The programming language you should start with depends on you. Help me to answer this question; WHAT DO I WANT?
For Mobile:
Android --> Java or Kotlin (I prefer Kotlin for newbie)
IOS --> Swift

For Data Science:
Learn R or Python because of the large community support. (I prefer Python)

For Hardware or Embedded Systems:
Learn C or C++

For Hacking:
Learn Python

For Web Development:
Frontend --> HTML/CSS/Javascript
Server Side --> PHP or Ruby or Python or Node.js

For IDE/Text Editor:
Use whichever (IDE/Text Editor) you are comfortable with.

Finally, referring back to your statement “I don't have a laptop, but I have a smartphone. I don't know if this would help”, the developers of IDEs or Text editor do not target mobile platform as their primary source of income. So programming without a laptop or desktop would be a child’s play.

Hello Danny,
It’s not true. It is what you can do with python in the web arena that separates you from the crowd. I believe emphasis should not be on what sells or not, but what you can do with the tool you have. I see python web framework (Django + some sets of libraries) as hot knife through butter. I use PHP for most of my web projects but if automation and/or artificial intelligence is required, I switch to python to get the job done. So if you can design a sites like alibaba.com, nobody will ask whether the technology is Python or not but if the features work the way it should. If you still need further explanation, do hesitate to call me.

Please my brother, just say that you will teach student the basics of frontend and backend related programming. You require more than two months to be a good programmer, except the trainer is extremely good. To prove that student will be good, lets see your course outline for the duration.

Learn both if you want to be a professional graphics designer. I use Photoshop mainly because my jobs are centered around images and web related graphics. But if you intend to design things like logo, complementary cards, invoices etc, then go for CorelDraw. My simple rule of thumb is;

Photoshop -- Bitmap Based Graphics
CorelDraw -- Vector Based Graphics

Do not hesitate to call me if further clarification is needed.
