Thanks for your response. Please can you give me your contact's number? agates: 1. You can apply for a new passport before the 6 months expiry. Did it for my son and no hassles. Depends on who is helping you in immigration tho.
2. Having a valid visa on the previous passport will not be an issue if you are travelling. |

Please help... jhoci: Hello Fam,
I have a couple of questions, kindly excuse my ignorance. My passport will expire 19th Jan 2019. I am waiting for my ECA to be completed before filling the express entry form with an estimated point of 460. My concerns;
1. Should I apply for a new passport now before I fill the EE form since I have barely six months validity left on my current passport?
2. Is it possible to get a new passport with my current one still valid for a little over six months?
PS: I have a valid US visa and might travel for some family issues after submitting my eAPR.
Thanks for the expected response(s) |

I will advise you ask your school to include a copy of your certificate in their response to WES. That was what I did when I got a mail saying they were requesting further verification from my school. I called their customer service and they couldn't tell me why the need for further verification. Anyway my status now shows, accepted. iPopAlomo: Good morning everyone... WES just bounced back my NCE saying it sent another verification post back to the school after my school has sent it twice already... is it that WES doesn't accept NCE... As I was hoping to utilise the two or more certificates to boost CRS...
Would like to know if anyone was able to get his/her NCE certificate evaluated by WES...
p.s: it's too late to withdraw...
still can't swim in the pool... Sad much... |

Just an update..... I got my school to include a copy of my degree certificate in the verification mail sent to WES, it wasn't included in the initial response, my profile now shows accepted. My Master degree verification is still pending, after that I'll be good. canadiandamsel: You may not be far from the truth. I will have them include my degree certificate to know if that will solve the problem. |

Please don't pay anybody. I applied online during the strike period so mine took quite some time. But after the strike I went to the records office to confirm my application was received. I was directed to the person in charge of my department's transcript, she showed me my file and also gave me her number to followup. I called her a number of times to get updates and when my transcript was sent she gave me the DHL tracking number. I didn't pay a dime extra. funshobabs: Please my people, my wife just came home and start telling me that the contact in unilag said they want 20k to process her transcript and send to Wes, after paying 25k through remita. Am so appalled right now. This is so unfair... Plz any help. |

@canadiandamsel I'm facing the same issue regarding verification. Did you send your statement of result or degree certificate to WES pre-verification? I want to know how to advise my school because what I sent to WES was my degree certificate. Thanks. canadiandamsel: Finally wes has accepted my documents. The first time my school sent only verification letter. Second time they sent verification letter and transcript. Third time they sent same but wes kept returning the verification email. This week my school finally got it right, they sent verification letter, transcript and statement of result. I hope this helps anyone facing same challenge. |

Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by jhoci: 8:21pm On May 12, 2018 |
Please is it possible the reason WES is requesting further verification is because the school only verified the transcript and didn't include a copy of the degree certificate? This deduction is coming based on the conversation I had with the customer care agent. I might be wrong though. happytbaby: Sorry Dear.
This is extremely frustrating.
Can you have your school send the verification response in writing with another set of transcripts, signed and sealed? This may solve the problem. |

I'm in the same situation right now. I just got a mail this week saying they are requesting further verification from my institution. I called their customer care three times and they couldn't help. I've filled the contact form twice and they replied me with same mail again saying they are requesting further verification. I called the lady in charge of sending the verification in my school and she sounded frustrated. I hope she sends another verification as promised. I pray it doesn't happen repeatedly because it's taking me a lot not to get worked up. canadiandamsel: I have been a silent reader since last year. Am done with Ielts but am having issues with wes verification. My school got a verification email which they responded to. Wes acknowledged and sent me an email that my school has responded. After about two weeks plus of reviewing the documents, they sent another verification, i went to school to complain, after which school sent another one. Last two weeks they sent another verification, i called wes they said they did not get 100% verification from my school. I went to school again to follow it up, they replied wes (meanwhile the lady sending the verification said she has not experienced such before with wes) Just yesterday wes sent another verification email to my school. I called their customer care line, the agent said they don't have access to the email sent to my school, that it is confidential. I have spoken to six of their agents, yet no headway. I ended up shouting at the last agent i spoke with yesterday. My school is tired of sending verifiication (they said they dont know what else wes wants. Please has anyone experienced this. please help |

Its not a funny something at all. I've been on this NOC code thing for over a month now and wanted to make sure I have done all I can before reaching out. I'm considering dropping it and using my previous job role but I'm not sure how to go about that. I worked on the job from 2009 to early 2014. Is it possible to ignore my most recent job and use an older one? PS: I be "she" ooo . mcstan18: Nne ehn, I went through that 7202 several times yesterday but couldn't muster up enough courage to suggest it. It's the closest to his stated roles though but stresses on performing those duties while interfacing with staff rather than contractors. I hope it gets the nod |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by jhoci: 7:00pm On May 10, 2018 |
Thanks a lot for your response. I have read through 7202 and the lead statement seems to apply. The main duties partly applies and can be worked on. My concern is the employment requirements, it states that "Journeyman/woman trade certification in a relevant trade is required." I do not have such certification. Kindly advise on this; I previously worked as a Training Coordinator/Project Admin also in the telecomms industry for about 5 years. I have been able to narrow down the relevant job code to 1241/1221 and I can get a reference letter for it. Is it possible to use this role as my primary job code and ignore my last job role? Newmum0615: Look at 7202 Contractors and supervisors, electrical trades and telecommunications occupations and then work your way around to find any other one that is more suitable. Ensure the lead statement as well as the listed duties aligns with your overall work experience. |

Please can anyone help me out here? jhoci: Hello house, please I need help with deciding om the right NOC for my job description.I have gone through the site a n umber of times but can't seem to find the right match. I worked as a "Contract Administrator" in the telecommunications sector for almost 4 years until end of last year. I covered PH region (comprising 5 states) and reported to the Contract Manager in Lagos. There were other contract administrators covering other parts of the country. My job description was as follows;
• Ensure effective implementation and closure of maintenance contract according to set SLA with the Customer (MTN) and 3PP (Maintenance Vendors). • Drive the Exclusion Process between the Customer and company with a view of getting sign offs for Reduced Penalties (One of my KPIs was to reduce penalty for PH region from the customer. This translates to money). • Ensure Purchase order release and Closure with 3PP (I signed off invoices for work done by our vendors in the region and made sure they got their POs to process payment with our office in Lagos). • Monitor vendor performance against SLA and prepare Performance Report. • Support commercial negotiations. • Track work completion per maintenance vendor according to SLA. Track and report daily site maintenance by the Field engineers and ensure all planned jobs for the month is 100% complete. • Ensure scope compliance. • Support pre-sales activities • Customer support within the region I would really appreciate any assistance with finding the right job code. Thanks! |

Thanks a lot! Another question please. I worked in the same company for a little over 10 years. But the first 7 years was as a contract staff via an outsourcing firm. I was then made a full staff and worked for an additional 3.5 years before retrenchment end of last year. The issue is, I was able to easily find the NOC code for my job role when I was a contract staff, but my roles changed when I became a full staff and I have found it difficult matching it to a NOC code. So do I; A. Use only my job experience as a contract staff? I will have to contact the outsourcing agency for a reference letter but I don't have payslips for that period. B. Merge the job roles for the two positions and explain to the HR manager so I can get a reference letter to cover it. I have all the neccesary documents to prove my employment for that period; payslips, offer letter, confirmation of employment letter. Will this been seen as fraud? I don't want to jeopardize my chances. Thanks again.... Ethelia: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Central Intake Office (cio) Sydney, Nova Scotia Canada. |
