Alfamann: There must be something wrong somewhere because striktlymi is one of the most illogical characters I have seen on nairaland. He is no atheist and actually well represents christianity in its glory of hypocrisy and false modesty.

but covering of hair was an order from Paul to the corith church because of their tradition..very christian women stopping tieing their hair because they felt that being born again gave them the liberty to do what they like and this didn't ogur well for the men who say hear tieing as submission to authority (men were considered superior).it was causing comotion, hence paul gave that instruction, so he can restore oderliness to the corith church. also research on the acient corith tradition to get a clearer view

advocate666: I am talking about god's characteristics. We already know he shares a lot with humans and animals especially males in terms of senses and bodily fonctions. We know he can smell. Infact he loves the smell of burnt animals and like a junkie would even kill if he doesn't get his daily dose. We know he can speak. We know he can hear. We know he can see. We know he has emotions, like love, jealosy, anger, etc. We also know he loves fighting and can be touched. We know he gets tired.

But there are also multitude of things we don't know about him and wonder if his shared characteristics are limited to those we are aware of. For example, does he eat? Does he urinate? Does he think or worry? Does he have sexxual desires? Does he have noses? ears? eyes? How many and where? Can he fly? Etc.

Have you pondered on these things or are you still limiting your thoughts?

My Uncle was killed by a suicide bomber from Bokoharam some months back and we just celebrated his funeral. Though I do not hold a grudge against every muslim cause I believe we have some very good muslims out there who I dear say are better than some Christians.

But after some sober reflection I felt the need to understand why he died. I am aware of the "Cause" of Bokoharam and some of their grouse against anyone who is not Muslim but still I need to understand their drive. For someone to agree to blow himself up suggests some driven force. I don't think it's just the part of the virgins cause if the quran frowns against suicide then their hope of getting those virgins is dashed.

So my question again is: Does the quran support Suicide? Quotes from the quran will be appreciated.
