Approved. chimex38: It's probably not hard to deduce.
Late entrants who subscribed to the public offer after TIP has achieved the SEC approved target, rather than refund them, the management can set up another Private placement arrangement of the exact excess amount approved at the AGM and use that to add to equity without returning the balance.
The only issue is, depending on the amount it will expand the outstanding shares far above what the initial PO and RI especially if the excess is substantial.. But if AGM approved it, no issue. (my thought though) |

You made your point. No need establishing a pull back. The alleged pull back wasn't official and actually occurred on the Ex div day/ mark down. The price quickly recovered. Re entry to increase volume is largely applicable to volatile stocks. For example, UPDC touched N9 and currently available at circa #4, one can try this and likely increase volume 50-100℅ chimex38: went as low as 147 few days after QD on April 1 (probably traded around 135-140 intra-day sef).
QD-April 1 PD-April28 AGM-April 27 Q1 2026- early Estimated April 29-30.
april is fully loaded for NASCON positively esp Q1 close by..
the slight pull back to 147 (or less intra-day) was just about enough to re-enter given the activity coming up. So yes, a pull back happened but unfortunately you didn't key in or you expected more pull-back (which is part of the risk involved)
Yes the strategy isn't entirely reliabe, especially on your pull back expectations.
It even gets worse If a positive sentimental news comes In-between to prevent any pull-back till infinity. But it was obvious NASCON couldn't retract that much in Aprilz unless the Q1 expectation was bad or -ve sentiment hovers for the industry within the time period. |

🏦 Nigeria might be getting a second stock exchange. And this is one I will be watching very closely.
A Professor — Prof Ndubuisi Ekekwe — just received an Approval-in-Principle from the SEC to launch a new securities exchange. It is called Contisx.
Targeting launch by September 2026.
Now before we get excited — AIP is not a full license yet. There are still boxes to tick before this becomes fully official. But the man behind it is not someone to dismiss.
Johns Hopkins PhD. Worked at Analog Devices and contributed to components used in the iPhone. Professor at Carnegie Mellon. TED Fellow. World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.
*This is a serious person.*
So what is Contisx trying to do? From what we know so far — it is designed to cover equities, bonds, ETFs, derivatives, and private markets.
The vision that caught my attention is this. Roughly ₦5 trillion is sitting outside Nigeria's banking system. Idle. Earning nothing.
Contisx wants to put that money to work.
They are also targeting diaspora investors, cooperatives, and state governments. Headquarters in Owerri. Regional centres coming in Aba, Kano, and Ibadan.
Now here is where I will be honest with you.
There are questions I don't have answers to yet 👇🏽
Will existing NGX companies be able to trade on Contisx?
What will listing requirements look like? How will they solve the liquidity problem — because even the NGX hasn't fully cracked this. Can retail investors like us trade from day one?
These are the questions that will determine if this changes anything.
*My personal take?*
Competition for the NGX is not a bad thing. It could push for better technology, lower costs, and more access for everyday investors.
But a new exchange lives or dies by liquidity.
And liquidity takes time to build.
This story is still developing(One i am very much interested in) and I will keep you updated as Contisx moves closer to launch.
Stay sharp, stay safe and invest wisely. Ndewo 👋🏽

Pa Emma, I like to join the group. emmanuelewumi: Discipline and consistency is the koko, it will always beat intelligence and technical skills in the stock market.
I belong to a WhatsApp group where ordinary people have built substantial wealth through NGX and no big deal in Mankind achievement.
It is achievable if we have the patience, discipline and consistency |

Email them and find out what's actually the issue which most likely is from you and your broker. Coronation Registrars is arguably the best in this eco system. Never had any issue with them, from MTN, McNichols, AIICO, Accesscorp and Dangcem. Even with demat. My take though. Valthegreat: This is not through, something is wrong with CORONATION REGISTRARS, I bought MTNNG since January last year and ARADEL last November and I yet to get any of the company's dividends till date. Every other registrars paid me dividends without going through E-mandate except Coronation, I have tried it on their platform it failed, I have also tried E-mandate via NIBSS and every other registrar accepted my submission only Coronation failed. I have finally sent my brokers transfer from to do the mandate by themselves as that's the only option left now. |

Noted Oga Nosa, will be looking forward to seeing the picks.... This your religious belief... 😂🤣😹 Actually I was pulling Agba, seems he has taken a break from his babes and now paying attention to his TA tools. nosa2: I dont know how to do technical analysis like that oh. I look strictly at the fundamentals of the companies.
In any case I have 2 companies that I strongly believe I will buy later this year. Unfortunately due to my religious beliefs I cannot mention their names before I buy. However I promise to market them like an idiot after I buy. So be rest assured you will hear about them. |

Prof, kindly illustrate with current market examples. ositadima1: Another thing before I go to sleep: the NGX is quite slow to react to news and fundamentals, both negative and positive. That is one big secret.
If a stock is going to make a strong move, the kind that “enters the bus and locks the doors”, it would have given signals long before. In my six years in the NGX, I have never seen a stock just zoom like that. It will first “shake its body” and call for passengers before moving. The problem is that when it is calling, most of us do nothing because of fear and uncertainty. By the time it starts moving, it’s already too late, or it has gone too far.
I bought Zenith between 17 and 20 on average, and I saw it hit its milestones one after another, each with clear warnings. I saw it get to 30, then 40, 60, 80, 100, etc. None of those moves were sudden, each level gave ample time for entry. That is the beauty of the NGX. |

Only God knows how many billions of units these guys warehoused!
