PoliticsGovernor Okowa's Aide Rejects Federal Appointment. Thanks Buhari, APC. by Jerrypolo(op): 6:10pm On Jan 09, 2018
Press Release!

CALL TO SERVE NIGERIA VERSUS MORALITY, GOOD CONSCIENCE AND LOYALTY. ...I STAY WITH GOV IFEANYI OKOWA, ESISO AND THE PDP. Exactly a year ago, I resigned my appointment as Director of Media and Political Communications to 2015 All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Delta State , Olorogun Otega Emerhor and in the same token left the APC. I left Olorogun Emerhor and APC in pains considering the acute internal squabbles that the leadership of the party ignored to handle and did not resolve the issues as required. The fellow that championed the problems said unprintable things including that I was paid to do my job as Emerhor's media consultant. The fellow also disclosed that my name was not included in the list of those recommended for political appointments sent to the Presidency. She took on me so tenacious that I had to give peace a chance by leaving the party and my former Principal, Olorogun Otega Emerhor. It was indeed a critical time in my political communications career. So soon thereafter, my leader and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ighoyota Amori and Principal Secretary to His Excellency, Honourable Hilary Ibegbulem ensured that I got repositioned and reintegrated into our great party, the PDP. Their efforts resulted in my return to the PDP and His Excellency the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa appointed me as his Executive Assistant on Communications. Thank you once again, Your Excellency. Ten (10) months after my appointment, the APC led federal government gave me a juicy appointment as Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria. It turned out that my political detractors in APC failed in their efforts to rubbish my huge work and efforts for the party and my former principal. FACT No 1: I did not leave my formal principal, Olorogun Otega Emerhor and the APC because of money and material wealth. I was actually frustrated out of the party by acute and vicious political detractors. The rest is now history. FACT No 2: I have made wide consultations concerning the federal appointment. We all agreed that it is a call to serve Nigeria but event has overtaken the appointment; because it is closely tied to Political affiliation and loyalty to party. The appointment fails on moral ground and has become repugnant to equity and good conscience. FACT No. 3: I paid a scheduled visit on Olorogun Otega Emerhor at his Evwreni country home on Sunday 7th January 2018, to apologise to him for my negative attitude towards him occasioned by the evil misinformation supplied by my political detractors that prompted media altercation and exit from the APC. I also visited APC party Chairman, Prophet Jones Erue at his Warri residence same day and apologised for my misguided wrongs. I also thanked the duo of Olorogun Emerhor and Erue for facilitating my federal appointment as a Board Chairman. FACT No 4: The federal appointment is juicy, it comes with sweet perks and some kind of luxury. However, it violates the rules of morality, political loyalty and above all it negates TRUST that I am rebuilding with my boss, His Excellency Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and our great party, the PDP. It is therefore unacceptable. FACT No. 5: I strongly believe that the opportunity will again show up in the near future to serve our country Nigeria through the PDP and His Excellency the Governor of Delta State. The future is bright. FACT No. 6: I am extremely grateful to God, Olorogun Emerhor, Prophet Jones Erue and APC DELTA party leaders who found me worthy and nominated me for federal appointment. It has shamed those political detractors that once said Olorogun Otega Emerhor used and dumped me. I am now both state and federal political material in Media Politics. Thank you JESUS. CONCLUSION: I respectfully, once again, thank the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari for appointing me as Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology, Zaria. However, I wish to inform Mr President that I am now a strong member of the PDP and Executive Aide to the Smart Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa. Therefore, this appointment came rather too late. I humbly decline the appointment and/or nomination on grounds of morality, good conscience and equity. I hope to serve Nigeria, in the near future. As for Olorogun Otega Emerhor, you have demonstrated that you are a good leader who cares for the advancement of his loyalists via this appointment and several others. I thank you Sir. I am also very grateful for the positive and negative roles played so far by friends, political associates and detractors in building THE LATIMORE BRAND. I stay with the Smart Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa. God bless Nigeria. God bless President Buhari. God bless Olorogun Emerhor. God bless Delta State. God bless my good boss, Gov. Okowa. OKOWA AGAIN 2019. PDP ...Power to the people. Signed: Dr. (Barrister) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, M.NIIA, F.CIDA Executive Assistant (Communications), To His Excellency the Governor of Delta State, Government House Asaba. Tuesday, 9th January, 2018.

you are not a Christian. "I am a Christian like you" like you that's what you are. If you allow all these to continue, remember you will give birth to children as well, they too will like to try something new, but because these acts weren't condemned they will see it as normal. That's why gayism and lasbinism is everywhere today. Because of so called tolerance. I don't tolerate sin I speak against it. "open rebuke is better than secrete love"
My brother, you have already said I am not a Christian but that is not the point. My point is you cannot "Fight" by talking and mostly condemning people. If you want things done right, you act right and allow the other person act as he wishes.

