I think you're looking at this in another, albeit interesting, angle.
Starting a service that generates constant revenue seems simple enough until you realise starting it for a poor person even as simple as it sounds involves serious risks too. For the level you are now I presume starting a provision store can be something you start today if you want to because that's small to you, however for a "mallam" that's huge risk that failure can have effect deep into their future.

This is why having a rich family is one of the greatest ways to succeed, you imagine what failure is like as a poor person and the picture isn't pretty at all. No roof over your head, deep starving hunger, faded clothes, deep depression and regrets. If you're a married man with kids it's even a more bleaker outlook. A person from a rich family simply views failure as he still living the same standard that he has only without some luxury he/she can easily do without

What strategic military sites are left in Ukraine and has not been hit or harassed by russian munitions? Almost all Ukraine's productions are done Outside the country by it's allies and then transported to Ukraine to be used now as Russia has eyes everywhere there and can hit anything with the Kiznals, Iskanders, Geran/Shahed and many other forms of ammunitions. They've been hitting Kyiv almost every night now and all western media reports follow the same formula. "Russia launches 500 drones and missiles at Kyiv civilians killing 2 and injuring 3". Days later footages leak from the civilians showing Ammo storages getting blown up in such strikes, Factories getting hit, air defense systems like patriots launching all its missiles in self defense to prevent being hit etc but western media latches unto one death of a civilian which while very sad make it sound like Russia launched 500 missiles and drones to kill one or two civilians.

1sharon does have a point though. Me as a case study, all females I've ever lent money to return them while there are males I've borrowed money for almost a decade now that hadn't!

The most egregious experience was someone I lent money march 2023 saying he needed it to solve short term issues with his business which I did. The person's business is located in the next house to one of my own businesses so I see the activities in his business but he never paid. Excuses upon excuses. Worst incident was when I was informed he's about to win a bet9ja ticket worth 8 times the amount he borrowed from me and I asked him if it's true which he confirmed. The last match on that ticket was a Barcelona match in which he played over 1.5 goals. Around 80 minutes there was no goal in the match but Barcelona scored two late goals to secure the victory which meant he won the ticket. I then asked for my money again and he said he's yet to submit the ticket for cashing the money that he will redeem the win the next day, which is Monday. I waited patiently for monday only for him not to open his business at all that Monday. Tuesday came and he said he'd used the money for family issues bla bla bla. Close to two years now I'm yet to get my money. Now I've written it off as bad debt and avoid interacting with him at all if I can help it


Now for the OP, he needs some self reflection. He needs to ask himself why he'd been lending and gifting stuffs and cash to the girl and her friend, could he have done the same for a fellow men he has no connection to or a menopausal woman who's given birth to 8 kids from 4 different men? If the answer is yes then you're a nice guy but if it's no then you're just being nice as a means to an end and I strongly suspect the latter from the story you narrated. women sense when the latter is the case and would bill you to poverty if you don't get back to your senses when they see your penis is the one doing the thinking for you
