I love my country dearly , but man, as much as you might hate to admit it, that article is dead-on accurate. I doubt I've seen a more artful depiction of what a trip along MB3 is like. |
SAM MILLA - "Lekki is very safe" , what are you smoking? If you call regular daylight armed robberies safe, then maybe I'd agree with you. Chei , I visited there last year and I've never been afraid for my life like I was that week. |
Bought Transcorp with your school fees? Ahahahaha! OK, I apologize for that. Don't feel badly about yourself -- most of us who have investment experience have made a few horrible mistakes (I personally still loathe the day I decided to buy TMA at $15/share). I got out at $10, but still -- Yeah, the main thing is you've gotta know when to realize you're in a bad position, cut your losses and run. Get some real advice from a real professional, and then reevaluate your position. |
OMG , I almost died of laughter when I saw this thread. Spectacular fail. |
Actually, at the rate at which he is going, I'm hoping he goes for a second term. Because if he does, we will probably have the largest election turnout since 1992 and he will win in a landslide. Seriously -- who knew we could find leaders like this in Nigeria? The man revoked his own personal land allocation in Asokoro. Unprecedented stuff. |
Bahahahahahahahahahahaha -- threads like this illustrate why no matter what part of the earth you go to, there will always be an abundance of nutjobs. |
Also, about Tinubu , I won't say he's the worst, but man, they say "Eko o ni baje o , " Eko don baje for a long time. The security situation is totally out of control. I've never seen any place where you have such a thick population density and armed robbers can just come out in the broad daylight, at any time of the day, whenever they like and do whatever they want with absolutely zero fear of repercussions. About a month ago I witnessed one such armed robbery near ShopRite in Lekki. There was a mobile police unit deployed there, and they took to hiding as soon as the commotion started. Lagos is an embarrassment to our country. |
Agagu and Igbinedion should have this thing wrapped up. Man , something inside me just dies every time I think about the fact that Agagu is STILL in that government house. His day of reckoning will come. The people of Ondo State will force him out and he will answer for all his crimes. |
Some people too dey complain. Just to complain for the sake of complaining, even if there is absolutely nothing to complain about. Obsessive-compulsive complainants. It's like a mental disorder or something. |
For the last time, the man spent two years in jail, not two weeks. |
Yeah, this Jimoh guy sounds like a bitter loser. "I owe tons of money, I'm not a billionaire, so Dangote cannot be because I'm sure he also owes money like I do." Oh the powers of retarded logic. Some of you guys are funny. You really think Dangote somehow became as rich as he is without knowing the difference between assets and net worth? |
He had already spent two years in jail. The court ruled that he was to serve his six 2-year terms concurrently, so that's why he's out. This was done in order to foster a resolution of the Niger Delta crisis. Unfortunately our junior terrorists in the delta still consider the man as a hero, so keeping him in jail is not going to help as far as restoring peace and order to that region goes. |
Oprah's arrogance continues to know no bounds. First she spends $40 million to build a school in south africa and handpicks 152 girls to attend it (what the heck?), and now she opens her loud mouth to make a blanket condemnation of Nigerians. You know, there are wealthy people who actually know how to give without letting their basket mouths get in the way. How many times have we heard Bill Gates make announcements in the media about the contributions his multi-billion-dollar foundation is making to eradicate disease in Africa? Why can't this boring and tired old woman just shut the hell up? |
Ceaser-web is very interesting. I'm not a fan of the kludgy layout, but content-wise, very intriguing. First time I've seen this sort of map/satellite imagery service for Nigeria. |
I'm not a fan of sites that automatically start blaring music when you first visit them -- especially when they're not a musical artist's web site. |
They've sentenced Alamieyeseigha (sic?) to jail 12 years, and he has already been remanded. |
Wow, has this thread been derailed or what? Just read today that Gov. Peter Obi REFUSED to accept plots of land that were allocated to him by the Anambra State Housing Commission. Said it goes against his conscience. |
I think he's one of those "friends and families" guys who benefited from an ex-governor and suddenly realizes his financial assets are in jeopardy. |
Anyone know about this newly listed Airline Services and Logistics company? They don't seem to have a web site , perhaps the brokers and experts in our midst might know about their financials/performance and future outlook. |
Isn't Ecobank a Togolese corporation? |
Gochi: Hi there, new to this forum. I'm a relatively new investor, and I'm highly interested in actively trading in penny stocks. I discovered STACO a couple of weeks ago and asked my broker to try to purchase it but so far they have been unsuccessful. My broker is recommending I go for the Access Bank offer instead. Should I abandon it? I really feel like STACO could appreciate by up to 400% or more within the next year based on what I've seen in their reports, but it seems like I'm not going to be able to find a seller. |
