This theory holds especially true in business. In fact, it is abnormal and a case of market failure when items are sold for dirt cheap. That is why people tend to raise to raise eyebrows on such prices and scammers use it as a strategy..it is also why the clearance sales industry is a viable one and there are lots pawn shops and clearing houses to fill this vacuum.

If you want cheap deals, hunt for it. Don't blame someone who sees the opportunity and fills the vacuum. If you do, you can as well blame the seller for selling to a middleman. There is an "invisible hand" behind every transaction; seller wants to make money and buyer wants to maximize satisfaction. There is no coercion at all. All the dragging and shouting here can't distort that theory

The onus is on every buyer to research and ensure he is buying at good prices. We also also ensure that through enlightenment.

I would blame such people that fill the vacuum because there have been people who have the wherewithal to do what he just started but refused out of desire not to render the thread bother on uselessness for those not that privileged or do you think what he's doing now is due to groundbreaking Eureka moment?
There's an unwritten rule here that those that buy do so with the intention of consuming it and that's a rule that we all have been following. there have been many deals over the years I could easily buy with the intention to resell and I'd make money from it but refused and I'm sure there are many like me here too. This is what's called ethics not morals and a business man like him would know such very well

I've taken several "risks" to get items here too at cheap prices but I shouldn't create a business around buying with the intention to sell it here again as that in my honest opinion defeats the purpose of this thread. when someone advertised his new Caterpillar safety boot here I bought it cuz I wanted to "use" it. something worth over 50K was sold to me for 12K. now imagine me "taking the risk" to buy it with the intention of advertising it here for 20-30K? someone also just advertised PS3 for 30-35K and I think it's neat or new. imagine me buying it for the sole purpose of selling it here for 45K? That shouldn't be. I do understand the fact that one can buy something and later resell due to several reasons but buying with the purpose of profit shouldn't be.

The silence of several people here about this is highly disturbing cuz we all know deep within us at least that this reaction wouldn't be the case if this were Uniquewise or 1kbabyshoes, people I observed created a business around this idea too; they were driven away from the thread due to this and now that it's someone more well known and richer(?) there's silence? we might as well close the thread already if this is going to be allowed.

I hate when scammers scam and their victims give empty threats with no desire to follow it through. My monicker was created after someone who was scammed and spent the rest of his life going after the ring of scammers then bringing them all to book. just type J Frank Norfleet on Google and see for yourself and yes I try my best not to be scammed but if it happens and I threaten the scammer you can be damn sure I'd make life miserable for the scammer and whatever accomplice is involved, only my mum can dissuade me, not even god. I'm the type that would happily spend one million to avenge a scam of 2,000 if I decide to. the desire for revenge overwhelms whatever material or time I'd lose just like my mentor Frank Norfleet pbuh

I'm perplexed that these victims just threaten then do nothing, giving these scammers another chance to scam again and again

However after all is said and done I have a strict policy of never sending any money to anyone until I've inspected and I'm satisfied with the item. no amount of video call would make me part with a Kobo. no talk of "pay fast or I'd sell it to someone else" would make me pay you. if you sell it to someone else then I just assume it wasn't meant to be bought by me. I extend this same policy to anything I'm selling too. I recently sold my Redmi note 7 here and the person I sold it to actually offered to pay before she comes. I vehemently refused to accept payment. I told her she'd have to come down to inspect and pay if she's satisfied with the item. she came a few hours later and paid. took it home and business was concluded.

We should blame the scammed person for paying before getting item NOT for trying to buy something at a ridiculous price. or would it have been better if she paid 50K for the fridge instead of whatever she paid?

Let's face the real issue rather than focusing on the price of a deal. thanks

Hello my people. I bought a Redmi Note 7 from someone here 3 years ago and I used it with no issue till around 3 months ago that while separating a fight between customers in my shop the phone was knocked out from my hand which coincided with the
day I removed the screenguard.screen got Damaged and I had it replaced a while later. this Sunday the screen I replaced got Damaged again -you know how the less said about how strong these replacement screens are the better - Anyways I take it in for repair again although by that time my power flex got spoilt so I managed to keep using it without switching it off. when the screen was changed for the second time the phone couldn't be switched on again owing to the bad power flex. Anyways I just bought Redmi Note 10 Pro from Noobody but I'm still looking to change the power flex and the screen for the Redmi Note 7 cuz I still want to recover my data from the phone. is there anyone here that has these parts?

Heads up, Pabloesman is trying to scam with this advert.

So rang him up yesterday on these games he advertised and he told me on phone he's based in Kwara state. I said I'm based in Lagos so I would use escrow. he said he's comfortable using escrow. I then WhatsApped him to conclude and once I made mention of escrow I observed he stopped chatting.

Thinking he's not been online I decided to use my other WhatsApp to chat him and see if he responds. to my utmost shock he did and the conversation got to escrow I asked him which escrow he knows on nairaland and he mentioned "dayoung1000". I searched for the monicker on nairaland and got no hits. I then told him to let's use wese90 and he's stoped chatting again.


My suspicion is he wants people that'd pay ahead for the product and he won't send anything. I'm doing this for people who might be taking to him right now. don't fall victim