Talking about kids, my Bible says "Train up a child" not condemn other people to the hearing of your child.

How many Churches and Mosque do organize shows like this on a national stage and promote good values? Answer is Zero.

You cannot allow the devil to lead the narrative and expect a different result. Our religious bodies should meet the devil at his workshop and counter him at his business with Godly ones.

Nature they say abhors a vacuum. If you are not filling the space and leading the narrative, someone else would. Don't blame them.

Look in the mirror.

all the noise idiotic pigs of Biafra have be making is all about restructuring
Restructuring is not about disintegration but a move viable nation with working institutions driven by people who will be less corrupt cos most institutions would be handed down to the masses. That way there would be little to steal and the issue of corruption would be put to bed once and for all.

If Nigeria is a "Federation" like it is touted, we should practice it adequately. Let us be more like America. We (APC, PDP,APGA, PPA, North, South, Muslim, Christian etc) would benefit from it.

You have to understand this and clear your mind from thinking that restructuring is a call to disintegration or that its promoters are enemies of the state.

Thanks.

No my friend, I usually do not judge people based on what they choose to do with their bodies.

As a Christian, my Bible tells me that "My body is the temple of the Lord" not your temple. Allow God deal with whoever He feels is desecrating His temple.

People like me can never be Nigeria's problem. I mind my business and encourage others to do same.

The America your likes are dying to go to spend time in carrying out research to better humanity and do not even care if you decide to appear nude on the streets of New York.

Besides the show you guys are pontificating about is an 18+ rated one and on PayTV. If you have watched it once, you did out of your own accord. If you don't like it, you skip or lock that channel when the show begins.

That's how civilized people behave.

PoliticsOkorocha Restores Assumpta Avenue Name by Jerrypolo(op): 7:29am On Dec 30, 2017
By Chidi Nkwopara, OWERRI.
Imo State Government has bowed to the superior force of the Catholic Church and restored Assumpta Avenue street name.

The government action came barely a few hours after Vanguard hit the news stand with growing tension generated by what some respondents called “the unwholesome renaming of Assumpta Avenue”.

Confirming the restoration of the street name, the Commissioner for Information, Professor Nnamdi Obiaraeri, said that it was never government’s intention to rename the said strategic road, which he claimed spans from Assumpta Cathedral and terminates at Warehouse Roundabout.

“Assumpta Avenue is symbolic for both religious and historic reasons in Imo State, and these facts are not lost on the government and people of Imo State.

All inconveniences occasioned by the initial oversight or error of wrongly installing a Street sign, suggesting a renaming of the street is highly regretted”, Obiaraeri said.

In his own reaction, the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, His Grace, Dr. Anthony J. V. Obinna, said that there was no need to celebrate the restoration of the street name by Governor Rochas Okorocha.

“Catholics were already putting heads together to face the unwarranted and most uncharitable frontal attack on the Church, when he retraced his locus. His misdeed had already reached the ends of the earth before he did the needful”, Archbishop Obinna said.

Answering a question, the cleric wondered why Okorocha wants to destroy everything that predated his administration, including Assumpta Avenue.

In his own reaction, an Owerri based legal practitioner, Mr. Chikaodi Igbokwe, reasoned that “if a rabbit enters a hole with speed and jams a snake in that hole, it will reverse with a turbo speed”.

While saying that any leader who plays God will certainly commit deadly blunders, Mr. Igbokwe also opined that “this mistake exceeds the allegation of slapping a Revered Father”.

“After that rumour gained ground, nothing could save that government. As I said earlier, time will tell”, Igbokwe said.

Reacting also, a Catholic Knight, Sir McDonald Ebere said: ” Rochas
Okorocha has finally bowed to the power of Catholics. This is the beginning of the end and there shall be no end until the beginning ends”.

Meanwhile, Catholic laity have declared three days of fasting and prayers in Imo State.

According to an online directive, Catholics and their well wishers were asked to do this “for God to manifest His power in Imo State, and deliver His children from the evil leadership of Governor Rochas Okorocha”.

Catholics were asked to begin the fasting and prayer from December 29-31, starting from 6am-12noon, while recitation of the Rosary starts 12noon.

“Strict adherence to this call will go a long way to salvage Imo State.

Our Lady will surely crush the ugly serpent that is raising its head in Imo State now. Catholics stand up to your faith and win this spiritual battle. God is with us. We shall live to see the end of this evil. The heavenly beings are greater than all the principalities here on earth. We will surely overcome”, the directive added.

