I believe that the only reason most people come here to buy things is because they either cannot afford the brand new or it will have financial impact on them if they buy new ones.

I want to specifically call out resellers. Inasmuch as it's business for you, but I find it weird. They buy everything and go to another thread and sell it exorbitantly thereby denying the people who genuinely need those items the opportunity to have one at a fair price here.

It's no longer buying for use but buying for profit. I know people will insult me but that's how I feel.

Gone are the days when people come here to buy things. Your competitors for items are your fellow people who equally needs those items. Now, you have to compete with business men/women who are in for the profit (which is not bad) but weird to me.

as I predicted the other day when someone decided to corner everything for his own selfish interests and lack of consideration for others, This thread is dying a slow painful death. I remember when I'd be away for a few minutes and I'd come back to meet like 2-3 pages comprising majorly mouthwatering deals. now I go and come back a day later to meet only watch sellers, phone sellers, laptop sellers, vehicle registration sellers, fake shoe sellers, fake shirt sellers, inverter sellers, battery sellers etc. the only few deals you see now are from middlemen. gone are the days when we had lots of monickers and guests viewing the thread hoping to pounce on a deal or two, now viewers are drying up like a frigid woman's vajina

That's not just the essence of this thread though. It's not just about both the seller and buyer being happy with the sale. Clearance sales is also about making people happy by helping them out financially (probably) through their low sale of properties they have little need for at that time. I get that it's a little different now as people go for clearance sale because they need the money urgently and their property is a means to that urgent fund. It may be slightly different from others that just want to clear it out (at cheap rates) because they don't need it anymore. But understand that that second category of people still remain whose priority is not the financial gain. For such people, it will be saddening to see their product displayed again for profit which makes nonsense of their initial motive. Don't encourage a change of character that suggests they should be more business-like and cash-out. If everyone is like that, you probably won't make it far in life. No one will. It's actually part of what is killing us as a nation presently, the penchant to cash out on any opportunity with little regard for the impact of such moves.

This seller was dragged and dragged, insulted, criticised and his life here was made miserable till he left here.

Now take such a scenario. I'd hazard a guess that around 90% of regulars here could've afforded to buy from the original seller at the price but since they didn't need it they ignored the advert till someone who we assume needed it eventually bought it. That's what clearance is about

What these people that are either supporting him or trying to give an aura of neutrality is doing in essence is that we should all rush that wardrobe to buy it so that someone who truly needs it wouldn't be able to buy it then jack up the price. do these people think this thread would've lasted this long if this had been happening?

As at when he created his thread, I doubt his original intention was to sell/buy here because it was someone that pointed him to this thread. So he came here to ask for people that want to sell off their items. Even if it is a whole house, he would buy it.

I only know Unique.wise and I am very sure I didn’t drive him away. Neither did I at any point put mouth in that matter. I don’t have strength to call out people over “high prices” because it is quite a subjective argument and it is also the norm to sell high here. My own is to tell/show where to buy it cheaper or insult Hisense. So this has nothing to do with “knowing” him as some people are insinuating.
