Gameguy900: Good Morning. I need your help on this one. Is it possible to change from Pharmacy to Medicine in 200level at Unilag. Pls i need your take. Have a lovely day. Honestly if I were you, I'd continue with my pharmacy and graduate then come back if I really have the passion. Pharmacy is a very nice course and you can be using your license to make money while you pursue your medicine dream. It's a win win for you, if you really wish to transfer now though, I believe there are Unilag students here who can be of help. Graciás |

Health › Is It Normal To Be Sweating Excessively? by Jerrypolo(op): 10:50am On Apr 18, 2020 |
Hello guys, doctors and medical professionals here.
I don't know if it's natural but I sweat excessively. Just walking a short distance can make me sweat a lot even when there's no sun. I've observed it severally that if I and my friends are walking, I'm the only one that sweats too much. It's making me look darker that I am. I can't go out without taking my handkerchief along and it's some times embarrassing... Is it really normal??.... I'm tired. |

Stephneche: Am talking about uj cos they use O'level but some said 254 is poor even though the jamb cutoff for mbbs is 240 and average is 72% while I got 73.1% but due to my 254 they said it's poor You cannot get medicine with 254 in UJ. Do not let anyone deceive you. Change to a state school. Preferably AAU. |

LamaNewton: please o if i switch from unical to uniben, will it hinder my chances of getting admitted into medicine? Medicine is medicine everywhere oga. Unical is even a federal university, I wonder why you want to change to Uniben. Your chances in Unical with 349 jamb score is like 90% compared to Uniben that I cannot even assure 50%. Let me tell you, I had over 327 in 2018 and applied for Uniben. I was disappointed and thrown to another department and here I am writing another jamb. Luckily for me, I was still able to get 315 and I'll try not to make silly mistakes this time around. Just be wise sha, if you play with this 349 that you claimed you got, trust me you may never get it again. NOR BE SWEAR. Uniben post utme is not something you can boast of scoring high. #PEACE |

Stephaustin: If you're planning of changing school, I suggest University of Uyo.
No post UTME and the highest cut of mark we've seen so far is 305 which was last two years. This was because of high rate of pass among students that year and it was also the same year the lowest number of students (48) were admitted against the usual 80+.
Secondly, that has been the only the merit cut off mark got up to 300; normally, it's always between 280 and 300.
Moreover, I am currently a medical student there. So if you need more information, feel free to ask. Wow, Please sir, can we chat in private. I'll appreciate that. |

Hello medics here. My name is Aaron and this is my brother's account. I just checked my utme result and I got 315, quite fortunately. My institution of choice is OAU but my friends are advising I change, truth is I'm scared likewise. I don't want to take any risk anymore. I believe there are experienced people here that can guide my path so I don't make silly mistakes. Pls guys, I need suggestions. I need a school that can guarantee me admission into the medical school, preferably one that doesn't do post UTME. My waec is kind of sound too. 1A, 1B2, 1B3 and a C5 in physics. Please guys, help me, I'm confused. Someone suggested University of Uyo for me but I don't know if this my score will do the trick.
Thanks to you all in anticipation. |

ShahRukhKhan: Aheem, I'm not in the business of hyping university or debating why one is better than the other, so I'll just be point blank here. 1. Sokoto is north west, if I'm not too outdated unrest only is in northeast and that is kinda reducing, even UniMaiduguri that is In borno is calm. Sokoto is very peaceful and students of Udus are fond of saying it's the most peaceful uni in Nigeria. 2. 320 in utme will sail you in peacefully, this year udus cut off is 280 but apply first, that's when you'll know that 280 is audio cut off and top scorers from each state are those admitted. The only relaxation here is to Matrix students and indegenes. So with a score like 320, you can be rest assured to some extent. I've heard of people with 310, 305, etc that did not get admitted because there are people with higher scores from their state... More like the recent ABU brouhaha. 3. Criteria? Just Utme and Olevel. All admissions comes from the list school sent to jamb. But I heard they consider Local govt, male to female ratio, scores and states (merit, catchment, eld). After being admitted, there is a physical screening at the beginning of the session 4. There is no where Christian can't school in Nigeria. Sokoto may be an Islamic state but udus is a secular university, I know Christians in her mbbs programme and I don't think they do get sidelined. No one will persecute you for practicing your religion and there are Christians in sokoto. 5. I don't know how far Abuja is to Sokoto but it is not as far as coming from Lagos. Both Sokoto and Abuja are in the north. 6. Last session was 54,800 + 8000 for acceptance. It gets lower as you progresses. I pray they don't increase it. 7. All medical school are not simple to cross. Provided an institution is accredited, you can assume medical education should follow similar pattern. So if you're looking for an easy medical school then maybe not in Nigeria. There is no relative measurement for how easy or difficult med school are. They are all tasking. But udus is fast to a point. Thanks a lot boss. Your response is totally on point. |

