The tax is something that is calculated at the source so I believe the net pay will always increase as one progresses in the civil service.

I collected my payslip last in January and the tax was 6.7% of the gross salary and my net pay has not reduced since then.

I believe if you can find compare his tax with people in his agency/MDA and cadre, you will be able to clear your doubts.

Paye tax increases as one progresses in the civil service or private sector. The higher the income, the higher the tax, the pension, the NHF, allowances, DTA etc.

Imagine she has children that are looking for jobs, her sister or brother's kids need jobs, her pastor's kids, her best friend's kids etc. She will naturally feel the need to help this people you except there is a divine intervention to move you up her list.

You will get something better very soon. That is the pressure most Senators, DGs, governors and those people face regularly.

Please don't perceive them to be wicked and just see it as a way to continue praying for favor from God.

Once one knows the ministry, agency or parastatal, there is a unified salary scale prepared by NSIWC to make the salaries uniform for every civil servant working in similar ministry, agency or parastatal.

If it's a research allied parastatal, check for conraiss table, there is conhess, conmess etc n all these show the salaries of civil servants on different cadres excluding allowances.
