The plastering and screeding of this size of building will take about N5.8m in the average, the house is so huge. Duration of the work will be about 6 weeks if all the money is available at the same time.

wow.. thanks for the quote. If i should break the 5.8m down between plastering and screeding, i guess the plastering will take the greater part of the portion than screeding right?

2. 2x3x16 roofing wood (400) x 480 = N192,000
3. Bag of 4" nails (3) x 12,500 = N37,500
4. Bag of 3" nails (3) x 13,500 = N40,500
5. Transportation/loading = N28,000
6. Roofing carpentry N350,000
7. Roofing tiles (600 sqm) x 3,550 = N2,130,000
8. Roofing tiles accessories N300,000
9. Roofing tiles installation N90,000
10. Roofing tiles transportation N35,000
11. Miscellaneous N15,000

Please note that we have a few of these materials still remaining in the site, about 6 sqm of roofing tiles, etc.

We cannot even get the right type of sand here, coarse sharp sand is scarce too. I cannot make blocks here except I can stay and supervise them, but I have rock makers who produce good blocks, but sand scarcity is affecting everything.

The external dimensions of this house is about 17450 x 18000. It's always better to use 9" blocks for partitioning of a duplex. The piping will fit better into the walls without being noticed. Thanks.

We are still sourcing blocks and other materials in preparation for the continuation of this building project, continuing from the forming of the upper floor walls. Blocks has been scarce around here.

Great project! Can't they mold their own blocks? Or is it faster to buy since it takes time to solidify before being used?