Foreign AffairsWhat If The USA Had Decided To Openly Support Biafra In The Nigerian Civil War? by Jerrypolo(op): 7:52pm On Dec 29, 2017
First of all, France did not support Biafra militarily. The support was humanitarian and had little impact on the direction of the war. And it wasn’t just the Soviet Union who supported Nigeria, the British too were with Nigeria. And the sympathy of NATO members is emotional at most and has no bearing to their national security or welfare.

If the US had supported Biafra it wouldn’t have been militarily. It would have been more diplomatic, in that they would pressure Nigeria to tone down the war and pursue a quicker resolution with the Biafrans? It wouldn’t be military support because,

1, It will conflict with their British allies who are openly in support of Nigeria. Why annoy the Brits for a black region?

2, There is nothing to gain from independent Biafra that they cannot get from Gowon’s Nigeria. And dealing with Gowon, a man of limited education would have suited them more than dealing with Ojukwu a graduate of Oxford.

3, They were already neck-deep in Vietnam. Adding Biafra into the interventionist map was not something they wanted, nor can afford. Leaving Vietnam was the priority.

4, Communism was the number one enemy in the American foreign policy. If Nigeria was a communist state and the war was ideological then America would have been more interested.

5, Economically, the US wouldn't want to lose in the war. US private arms dealers were selling ammunition to Nigeria, why should the US interfere with the trade? The Biafrans could buy if they had the money, perhaps, but there is no need changing the platform from a marketplace to an aids-place.

6, Ideologically, it will contradict American history having fought and kept their country together the century before.

That said, assuming, for the sake of assumption, the US supported Biafra militarily, will it have affected the outcome of the war? Of course. That wouldn't necessarily mean victory for Biafra. These are what could happen (in present tense):

1, The US must convince the UK to back out of Nigeria. They won’t want to come against their biggest ally at the West African battlefield. The British will not take this lightly and two things will happen:

a) The British will insist and make US abandon the idea.

b) America will buy the UK over and it will cost a ton of political currency.

2, With England out of Nigeria, the US will put intense pressure, privately, on Nigeria to let Biafra go.

3, If Nigeria refuses and it will take a lot of balls for them to, the US will go public, condemning Nigerian genocide in Biafra and begin to make noise about war crimes. Next, they will recognise Biafra and urge the world to do so.

4, With the recognition of America the secessionists will have a big morale boost as many more countries like Israel, Australia, Canada, West Germany etc will recognise Biafra.

5, The Soviet Union will feel slighted and urge Nigerians on, they will intensify bombing in Biafraland.

6, The US will enter the war fully.

i, The US will get Cameroon open their border and America will ship in food and medication and ammunition.

ii, They will bomb Federal positions in Enugu, Onitsha, Port Harcout, Calabar and Owerri.

iii, They will bomb Lagos, Ibadan, Kano, Kaduna etc and let the Nigerian populace feel the heat.

iv, Biafrans will most likely recapture Port Harcourt, Onitsha etc, yes, with US fighter-jets harassing the troops it will be easy.

7, The battle will be deadlocked as the USSR won’t give up.

8, The matter will go to the UN. Remember the issue was never mentioned in the UN floor because the UK kept blocking it. But with Biafrans and Nigerians exchanging fire for fire and swapping trucks of corpses, the world will be forced to act and call for political resolution.

9, Nigeria will eventually let Biafra go. Discontent will lead to a coup in Nigeria, and new head of State Murtala Mohammed who was disgraced out of the Onitsha Sector of the war will bring an end to the war, blaming Gowon for it.

10, The US will eventually back out at a change of governance. I am assuming that Badass Lyndon B. Johnson brought US into Biafra let’s say in mid-1968. With Nixon in power in January 1969, he could say ‘what the hell are we doing in Africa?’ and pull the support. Then Nigeria will regain the upper hand pre-US involvement. Or like Vietnam, ol’ Nixon will escalate the war, not wanting the red devils beat the US for whatever, on anything.

(It will be hard to see which one happens first, number 9 or 10, and it depends on how far the US and their communist rivals are ready to play).

11, Or, the two African countries will get tired and end hostilities and resolve to cold war like North-South Korea. Some white dude will get Nobel Peace Prize for it. There will be a US base in Biafra and heavy Russian tanks in Nigeria.

12, Reconstruction will be stronger in Biafra as the US will want to justify their involvement by building a strong economic state. Tension will remain till the end of the cold war. Fancy Reagan escalating tension in the gulf of Biafra. He may visit Enugu, Biafra and say, ‘General TY Danjuma (Nigerian new head of state) if you want peace, if you want growth, if you want prosperity tear down the bridge of the evil empire of Communist Russia.’

All these are hypotheses, of course. I strongly doubt the US would have ever entered the war. And none of these eventualities above is granted. The US might successful negotiate an end without firing a shot. Or out-muscle Russia or the USSR will bully them out. Who knows?

Nobody.
