Hello everyone,
I am trying to log into the form A portal, but the OTP isn’t coming to the mail, what do I do?
I’ve tried to reach out to all the support system on the form A portal but no response at all. |

Okay, thank you Backcheck: Hello, it doesn’t matter if its not paid in the 72 hours. The only thing is the USD sent would now be converted to CAD at the current exchange rate, which may be different from what was earlier quoted |

Okay, thank you so much Boluwatifebaby: Hi Jenny, another Lancer here.
You have to use CIBC to generate an invoice and then pay with whichever method you want. This means you could pay with Form A, pay with your USD Card, pay with a domicilary account or even an international account but the CIBC invoice is a must.
Yes, the invoice is only "functional" for 72 working hours, it doesn't really matter. If you are to use Form A, it may take a bit of time but it wouldn't affect anything. It would be the sum stated on the invoice that would be paid. You would just be advised to add a little bit on top due to a possible difference in the rate of the day the payment is disbursed.
For me, the exchange rate of the day was lower than my initial invoice when my fee was disbursed.
Go ahead and generate and invoice regardless of the 72 working hours but don't forget to top it up with about 15-20 CAD just in case. Go with the invoice to Royal Bank of Canada to process it.
Goodluck. |

With the credit card option, it was high but I’ve confirmed the wire transfer and it’s okay. Thanks a lot. francisxbee: You can only make payment to uwindsor via cibc. You generate an invoice on their website which will include details you will us in applying for Form A. How is CIBC on the high side lol? You should be more concerned with your bank processing Form A on time. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Jenny255: 9:25am On Jun 15, 2022 |
Okay, thank you. francisxbee: Please ignore that 72hours deadline. Even if it takes 3 months for the money to arrive CIBC will still process it. Just add like 100$ on the amount you're paying incase rate changes. |

I tried this and CIBC said the invoice expires in 72hrs. Did you get this same notification? If yes, then how did you go about it? Because I’m fully aware that form A payment can’t be done in Nigeria within 3 days. Hafeez6948: There's a link on uwindsor website, the fee payment section that links you to cibc from there u can input the right information and a payment instruction will be generated

Jeff5gold: One thing in this Canada is that employers don’t joke with skills, when choosing a course of study that you have zero skills on, make sure the course has a co-op which is like an industrial training. When you get that skills , you can include on your Résumé/CV that work experience and also an institution in Nigeria that you have worked there for 2 years or more . Please can you explain the part about the Institution? |

Hello DamDam, In my opinion, let her send the money to you and you notarize the gift deed. Also write an LOE to explain the lump sum when it reflects on your account. Also add the receipt of transfer to the documents you’ll submit for your application. Finally write a really good convincing SOP why your mom is willing to support you and your immediate family. I hope this helps and Goodluck. PS: Ask the gurus on the platform as well, tag them so they can see your questions. DamDamDam1: Hi guys!!! This is the third time I will be asking for help, I just need the best counsel please na
My mum sold a property recently to sponsor me for my MBA, I have my offer letter, and I just made a term payment. I'm going with my husband and two children this September, I just want to know what best to do tp show proof of funds, do i get the money from her and do a notarized deed of gift or just use her account statement, explaining the lump sum and showing evidence of the property transactions.
Just want to put in my best shot as it is a family application |

phrecy: please i need a response 1) Yes it is very possible, you just have to give valid and convincing reasons in your SOP and you also have to prove strong home ties since you plan to leave with your immediate family. 2) Yes, this will definitely strengthen your application but read the school’s refund policy very well to be sure that you can get your money back if the visa doesn’t pull through. 3)Son - visitor’s visa and spouse - spousal open work permit (sowp) 4) Using cbn rate, it’s N1 = $334 CAD Use sites like oanda.com to check the rate if you are not paying with form A I suggest you await the input of others especially the gurus as this reflects my opinion alone. Goodluck on your application! |

larryrichie: @Jenny255 Thanks for you reply, Good afternoon to you and hope you are having a great day.. The bank is Eco bank, i was surprise to see the message also too Hi Larry, My advice is to initiate the Form A again, this time use a different branch of Ecobank but one that’s easily accessible to you just incase there’s need to visit the branch. Docs to upload: Int’l passport bio data page Invoice for school fees (if you are paying using a third party firm, then attach theirs as well) Degree certificate (preferably but you can use your statement of result in absence of this) Admission Letter (from the Canadian school) Instruction letter (authorizing your bank to debit you) I hope this helps |
