I will just refer you to the last presidential election, GEJ presented Sambo Dasuki, a former governor and incumbent vice president as his running mate, he lost in Kaduna and the entire north west.

In 2003 and 2007, Buhari presented Okadigbo and Ume-Ezeoke respectively as his running mates, he lost on both occasions in the south east.

So, choosing a running mate from a region doesn't guarantee you the votes of that region. The middle belt is even the most complicated zone in the country. They are too diverse to predict. As it is, nothing can stop APC for now and definitely, not the south east. Igbos don't have the national appeal to win a presidential election for now.

We saw this cluelessness in Jonathan and decided to vote him out to save our dear country from recession like Greece but the Igbo's thought otherwise by believing there is a conspiracy between the north and SW. Their elites who were benefiting from the looting in GEJ's govt had to sponsor nnamdi Kanu to support Jonathan's re-election and when he lost to Buhari, they changed to Biafra agitations just to destabilize buhari's govt. When kanu realized that biafra agitations is a golden goose, he started scamming the igbos just like uwazuruike who is selling fake Biafra passport.
Biafra is not the solution to the problems of the east. They should rather look inwards and geer up their leaders to emulate South West governors who are working hard to make the southwest a world class region. United Nigeria is all we want. The people of the SS should beware of the plot called biafra. Its a plot to colonize them because of oil. Biafra will never come once Nnamdi kanu is jailed or executed. Their agitations will die down and we shall have the last laugh against the rebellious ipob youths.

Thats what you miss. The price of land is minute and inconsequential to government compared to opportunities.
These guys constructing won't bring foreigners to build, they will employ people locally. Those construction workers will eat, commute, buy recharge card, pay taxes and that way, a lot of jobs are created and wealth is spread.
When theu companies start, they will employ Nigerians. They are creating jobs, they will pay tax, a lot of them will endorse entertainers, some will sponsor events like sports and upcoming sportsmen and women.
They will set up manufacturing plants and employ people and even if they dont export, we reduce what we import hence making the economy better.
This is not about land or who owns most of the property but the fact that those who buy and build will be adding value to the local economy
