Phones › Htc U12 Plus Specifications And Price Debuts Quad Camera 2nd In Dx0mark by jetz(op): 12:09pm On May 25, 2018 |
Source link>>> https://ngeeek.com/2018/05/25/htc-u12-plus-specifications-price-in-usa-uk-india-and-nigeria/Htc U12 Plus has finally been released by the Tech company HTC after months of speculations and leaks by the online mobile community as their flagship device for 2018. The Htc U12 Plus doesnt fall short of surprises as it rocks a quad camera setup, with us seeing tow up front and two behind with the display having no notch which is sigh like a relief to those who dont like smartphone with notches considering the One Plus 6 comes with a notch. Lets dive straight into it. DESIGN The HTC U12 Plus has an aluminium alloy overall uni-body finishing and covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 5 as well. With its IP68 certifications, you can literally go swimming with the device and take selfies underwater cool isnt it. The dual shooters now sit in a vertical position at the top middle which is cool because it doesn’t copy the iPhone X trend. The dual tone flash comes underneath before the fingerprint scanner, it has Pressure-sensitive buttons as well for Edge Sense squeeze gesture like its predecessor which is somewhat cool. DISPLAY Finally we see a flagship device without the trending notched screen, as the HTC U12 Plus comes with no notch what so ever. The U12 Plus screen dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio, offering the standard bezel-less display with super minimal top and bottom bezel giving that premium display feel. The 6-inch QHD Super LCD6 capacitive touchscreen boasts of 1440 x 2880 pixels in resolution. It offers immersive visuals with a pixel per inch density of 539, there’s DCI-P3 & HDR10 compliant and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The screen stretches all the way to 80.3% of the entire front, the display is just mad when you at it critically one of the best that HTC can offer in 2018. HARDWARE AND SoC This smartphone has packed some serious hardware, the HTC U12 Plus features the Snapdragon 845 chip from Qualcomm. It is an octa-core processor that runs at a blazing speed of 2.8GHz and operates on the 10nm process technology i don’t think this device will experience what we call lagging. In terms of graphics, the Adreno 630 graphics processor is in charge for awesome graphics experience for gamer’s i see PUBG fans smiling to this. For multitasking, there’s 6GB of RAM which is big enough to handle all your heavy multitasking. While for storage, there’s one with 128GB and another with 64GB. Both are upgradeable up to 400GB using a memory card. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo straight out of the box and will definitely get Android P update, HTC’s Sense UI is on top. CAMERA The first 12MP shooter has an f/1.8 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size and Dual Pixel PDAF, while the 16MP telephoto camera beside it has f/2.6 aperture and 1.0µm pixel size. Both cameras will work together to deliver some of the best photographs on mobile. The cameras has phase detection & laser autofocus, OIS, gyro-EIS, 2x optical zoom, dual-LED dual-tone flash and shoots simultaneous 4K video and 8MP image recording. There’s touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR (photo/panorama) as well. Shoot videos of 2160p@60fps and 1080p@30/60/240fps with HDR and 24-bit/96kHz stereo sound rec. For selfies, the 8MP + 8MP dual camera has f/2.0 aperture, 1.12µm pixel size with 1080p, HDR videos and supports Face ID. PRICE AND AVAILABILITY HTC U12 Plus is available on shopping stores, starting from $799 to $899 in the USA and UK, that’s about N270,000 to N310,000 in Nigeria, in India it goes for 54,240 Rs, in Ghana it goes for 3,708 Ghc and in Kenya 80,915 Ksh. Phones › Re: Things To Do Before Selling Your Phone by jetz(m): 9:07am On May 25, 2018 |
Revolva: Whether you are using an Android or iOS device, you may someday decide that you have enough of the phone and want to sell it to purchase a new one. There are actually quite a few steps you should take before you simply hand over your old phone to its new owner. these are some of the things.
Remove SIM/microSD cards
On some devices, contacts and call logs can be stored on your SIM or microSD cards, so it’s really important that you remove these before selling. Chances are, you won’t be willing to give up either of these when selling the device, so keeping them to yourself is a great way to ensure security.
Factory data reset
If you do not want anyone accessing some information or data on your phone, you can completely erase your data by performing factory data reset. The process only takes less than a minute.
Remove all accessories
When selling your device, it’s always important to remove the accessories and extras that originally came with it, unless you’ve clearly told the buyer you would include them. You make use of them if they are compatible with the new phone you are buying.
Backup your data Since you are not handing over your phone with all your data, you have to back them up so that you can recover and download on your new device. You can backup your pictures, videos, and documents on Google drive or iCloud.
Clean it This is a small step, but it is still important. Cleaning your device is a nice gesture; it makes the buyer feel like he’s getting his money’s worth. Wiping of the screen, removing any dust or build-up, and cleaning inside the ports is a great way to ensure your customer will be happy. and if the phone is on FRP you will just wahala yourself after resetting the device, first thing first is you should remove your Google account from account setrings before you proceed with anything, its do befpre u leap o |

