Thanks bro. Its actually a pain in our hrts, wen d medical doctors n even some older pharmacist are kickin against d program. In India, US, Canada, dis program is fully embraced. Don't know why we are finding it difficult here

The Pharm.D , is a 6yr program that lay more emphasis on the pharmacy practice components such as pharmaceutical care,
Hospital Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy, Pharmacotherapeutics, Clinical Pharmacy, Clinical Toxicology, Clinical Research,, Pharmacoeconomics, Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacotherapeutic Drug Monitoring. Though we still offer d same courses as d B. Pharm. The B. Pharm program is more of product oriented while the Pharm.D, program is both patient n product oriented with more emphasis on the patients .The end beneficiaries of the Pharm.D therefore are d patients. If properly incorporated, d incidence of adverse drug reactions, drug interactions, prescription errors will be reduced. The patients will also, have more information abt d drugs, patients at risk of adverse drug reactions are also monitored n properly counselled. They will also be involved in clinical ward rounds to ensure d patients are takin d proper drugs, dosage forms n d dosage of the drugs. The Pharm.D program will present more opportunities in d future. Let's embrace it.
