Does a 2016 Camry differential require oil change as in older Camry like 2000?
Differential or transmission?
For transmission, yes it does. It's a sealed transmission and is said to last the lifetime of the car according to the manufacturer, but not changing the transmission oil at every 50,000 miles would shorten the lifetime.
For the differential, it's a front front wheel drive car and the differential is joined with the transmission to make it a single unit unlike rear wheel drive or multiple drive wheel cars that have a separate differential and transfer case that should be serviced and lubed separately.

Yes. It's not idling fine or it misfires when the car is not on motion. I thought i would get tips or info here because most people i have gone to meet were running away from Nissan, even to scan the car sef they no gree, they said they don't do Nissan. Why are people running from Nissan? Nigerians get wahala o. Below is a picture of the Nissan.
If you're in Lagos, call 07089030689 for a scan and possible fix.
But for the sake of those reading, so many things could have gone wrong from the accident to the 1 month it spent at the repair shop.
1. Vacuum leaks would disrupt the car's performance and cause a rough idle.
2. Evaporator leaks. This would be difficult to diagnose without a smoke machine and give similar faults as vacuum leaks.
3. Camshaft sensor faults. A faulty camshaft sensor will give similar condition you're experiencing and would also make the car go off or go into limp mode depending on how sever the fault is.
4. Poor ground connection. A bad ground would give off several electrical faults including poor idling.
5. Failing fuel pump or dirty fuel system.
And the list goes on and on.
Your best bet as advised is getting the car scanned and properly diagnosed.

Carrolla's S 2011 consume fuel a lot.
I recently started using it for bolt.
I don't even get gain from it.
I bought fuel of 25k used it for bolt trips.
After bolt commission I was left with 19k plus.
Losing 6k
As suggested, get the car scanned.
Check if your brakes are binding.
Check for low tyre pressures.
Inspect and clean your air filter.
Check if you have a manual AC compressor.
Finally inspect the tip of your exhaust, it will tell if your car is burning just petrol, or oil as well to know the state of the engine.

I parked the car there for over a month,i left the key with him. He changed my boot because someone bashed me from behind. But could that be the reason why my engine doesn't steam well while the car is parked? Or could it be a vacuum leak or so?
By steam I believe you meant the car is not idling fine or misfires at idle.
If that's it, then I'd suggest you get the car scanned.

Na una dey kill motor. Engine on its way out when its obvious its valve stem seals
I hope you understood what you wrote out as your complains?
A bad valve stem seal would make the car emit smoke under the following conditions
1. When you start the car after parking it for a long time. Oil seeps into the combustion chamber from the bad seal and is burnt out.
2. When the car has idled for long and you attempt to drive off. You will see a puff of smoke which will disappear after a while and repeats itself when placed under similar condition.
3. When you attempt overtaking. Just like the example above, your engine will puff out smoke from the tail pipe.
What you complained was bluish smoke when you rev and hold the RPM. That is a telltale sign of a worn out piston rings, and possibly clearance within the cylinder wall.
So sir/ma, the bitter truth be say that your engine is likely on it's way out.
Regardless of what the issue is, you'll need to tear down into the engine to get it fixed.

I don't have the repair history. Just a newly bought Nigerian used car.
Your car is most likely sluggish because of the shift solenoid code.
For the timing codes, you might need to confirm the timing is right and while at it check to see if your cam sprocket has been tampered with.

Good day sir. I dropped my car at the panel beater's place for panel beating work and when i went to carry it,i found out that the brakes have suddenly become hard even when the engine is on,very hard and the brakes are no longer effective like before. And the engine doesn't steam well as it used to. I checked all the hoses and they are all connected to their various positions. When i press the brakes when engine is on i normally hear hissing sound from the leg room coming from the driver's side. Please any suggestions for me? It's a 2007 Nissan versa.
What work did the panel beater do on the car?
Your brake booster is likely bad.

Good evening guys. Please I need help with my car. I drive a Peugeot 206. Since this January, 2024. My car have been misfiring, loss of power while driving like throttling to get power but the car will lose power instantly, but once you turn off and turn on the engine, it will regain power again and speed up. This experience can be very frustrating. I took it to my mechanic cum technician who chorused that the fault is fuel pump. I bought same n changed fault persisted. Brought the car back and he said is nozzle. I bought nozzle and changed, yet same problem. He later advised me to change my brainbox with BSI which he tagged at 100k.

Any suggestions on what might be the really issue. Thanks
He did all that without running a scan?

I have an issue with my W211 E320, the rear right tyre has been binding for ages now and it wear my pads really fast. Once I get new pads, it reduces until that one wears out and the issue becomes pronounced again.
I have changed callipers even swapped the brake disks (left to right) to see if the issue would change position and that would mean getting new disks but no, it's still on the same wheel.
Does anyone have an idea of what the issue could be, even my mech doesn't seem to know what to do at this point.
Trace the brake lines and flexible hose. If pinched or bent abnormally tight, replace.

