Just curious. Is there an explanation for why Hisense products dominate declutter pages and clearance sales pages compared to other brands?

so long you or your installer has confirmed all is well, and you know the weather around you is okay (mind you we currently in rainy season), only be bothered if repeatedly, your battery bank ain't getting filled as expected. No be every diagnosis can be done online.

Either way, what I said still stands, na inverter go draw power wey e need. Not the other way round.

A real life example is laptop chargers. a laptop with recommended charger of 19v 2A , if you use 19v 100A, there would never be issue BUT you see that voltage eh, if you try use 20v 2A , even if the laptop no spoil instantly, the lifespan must drop over time.

Now should you instead use 19v 1A, the charger go struggle to deliver hence e go begin hot or warn. That's because the laptop is trying to draw the needed current which is more than the poor charger can deliver.

In other words, Voltage flows in by it's self, BUT current gets pulled as needed by the connected device / appliance.

Could the installer perhaps didn't install it properly or perhaps I was given an inferior panel?

I have personally said this multiple times, even yesterday sef. The inverter draws what it needs. Having 10kw solar panels, no matter how Original they are, or quality of everything you have, or how much sun is available or even installed on carPort. if your load doesn't request more than 2kw, then you would never see a draw of more than 2kw on the inverter's LCD.

Also observe that when your battery is low, and starts charging, even if you switch off every other load, the readings would always increase BUT would later drop gradually as the battery fills up.

No need looking for what ain't missing. Just ensure all is well and leave the rest. Na when weather dey very bad, you go know.

Also, mentioning 8pcs of 725w solar panels, without stating other things such as battery type, battery voltage and capacity, inverter capacity, etc.

My inverter is Deye 6kva, battery is 16kwh Deye lithium. I believe an expert that you are knows the rest of the information from both I've provided

It's been an awesome experience so far as I'm yet to use generator since I switched and the lowest battery percentage I've closed with was around 12:30am at night which was 48%.

Now I don't panic when there's no light or when my light trips off, which it did this morning.
I'd even say I've only used light to charge the inverter this previous night, aside that it's all been the panel. The panel almost always, even at slightly cloudy times, give more power than the shop consumes.

Thanks house for all the advice and I'd like to hear more advice in terms of maintenance, what to do and what not to do.

There's something I observed from my panels.

I installed 725w jinko bifacial panels 8 pcs which should give a highest wattage of 5.8kw at peak production

However I've observed the inverter doesn't read more than 3.7kw no matter how hot the weather gets.


Is this okay? If not what could possibly be the reasons. I must add it serves me well even as it is but one wants to get the most out of what one spends money on so I'd like to know the reasons and possible solutions

Sir this is wrong. Every brand can deliver poor after sales service (Sims, Fouani, Mikano n more) can deliver poor after sales service but sometimes this issues are relative. As a customer when u want to buy an item, ask for warranty n the T&C of the warranty so u know if u are okay with it or not. Many generator brands warranty DONT applies to the generator coil. If issues happens u begin to call them names that dy scammed u whereas u didn’t read through to know you didn’t have warranty on the coil. Please sir we have been on NL for over 3year with Good report, pls we demand an apology for this post sir.
