Travel / Re: For Nigerians In The Diaspora:what Do You Miss About Nigeria by jefekodo(m): 10:15pm On Nov 12, 2013
I miss not understanding what people are saying in a bus on phone because they're speaking yoruba/igbo.. which I can't understand.
I'm in UK, they speak english and I can understand every damn word of every passer by. Quite distracting.

Phones / Re: What Do People Say About Your TECNO Phone? by jefekodo(m): 4:22pm On Sep 28, 2013
There's nothing actually wrong with TECHNO phones. It's just who most use the phones that upsets people.
There's a direct correlation between TECNO and Okada riders. So even if TECHNO makes a Quadcore 5 inch screen device, the fact that somewhere in the family of Techno, there is a jagajaga model for MANY okada riders, will make any one feel bad with TECHNO.

We know that it is difficult to see and Okada man with Blackberry/HTC... Because, the phone will cost even more than the Okada in the first place. So it CANNOT happen. So we feel that Blackberry/HTC must be better.

My brother, see, Chinese people make all these phones. We don't make anything in Nigeria. We just make mouth. All of them are Android. All of them do the same thing. Buy the one you can afford.
Science/Technology / Re: Meet Shanice, The Holographic Receptionist At London Council Building by jefekodo(m): 8:54pm On Aug 23, 2013
People work hard and long shifts to design and make machines.
When they break down, people work hard and long shifts to repair the machines (think about repairing the circuit boards of your LCD HD TV)
Then you, work long and hard shifts to earn the money to buy the machine...
You work long and hard shifts on the remaining jobs that machines are not doing...(You'll have to work really hard and really long or else, your boss will get another machine to replace you (messengers, typists... all replaced by PC)

So we're all working really hard for the machines.

According to the movie The Matrix, we're somehow turning into Duracell Batteries!

Just my point.

One day, NEPA will take light. Then you will begin looking for the real receptionist and the Typists and the post men and the gatemen and the...

People are loosing jobs to machines. Today we have the highest unemployment rate worldwide because machines are doing our jobs.

Well, all that remains is for people to do like those folks in the movie WALL-E. Eat, grow fat, watch TV all day and do no physical work.
Science/Technology / Re: Nigerian Teenager Design Helicopter Prototype by jefekodo(m): 3:54pm On Aug 21, 2013
Baybe: Wow! That's nice.
That is right. We make noise about small things. Why call it a helicopter if it has not passed the certificate of helicopter(ing)? Of what good is a golden pen if it has no ink?

I will award the teenager, marks for fabrication of a "shape". But there's not marks awarded for the position of helicopter inventor until we see this shape in mid air. A video will suffice. Everybody has camera phones, a Youtube is free.
Jokes Etc / Hehehe. by jefekodo(m): 12:05am On Aug 19, 2013
A village man was pushing his new bicycle. There was a sack on the bicycle. He came to the border and the police stopped him to search.
"You must be a smuggler", said the police. "No o", replied the man. "Then I will search you", said the police.
He searched the village man and found nothing. He searched the sack, but it was only full of white sand.
He searched the sand but nothing special. Just sand.
"OK, pass." said the police. And he allowed the man go.
The next day the man came by again and the same routine was played. And once again the man passed.
After 3 months, the same thing had been happening Daily.
The police felt an urge to ask again. And he called the man aside. And whispered into his ear, "Mr man, I just feel you are up to something. You must be smuggling. But I cannot find out exactly. Tell me, man-to-man, what are you really smuggling"?

The man answered, "Bicycles"