ShahRukhKhan: 6 years. Thanks a lot boss. I'd love to ask some questions. Please I need help. 1. How peaceful is Sokoto, considering the unrest in the north. 2. What should I be aiming to be on merit since there's no post utme. I'm from Delta state. 3. What are the criteria for screening candidates?? 4. As a Christian, do you think Sokoto is somewhere I can school?? 5. Do u know the distance from Sokoto to Abuja. I base in Abuja. 6. The school fees for medical students. 7. lastly, how tasking is the med school over there?? I'll appreciate your timely response. |

ShahRukhKhan: Udus mbbs is quite solid and running well. School fees + acceptance is less than seventy thousand for 1st year and lower for other levels. Hostel is cheap too but there are expensive ones. Admission for Deltans is usually Max of 3/4 of the highest scorers amongst the aspirants from that state. It's a fed. Uni and other states must be considered too. Just aim to be amongst the top 2 aspirants from your state and you're good to go. Also 320+ in utme should sail you in smoothly. There is no post utme as at now My best wishes are yours. pls how many years is med school in UDUS |

It's very nice and easy to comprehend. I use the Essential series for all my subjects. Bio, chem and physics. Just that I really do not use it for physics that much because I prefer New school physics to it. I read Essential and New school. A combination of both for all subjects will do just great. To me tho |

OloladeWrites: Udusok do not conduct post utme but don't be surprised if they start from next year. Right now what you heard about them not conducting is very true. Udus admission modality are numerous and not too straight. Many things are considered by the sch admission officers before offering one a slot. (Utme score, state of origin, gender, local govt, subject combo, olevels, being matric student etc) To non catchment states just 1 or 2 or 3 students are admitted and they have to be the Highest from that state. So just aim to be the highest from your state that applied there. But 320+ should cut you off every competition. The highest I know who applied Udus this year had 320 and he's been admitted since before people like me got considered self. For some catchment and ELD states like Kwara, Niger, Kogi etc even 300 in utme doesn't guarantee admission into Udus. From MDCN, Udus enjoy a total of 100 as quota but the UG1 that just finished are 170+ (fresh and repeater) and those that just got admitted / considered seems to be moving towards that number. Also NUC just approved Dentistry for Udus, some of my fellow aspirants with very high scores got moved to BDS. Sokoto is quite safe and Udus MBBS is also very smooth. Uduth also have a standing reputation. All in all, Grace, Good Preparation and Choice matters. You're blessed bro. Thanks a billion |

*Phone rings* I checked to look who was calling. It was Jason, my secondary school classmate then. Immediately I saw it, my heart skipped a beat. You may be wondering why. Well, I told Jason to call me whenever our JAMB result has been released. We haven't spoken for quite some days now and I knew it was because of the result he was calling me. Hello, Jason. What's the way na?. I asked, putting a fake smile. Ehn, Jason said from the other side, our results have just been released oo. I'll soon bathe and go to the café to check mine. Please make sure you check yours soon. I know say you be scholar, you go finish jamb. Okay, thank you but "I nor be scholar". We'll talk later, I responded while ending the call. Was I really a scholar?. Of course I was but I never agreed. Well, story for another day. Though I was happy the results were out but I didn't want it our so soon. It was a cool Saturday afternoon. It just stopped raining. My heart was beating like I had ran a marathon race. Ah!!. For ordinary jamb result?. Jerry, common behave yourself, I said while hitting my head with my hand.. Momsy was lying on the couch the sitting room. "Mummy, our results have been released oo". I want to go and check. When?. She asked trying to sit properly on the couch. Today oo, Jason just called me now. Okay, go to my room, check my purse and collect five hundred naira from it. It should be enough. Go and check.
