Leagoo have been one of the fore front runners in the Chinese OEMs of recent, with us see budget friendly device from them like the Leagoo Kiicaa Power and of course the Leagoo M9 which did fairly well in the market. Well the Leagoo S9 is the latest device from the Chinese manufacturer Leagoo with us seeing a notch on these device with less bezels around it double sides like it is in the Samsung Galaxy S9. With out much ado lets get straight into it.

Design
The Leagoo S9 is built like the iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S9 in view with the smartphone having a notched display and a protruding camera module at the top left corner of the rear panel, two features affiliated to the IPhone X. The Leagoo S9 boost of a bezel-less display on both sides with little bezels at the top and bottom part of the smartphone. Overall build quality is made from a mix of plastic and metal finishing, the smartphone boost of a premium finish and aesthetics.



Display
The Leagoo S9 features an HD+ 5.85 inch 18:9 screen aspect ratio in the display panel. With a display that has 1512 X 720 pixels and a decent viewing angle both indoors and outdoors. The display does fairly well for a budget smartphone to bring in that crisp in-depth feel with colors.

Camera
The Leagoo S9 comes with a dual rear camera at the back and a single selfie shooter up front. There is a 13MP primary camera assisted by a 2MP camera on the rear side for more depth and bokeh shots. On the front, the smartphone provides you with an 8MP selfie shooter with a soft flash.

Hardware and SoC
At the core of things, the Leagoo S9 has a fairly powerful MediaTek SoC in place making sure everything goes well. This includes an Octa-core MediaTek MT6750T processor with a maximum clock speed of 1.5Ghz with an ARM Mail-T860 MP2 GPU for sorting graphics out for gaming.

The Leagoo S9 comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB storage space built-in alongside a memory card slot for expansion up to 128GB. On the other hand, it also does well in the software area running the latest Android 8.1 Oreo straight out of the box.

Untrue, redmi note 4 does not have the official Oreo update by Xiaomi. Maybe you are using custom ROM.

there is an official maybe u ve not gotten an OT A update yet as per naija

Only their flagships got the Oreo OTA update, no guarantee at all that any of their midrangers on nougat would get Oreo except the redmi note 5.

You are wrong!!!!!!!! The xiaomi midrangers don't have Oreo OTA update. I think you are mixing up MIUI updates with Android OS updates, what Xiaomi care about is MIUI updates and not so much about android OS updates.

MIUI is based on Android so wah re u now saying na haven't you seen the oreo updates if not will be happy to provide for u a link to them all n its official

If u think Samsung is faster then that means xiaomi ain't fast. Galaxy s8 just saw android 8.0 by February 2018 (remember Google released Oreo in August 2017]. In fact some career models in the USA didn't get through update until April 2018. And I'm not sure they will see 8.1, and wljkd take a long time for s8 and s8 plus to see android 9.0 if they ever will. Many career galaxy s7 and s7 edge have not seen Oreo, the international versions didn't see until march upwards.

most Xiaomi got oreo updates by November 2017 thats thier flagships then other mid range got dia's late december then generally by February 2018 so its still fast

Google have released Android P beta and its a very big update. In fact I think its the biggest update since Android 5.0 Lollipop. Android P comes with a complete UI overhaul.

But is it just me or is Google trying to make Android look more like IOS? Its like Google have been 'taking' IOS features and putting them into Android. First they removed SD card support from their Pixel phones, then took away the headphone jack, added support for the notch on Android P and now iPhone X gesture control and the recent apps menu is now horizontal instead of vertical... just like the iPhone.

Some new features of Androip P are

1. Gesture control: Google have included a new way of navigation. The navigation button have been yanked and we now have a white home navigation bar just like the iPhone X. Swiping up takes u to recent app so there's no longer a recent app navigation button. And the recent apps are now arranged horizontally just like the iPhone. Swiping up right to the top takes u to app drawer.

2. Adaptive battery: it uses AI to improve battery life

3. Better screenshot annotation: Now u can take screenshot and edit it immediately before saving or sharing.. again borrowed from the iPhone. Though a lot of OEM's like Samsung and LG had this smart screenshot feature in their phones but it was not an android native feature until Android P.

4. Lockdown: Google have included a feature that allow users to temporarily disable fingerprint feature.. which means when lockdown is activated, only password can be used to unlock the phone. This comes in handy when someone is trying to forcefully use ur fingerprint to unlock ur phone or those that their partners use their fingers to unlock their phones while sleeping.
