Politics › Re: 7 Buhari Ministers That Are Doing Absolutely Nothing by Jethrolite(m): 12:03pm On Mar 05, 2016
kITATITA:
OP I don't think you understand governance. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs as well and that of Finance are fully involved in negotiating all the bilateral agreements that the President has signed. Don't think that the President hops into the plane and gets few minutes to negotiate such agreements. Ministers are for policy direction; it's not about noise. Buhari's image at the International fora is at its peak. The abuse from local online media is because it's the first time an incumbent lost an election and supporters of the past administration are still finding the pill bitter to swallow

huh
That is a lie. A bank is a legal entity, it can sue and be sued.

I'm not even looking at this as a 'money making venture' I am just tired of the exploitation by Nigerian banks...thing like things won't happen in UK, American or as my brother is fond of saying, 'even in Bangladesh' cheesy

Hoping the mods would move this to the front page and we'll get enough traffic to get things moving. If it comes to the issue of legal fees, even if there is no bro Bono offers, GTBANK can be made to pay our legal fees, if nothing else.

If this were any other country but our beloved Nigeria, even if the charges are going to be reviewed, the bank would notify affected customers and even plead with you and then offer you some sort of compensation or reward program and if you do refuse, case closed. They'll bear the losses.
Please believe me, even frontpage won't get much done. I have been through all of this before. It will only result in more frustration but if you say it's not about money and you have money to blow then sue Gtbank hq. Before suing, write a letter seeking redress, it will cost between N20-100k to have a lawyer do that for you depending on the lawyer. If the bank does not respond, another letter is sent. If no response then you ask your lawyer to file a suit. All these things I just mentioned will set you back at least N50k.

The ECO may not overlook the fact that you stayed 4months instead of 6weeks you indicated on your application form, so maybe they spot it you need to explain why you stayed that long.

Online class action, you think this is America? Whichever way there is very little you guys can do without losing more money. You can actually sue and while the court case lasts, I can assure you all you will spend more on legal charges. How about creating negative publicity? You will also find yourselves spending more money.

Just go and cancel all orders made.

let me start by appreciating those Nlanders who have taking this part before now and did not hesitate to share their experiences, I must say that those were a great deal of encouragement to Us in general and Mua in particular

I remember someone asking in a particular thread "which was more preferable between buying and building a house?" of which I posited that building gives alot of challenges and stories to tell but at the end, life itself is all about you telling your own stories (like building a house) as against buying story books (more like buying a house)

lastly, I thought of building in Lagos but then I remembered "aku ruo ulo" and decided to build in my villa.

Happy view!
Congratulations sir, do not forget us when you are about painting. We will produce high quality Jethrolite paint for you at affordable rates.

You guys keep looking for ways to fault this man.
Do not support what is wrong, if he can not live by it then he should not preach it. Imagine your superior in the office asking you to always be at your desk while he is never around. There are too many high quality printing houses in Nigeria for him to print in the USA. Should a man like him become president, he will force the common man to use made in Nigeria while he enjoys imported luxury.
Career › Re: How I Was Assaulted By My Lebanese Boss Yesterday Morning by Jethrolite(m): 8:16am On Feb 24, 2016
Charlieubochi:
I work for a construction company in Port Harcourt owned by 2 Lebanese brothers. I work as one of the two Administrative staff. I was employed two years ago and the very first thing I noticed about the place was the care - free manner the Lebanese people smoke. They smoke all kinds of things openly in the office not minding the health implications on other staff. I also noticed the total lack of respect that those people have for us Nigerians. They told me stories of how they insult people, throw all kinds of objects at them and I even heard they physically fight them. I always thought it was funny and I never ever thought that I'll be a victim of such horrible, barbaric and slave-master attitude from these people. I am a BSc degree holder in accounting and I am being paid #30,000 plus I have to work on Saturdays too.
On Friday last week I requested for permission. I informed the workshop manager that my friend would be wedding the following day(Saturday). He said I should go directly to the MD of the company a dental request for permission myself. I said no, that nobody goes directly to him knowing his very bad attitude and lack of respect for everyone and besides he's the MD and shouldn't be bothered by such trivial issues. So I proceeded to go to the wedding on that Saturday thinking my request had been granted or at the most I would be marked absent on that day. I returned to work on Monday and I was stopped at the gate. The security people said the MD told them not to let me in. When I asked why, they said it was because I didn't come to work on Saturday. I was so shocked. In any case I begged and pleaded but I was advised to go home and come back the following day (yesterday) and beg him to let me continue working. I went to the office early and waited for him to come and then I started begging him. The moment he saw me he started insulting me. He said I was useless and ungrateful. I kept on begging. He came close to me and gave me a hot slap on my left cheek. I never in my widest dream expected to be slapped by any person whether boss or not. I was so furious that it took God's grace not to beat him up. I knew if I beat him up I won't have a good case against him. So I insulted him and stormed out of the office. I reported the case at the police station. They invited him to make his statement and my dad (who doubles as my Lawyer) is handling the issue. I am going to make sure he will never forget this experience. He would pay heavily for this and other crimes he has committed against innocent Nigerians. He was so shocked and I could see some fear in his eyes at the police station. He never expected anyone much less the very quiet boy who sits in a corner of his big company to drag him to police station and to sue him to court.
The Lebanese, Indians and Chinese are fond of maltreating we Nigerians. Even his Lawyer confessed that they see us as slaves in our own country which is a very terrible situation. Many Nigerians are afraid of standing up for their rights when these people treat them badly. I'm writing this long message to encourage people to always stand up for their rights and never let anyone or situation intimidate them. I would love to hear from anyone that has gone through similar situations before.
Because you have a lawyer daddy, others should stand up for their right. You should have tried using a lawyer you have no relationship with so you experience what the average Nigerian would experience.

lwisee:
As I'm writing this I'm sweating profusely,I've been practically angry at everyone since I came back from work.
For the past six years, I've not experienced terrible power failure like this. Our transformer picks supply from a 33kv line, which make us have at least 15 hours supply of electricity everyday, except if there is a major fault.
Then,N500 petrol can remain in my generator for 3 months,I hardly switch it on because I also have inverter.
I came back from work,I was told we only have 15 minutes power supply since morning.
Nowhere to buy petrol, I have tried and tried, the heat is damn too much.
I decide to sit outside and it seems some force command the air not to blow.

Price of food stuff has increased sharply, what kind of Country is this. Why is the word Buhari synonymous with suffering.
I just remembered that our president did not handle any personal successful business since he left office as a head of state.
Look at his cattle farm, the cows be like something wey get AIDS.

Frankly speaking, some people are like that, they are failure personified.
I pray it won't be the case this time around because it involves all of us.

I don't even know what to type again.I just tire
We are on the same page, I risked my life supporting PMB to office but look where we are today and the government is so unconcerned. Lai Mohammed has run out of lies.

Please take it easy though, there is something called heat stroke and it is very real. You just need to do something to chill. If you die, the government would not even realise their ineptitude was responsible.
