pazienza: Abagworo is right, states are but arificial boundaries, an uga man is more related to an akokwa man than to an nnewi man, onitsha and ogbaru are of the same stock with delta north and oguta, orumba south are of the same stock with umunneochi and okigwe groups, that's how it flows. You are right and wrong at the same time. Like I have always told abagworo no part of Anambra has anything in common with any part of Imo state. Not in culture, not in marriage, no nothing whatsoever. Anambra people don't even marry from Imo state, in most cases we Anambrans consider it a taboo to do that. Anambra has some things in come with some parts of Anioma in Delta and small part of Enugu state. |
Afam4eva: Mr, people can compare Nnewi to Ibadan in a particular capacity but not as a city in whole. Ibadan is one of the most important cities in Nigeria and Nnewi isn't. NNewi is only mentioned in the capacity as a commercial and most importantly, an Automobile town/city. Nnewi still has a long way to go to be able to compete with the likes of Ibadan, Enugu, PH, Jos etc. It's a town that's growiing in infrastructure. You have a genuine point. They should not get it twisted! |
Zona.com:Ozulubu may end up being the prime place in the near future as Nnewi main town has been bought 100%. |
asha 80: who be una?I didn't get your point? |
. |
Ngige should just forget the next election, its obvious going by the abysmal failure of the APC led government in imo state, we can't expect anything different from him. We will all vote Obiano the technocrat! |
Good initiative. Keep it up! |
achi4u: This is my initial post on this thread. Hw can you remove Ibeto community bank, those banks, those 3 to 4 story buildings ,the market? There is nothing that is impossible. It can be done. The road leading to Nkwo Triangle is already wide, so dualizing and reconstructing it will not be too hard. Mind you it is only the major roads in the city that can be dualized. People said the same thing at HeadBridge, but today those structures has given way for the gigantic road network that has been built across Head bridge all through to Upper Iweka, Nkpor and on and on.. I heard from Obiano's statement yesterday that he is going to dualise all the major roads and streets in Anambra that are yet to be dualized. |
Onyegecha: It is often said that one should look at the mother of any girl he wants to marry. If he likes what he sees, it's a green light but if not, he should run as fast as he can.And some fools will come here to show us shabbily done roads as dividend of democracy when in real terms the entire state does not have a single decent hospital that can treat human being. Even with all the loans he has borrowed what I can see is zero government presence. A friend of mine from Arondizogu is doing his trad marriage next week but I won't go because of very bad and dangerous roads across rural areas in imo state |
![]() @Onyegecha, I don't know what to say yet. But as for Okorosha his disastrous failure in providing dividend of democracy has messed his career up. I keep saying it that Imo state people threw away Ohakim with the bad water, he was actually far better than this presetn clown. The combined clowns of okorosha and Ngige cannot even win Alor, ngige's home town talk more of Anambra. Our votes has since gone in advance to Obiano the technocrat. The evil called okorosha should not be allowed to step into any part of Anambra. I even heard that his father hails from Taraba state. What a shame to have an aboki as a governor of Imo state. |
@Afam: You made some points there. But it is getting better and it can only get better in Onitsha and Nnewi.. |
asha 80: meaning nnewi is beginning to have an effect on surrounding towns like that onitsha has affected obosi, nkpor, nkwelle ezunaka and the rest.Yes of course, even the UNIZIK Teaching Hospital will move to their massive perm site before the end of the year. So once they move to their befitting perm site there will be enough land around that axis for expansion and overall development of the city. |
achi4u: Thank you too.It is possible. We can all make it work by contributing constructively and physically in one way or the other. Like as I said earlier creating enabling environment for investors (FDIs) to be able to draw capital and create employment for us is key and that is the road map. It will trigger alot of other activities and over all development. |
asha 80: i recently heard that neighbouring ozubulu is turning into an industrial town...how true is that?Ozubulu is the next door neighbor to Nnewi, development is fast spilling over into Ozubulu. Remember that Beverly Hills Hotel is almost at the boundary between Ozubulu and Nnewi. And both towns are all monied region. |
achi4u: hahahahaConstructive criticism and not the one filled with hate, bitterness, complex and frustration. I have been following you on NL, I have not seen you make any bitter comment all the time I have known you here. You have been balanced and neutral. You know most of my people here are playing too gentle to check the menace of abagworo, but I have taken it upon myself to whip him in line whenever he rears his ugly head. Daluu rinne.. |
