anambra comes out first while others follows.. Urine: With this attitude, how will the SE produce a President?[b] Who told you that we want to produce the president? Power comes from God. No Nigerian president has ever worked for it. Obj never did, it was given to him on a plater of gold. Yaradua was never interested in it but he was forced to become the president even at his own will. GEJ was never thinking about being president until circumstance brought him this far. Infact in 1999 Ekwueme was the most qualified candidate from academic, administration to all areas of human endeavor. I could still remember that debate was called for in 1998 Obj never showed up as he was not prepared for the election nor does he know what to say. It was only Ekwueme that showed up for the debate. So in the same manner God in Heaven Will give us what is truly ours when the time comes. Its not by struggle, watch out all the people that have struggled for it, they never got it. Buhari can contest from now till the next 30years he will never be the president of Nigeria.