BadBradley: Why Tecno, Infinix And itel Don't sell in Europe And US!
After my factual evaluation of transsion Holdings products, namely Tecno, Itel, and infix, http://lodega.com/community/phones-and-tablets/why-every-sensible-nigerian-should-avoid-tecno-infinix-and-itel-brands/ a lot of fan-boys blew their top with emotional reactions. Some deftly pointed out I was on a propaganda mission to kill off the brand, others claimed I was a Samsung fan boy even when I never extolled Samsung.
The truth is Tecno, infinix and Itel are getting better daily, the only problem is they are using poor, ignorant Africans as beta testers of their subpar phones and getting richer for it by selling lies, using bloggers to claim features their phones don't have or hardware it isn't equipped with.
So the ugly truth is that Africans are testing these phones without any international standard certificate or FCC or EC seal of conformity.
This is why Tecno, Infinix is avoiding regions of the world where strict conformity in regulation are observed, e.g US and EU. Because not one single Transsion Holdings brand could be found in these countries!
But Alas, true global Chinese brands like Xaomi, ZTE, Huawei, Gionee etc are all over US and Europe, because unlike Tecno they all got their international standard conformity approved and verified both by EU and US regulatory bodies.
Worthy of note is that HTC originating from a tiny country like Taiwan built the first android phone, the G1 and it's a global brand.
So the big question is why is Tecno and infinix hiding in Africa and India? Why isn't Tecno or infinix carrying EC and FCC seals?
Notably, one overzealous fanboy went about to claim infinix, one of Transsion Holdings brands uses Corning Gorrila glass on its phone when a listing of brands using Corning doesn't show any Transsion Holdings brand using its product or technology. Yet it is claimed that Infinix Zero 5 uses Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Yes we found other Chinese brands like Huawei, Xaomi, ZTE, Gionee etc. But no Tecno or Itel or Infinix. To see list of devices using Corning Gorrila glass see https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_devices_with_Gorilla_Glass
Also a list of OEMs and mobile manufacturers using Qualcomm chipset did not appear to list Transsion Holdings as using its chipsets. Yet Tecno claims an Infinix model uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 400 series. It's a barefaced lie!
For list of companies using Snapdragon 400 series see here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Qualcomm_Snapdragon_systems-on-chip
We cannot afford to take the claims of Transsion Holdings at face value when no reputable, globally acknowledged critic/journalist have listed or reviewed this devices for what they truly are. For what we know, Transsion Holdings is exploiting poor regions of the world with lies and false claims.

greenhulk: They are not even mates. Honor 9 lite is clearly the better phone. Better display (FHD+ vs HD+), better build (glass with aluminium frame vs plastic), better processor (hsilicon Kirin 659 is on par with snapdragon 626. Infinix use snapdragon 425 which is a low performer). Honor 9 lite comes with 3or 4gb ram, I'm pretty sure most of the hit 5 sold in Nigeria come with 2gb ram unless cares about only battery life I see no reason why anyone would choose hot 6 over honor 9 lite. naso ma broda dunno y some1 wud be torn inbtw Keke(hot 6 pro) and Porsche(Honor 9 lite) em no be mate o |

BadBradley: Transsion Holdings, Perhaps being the only GSM mobile manufacturing company that operates in 3 different brands, Tecno, Itel and infinix in the world, apparently in a bid to have the proverbial nine lives and seemingly seeking to take advantage of the underdevelop world, this company has launched an aggressive market campaign across Africa and other poor region of the world where consumers and experts don't have the expertise to critically appraise its products' features and claims.
It's surprising how the Chinese company failed to make its presence in China its home country with a huge market of over 1.2 billion people but came to Africa whose entire population doesn't quite measure up to China and whose political and economic stability is less predictable than China's.
A company that rarely, if ever, uses the chipset of world leaders like Qualcomm or Exynos on its phones or, the screen protective layer from global standards setter, Corning, or the class leading mobile screen technology like Amoled or LCD 3, it is no wonder no reputable mobile phone website ever lists Tecno, Infinix or Itel amongst items for review.
Worse still this is a brand that can't handle large storage Micro SD card of 64 to 126gb without dragging its fluidity down or shutting down the phone. This is a company that doesn't have its own ecosystem or backup services or cloud storage like other Android manufacturers like LG, Samsung, HTC, Sony, etc
The listed pixel count at the back of camera doesn't reflect the quality expected and non-Adroid models have the exact same UX and UI of clone, fake phones that immitated Nokia Series 30 and 60 phones back in 2005 and 2006 across Africa.
To cap it all up, Tecno which has more customers in Nigeria than the entire population of Ethiopia has chosen to set up a manufacturing plant in Ethiopia while targeting the market here in Nigeria.
So Nigerians will be paying more to get their subpar Tecno, Itel and Infinix phones while indirectly growing the economy of Ethiopia.
Perhaps its battery life is a strong selling point but again, what's the use of a long lasting battery without exciting features to power?
Source: www.lodega.com very much well on point very soon nobody in the lower n mid class will be able to afford any substandard tecno infinix or itel i just dy look Nigerians sha tons of other better cheaper standard products out dere dat gives value for lil money, as Nigerians we re always naive to the truth nice write up jare let those who know, know... those that choose to remain adamant shud... shikena. |