achi4u: Honestly we're growing but on a snail speed. You are right and part of the things I think states should start doing right now is to build there own economy to be self sufficient. Create enabling environment to attract multinational investors in order to create more and more jobs. The first thing is to create wealth then such key infrastructures as Port, rail line are needed as well. Connecting our rail lines to our various inland Ports as Onitsha, Warri, Bayelsa, Lokoja, Baro etc. is very key to overall industrialization of SE and Nigeria at large. This was the same way the Asian Tigers: Japan, China, Indonesia, Malaysia started. |
achi4u: Again, this beautiful thread about NNEWI should not be turn to al shabab territory. They never made any useful contribution just like you are doing now, rather they chose to talk down on a state that is way to far ahead of theirs due to their complex. Did I counter you unnecessarily now? Is because you are making comments that are balanced and should be appreciated. I have always known abagworo his bitterness and frustration coupled with his complex is legendary. But I have sworn to be out for him to demolish him at all cost both physically and on NL. |
B2 mario: that's the same place my anger lies.Chaii ![]() How can your anger lie in a place that by 100 million miles better and ahead of your state? This is same hypocrisy am talking about. Maybe same man from the creek gave birth to you and abagworo. lol |
Afam4eva: Thanks for inviting me. Pls, next time endeavor to report the exact post(s) that violates the rules.I ga di nwanne mu..daluu! We have to keep it civil at all cost! |
achi4u: yes! Ezeiweka road has been built, that road is something else before.Okwu gi kwu oto.. You know that Rome was not built in a day? It is already getting better and it can only get better. Most of the roads both rural and urban are being rebuilt. The economy is getting better, investors are coming, jobs are being created. The glory is being improved and all.. |
cashkid18: i heard dt dis chino of a guy is already married wit kids,bt his behaviour here on nl does nt potray him as a grown up man.hw cn u engag in an ewar wit ur fellow tribemen n kips derailin his thread..if dont like it y dont u open ur own thread n show us pics of anambra rural areas,we all know dt they ar bad roads in everywhere in nig includin fct bt does nt mean dt rochas is nt tryin for imo peeps..so my bro chino u shud quit hatin ur fellow tribesmen cuz we ar all dsame**cheers*Try to understand me oo.. Some of these e-wars you see are ignited by abagworo by his usual d1ck measuring. I only reciprocate by going to the mud with him. His comments on NL has always been filled with hate and bitterness. Am sure it may not be unconnected with his complex. |
Abagworo: I told you where to meet me at Government house. Mr Chizi.Ok I will be in PH tomorrow all through friday. Choose a date in between? Or rather you can come to where I opened my PH office at Geometric Road just beside Shell IA. I can't just come to govt house and ask of chizi when you are not the governor..lol Where in govt house?? |
Abagworo: Small boy how does this thread concern your State? It is a thread dedicated to showcasing the positive change being experienced in Imo State in the past 2years. Infrastructural developments in Imo alongside Enugu should prove that Igbos like good things and life is not all about money. I don't really reside in Imo but visit occasionally just like Abia and Anambra. I also visit Enugu but I rarely visit Ebonyi.Lmao! The last time I was in PH I begged to see you so that we will know who is oga and a boy but you dodged like a criminal you are? Even your so called 'golden' imo state you are not living in it. Its a shame! It is only Enugu and Anambra that there is hope for Ndigbo. Going by the pictures we have up here there is no hope for Imo state people until the clown is sweep away. Can you imagine that okorosha has been painting the roads built by Mbakwe in in 60s while we are in the 21st century. Okorosha has borrowed over 70billion+federal allocation+13% derivation! What has he done with it except painting of roads and leaving the entire state to rot. |
^ Nwokem if there is any state to weep for it is your state. There is nothing you will say that will justify that your state is not the worst thing to happen to SE. Nigeria generally needs a face lift, we can make it better.. |
Ezi okwu.. ![]() If only you can do your eulogizing without your usual drawing my state which is by all indices of development light years ahead of yours into your usual d1ck measuring then we can co-exist but if not.. |
I will need to be here to whip you in line so that you do not bring your usual bitterness and frustration here! |
Abagworo: Its not even about the year but the buildings are impressive.. The discoloration is mainly as a result of dust from bad roads. If the roads are done with pavements and covered drainage, that place will be lovely. It pains me greatly that many people view that as waste of funds. My problem is the way you talk as if you come from the moon, meanwhile we have worst thing in your state. I have always begged you to spend small of the energy on pushing okorocha to give you people good roads both in rural areas and not all these road painting he is doing on roads somebody built 30years ago. Hypocrisy ![]() |
o'boy:I didnt say that Awada is Silicon Valley. All that I said is that some roads in Awada has been done and some are at various degrees of completion like Ezeiweka etc. |
@Mario Talk about Aba, leave Onitsha out of your equation because it is far far neater with good infrastructures. There is no place to be equated to the mess in Aba in all indices of development. Fact! |