Hello Babatundehy,

I own a Subaru Forester 1999 AWD and this car has been a reliable partner in different terrain and providing me with essential mobility.

Recently, I experience a little delay in acceleration which my mechanic checked and reported that one of the spark plugs is being soaked in engine oil and exhibiting engine wear. I have had to change the spark plugs, installed an adaptor on the weak spark plug and change the engine electrical coil. This helps the car operate normally but it is still far from its pristine condition.

The alternative advised by my mechanic is a replacement of the car engine and this procedure is 50/50 as other faults might develop from the installed engine.

I should add that I regularly service the car and replace the oil and filters every 2months.

I kindly request for your technical assistance on a complete rectification on this as the car has a great sentimental value for me.

Thank you.
Rebuild or replace the engine.

Hi guys , I love what you guys are doing and I send greetings to everyone of you .
I’m here because I recently got a 2007 Camry for 2.2 cos of bad engine . I fixed it and I started nothing another issue , which included AC was passed through relay . I fixed that too . But my current issue now is that when I’m driving and I get to 30 the car jerks forward but it’s a smooth drive afterwards. What couldn’t be issue with that ?
My mechanic said its probably because of the car had been sitting for too long before we purchased it . I would like a second opinion and also everything else works just the jerking .
Thanks in advance
The jerk could be anything from a bad or failing fuel pump, to your transmission acting up.
Get the car scanned to identify what the issue is.

Hi fam howdy?
I drive a venza V6 011, recently i noticed that it's having a hard time to start but recently it doesn't start at all and if it does it doesn't run for more than 3 seconds and it goes off. I had diagnosed and was told the fault has to do with the timing change.
I also noticed black smoke coming from the exhaust pipe, it was diagnosed to have a bad airflow meter which was changed but the smoke didn't stop and it also consumes alot of fuel 🤦
What's the repair history?

I once had a blinking D sometime in July 2022 on my acura. My mech said my transmission fluid was due for a change and he brought out the gear switch abi solenoid and cleaned them with carb cleaner. After everything, it stopped. Three days later, the D started blinking again and check transmission warning was coming up on my instrument cluster. I went back to him. He took me to someone who had a big scanner. An error code popped up. The guy cleared the error code. Since that time, my D has not blinked again.last year I went back to the guy to scan for a check engine light which happened to be my 02 sensor. I asked him to scan the transmission and there was no error code there.
What you had was possibly an intermittent fault, or you had dirt partially clogging the system that made it threw the fault code. The fact that you cleared the code and the light disappeared could be a mere coincidence. If the faults were a current issue, it will come back after a short drive or immediately and if it's not the light will go off on it's own without clearing.
Error codes are to direct the technician on what to check. Clearing it does not fix the issue.

Please need help and suggestions on honda accord 04 model. Replaced the transmission after the previous one failed and opted for total matic 4 transmission fluid. However after driving for about 1000km, the transmission fluid drops significantly and has to be topped up. Mechanic has checked and replaced seals, problem remains but the transmission remains dry without any sign of leak.
Considering the constant shortage, is it advisable to use a cheaper oando dextron 3 as top-up considering the different formulation or is there a permanent solution to this constant shortage?
You definitely have a leak somewhere.

You need to fix the suspension issue 1st before taking it for alignment.

Most mechanics will connect the fan direct without removing the thermostat,so that's definitely what happened which is the reason why the temperature gets to the middle within five minutes of driving.
Most mechanics that removes thermostat are scared of the temperature guage getting to the middle and wires the fan to run constantly.
Yours was an exception.

i know but you know that when the air is lean the car will use less fuel.

The way more air pump into the engine the car injected more fuel. If there is less air then there will also be less fuel
The reverse is the case.
When you have lesser air going into the car, the ECU compensates for the distorted air to fuel ratio and pumps in more fuel to compensate for it. So if you restrict the flow, your car will burn more fuel and not save it. Just like the scenery I painted earlier, you'll struggle running with nose mask on and forced to breath through your nose only.
You'll have lean mixture when you have more air and less fuel.

Initially, oil stays in my car for 3 months but since past 1 year now, it dries up too quick.

I have tried normal Mobil blue cover, I have semi synthetic and just on the 15th of last month, I decided to go for Mobil 1 and now it’s already below the minimum calibration.

Please what called be the problem and can it be fixed?

What I discovered yesterday. Might help with solving fuel economy.

When I changes the solenoid yesterday. My mechanic wanted to test drive it and he didn’t put back the air filter hose. When i told him to install back the filter box and hose he said the car will work like that incase the solenoid didn’t work well si he doesn’t have to lose it again.

Oboy this car drink my fuel when we test drink it in that state. They way my fuel gauge when down was shocking.

So I was just wondering if there is further restrictions on the air filter to starve the engine a bit of some air. Would the fuel economy improve further?
No. You'll starve the car or air. More like running full speed with nose mask on and forced to breath through your nose.
