If you have submitted your application and waiting for PPR, then have patience. Do you want to use your POF to apply for a TRV? You think it won't raise eyebrows? Mimi1999: Good day all.
I have a licensing exam(phatmacy) by June and the
website says international graduates of pharmacy can
apply and will be given a letter as it pertains visa. I am
also awaiting PPR(express entry) and believe I will get
it before June. Please what are my chances?
I am 30, single, i just resumed work in a pharmacy and
my salary is 250k. I was without a job for 3 months
and I have 10k USD
in my account as POF from express entry application.
Zero travel history or visa refusal.
I can only write the exam in Canada or London.
Please help me. |

Congratulations!! That was quite fast seeing as you added your partner after submitting. ruicosta2000: I'm sorry this is coming late. I started the journey around June 2018. I am a silent reader and was inspired by the success stories I read here. And so I decided to give it a try. ECA was with WES and straightforward. IELTS was on July 7. Initially had LRWS 8 8.5 6.5 8 but EOR was successful and writing upgraded to 7. I noticed the score change in the morning of August 8. I started following up with IDP Australia a week after I submitted the EOR on July 20 and always checked online early in the morning and just before I sleep at night. Called IDP that Wednesday morning (there was going to be a draw that day) to find out if they had the hard copy same day and went to their office at Ogudu to pick up. They had the hard copy but hadn't mailed me to pick it up yet as the bank draft for refund of the EOR fee wasn't ready yet. I told them I didn't mind and could pick up the draft later. I got the ITA same day. Submitted the application on Sept 1 and notified them of my intention to add common-law partner on November 7. We were given 30 days to submit the additional documents. Submitted on December 7. I received a mail requesting her to do Biometrics and a few minutes later, the PPR mail came on February 12. Documents submitted include AXA Money Market as POF Bank Account letter of confirmation and proof of investment in Fixed deposit. Letter from a Close Friend attesting to the relationship AXA life insurance policy naming her as beneficiary. Rent receipt in both our names for one year. Statement of account showing transfers from my account to hers over the past one year Photographs taken together with time date of location spanning one year (10 photos). I wish everyone speedy processing and success. |

Send them a message via the contact form saying you want to add another document, they'll update your profile to reflect the additional document. I started my evaluation with only my B.Sc before I calculated my CRS and decided to include my Master's degree. cmaamaa: Good evening fellow NLs... She has already sent in her BSc in French (UNN) to WES before mentioning these other certificates.

Why not share the name of your school. There might be someone here who has gone through the same process and can give you more information. I didn't pay for verification of my credentials. jrapheal: Good morning house, I need a quick answer to something urgent because I am about to beat somebody up in my institution today.
I have spent so much money in sending my documents (Neco transcripts, HND and OND transcripts, and my statement of Results ) to WES, on my WES page, they have received my documents and have sent it back to my school for verification.
Please do I need to pay my school for verification and for courier again to send it back to WES? I think the verification process is no longer my business. Cos I got a call from the clerk in my school office asking me to pay the same amount I paid earlier for them to verify my docs and send back to WES.
Pls help me with information pls if u have crossed this bridge before. I have been on WES since November 7. |

Like Smileymum said, contact the airline and see if you can modify your ticket (you'll have to pay for this). I believe you should be able to. Else, you might have to buy another ticket for Toronto-Calgary taking into consideration your arrival time in Toronto. Also bear in mind that you'll have to pay for your checked in luggage if you go with this option. Barryston: I only booked to Toronto what can I do now? |

Didn't you book a ticket that will take you all the way to Calgary? If you did, then you only need to take your connecting flight to Calgary when you get to Toronto. Barryston: Good day everyone, please I've booked our flight to Canada via EgyptAir but final destination is Calgary. Please am i to book for Calgary flight when i get to Toronto or how is it done?

Congratulations! You did your part and God is doing his own part. Wishing you many more beautiful testimonies. amdman: TESTIMONY TIME
So I have been 6weeks in Canada and I can say that God has been so faithful, so much so that my greatest challenge many a times is making the best choice amongst many good options. Here are a few highlights:
Starting a Business Participating in Acces' Entrepreneurship Connections has been very helpful in getting to understand how things work here. My business' niche is highly regulated, so there is a lot of work to be done. Lots of useful contacts made. Looking forward to Business Day 1.
Finding Work First week of February, I decided to start job-hunting so that bills will be getting paid. Before the week was out, I got and resumed at this interesting job at an Airline Servicing Company. Also got an RBC invite for an info session and interview. Aced it and got an offer to resume at RBC this February as a fulltime staff. They will be bearing the cost of obtaining some certification that I require. Today, I got another offer from TD Bank...but RBC's offer appears better, and I love the atmosphere at RBC's head office where I will be working.
Finding Accommodation This has remarkably been easy. When I needed to move from Airbnb to a more permanent accommodation, I found a lovely place in Toronto where the Landlady didn't care about my newness to Canada. No job reference, credit check or guarantor required and rent is paid month to month (not first and last as is usually required). Now because of my new job at RBC, I need to move to Mississauga. Guess what? A Canadian friend connected me to a couple in Brampton that have a furnished 1-bedroom basement apartment for rent and we agreed on a month to month rent of $625 CAD! For a 1-bed apartment within GTA! Amazing!
There are so many other things to be thankful for in this new place called HOME, and it can only get better.
TIP: Doing as much research as possible before landing is important to hit the ground running. |
