Thanks. Actually I'm looking at timing. The time to learn the framework. I have this funny learning process that I must be versatile with library or language am using before going into full production of any kind, this might force me to learn as I code the web app.

If you are experienced enough and know about the common php security pitfalls and how to avoid them, then carry on. If not you may want to look at the advantages of using Frameworks. In my opinion setting aside time to learn how to use a framework and follow coding conventions isn't a waste of time.

You will also learn when you use a Framework, just make sure you take a look at the source code of a feature you are using once in a while.

If you take your time to learn a Framework now, it will really save you more time on projects.


It is very easy to write unsecured code in php, but if you use a Framework you will be leveraging on the experience of a vast number of people, since most Frameworks are open source.


It may not be easy porting your code a Framework, since you have to test every part you are copying / rewriting.

I have always wanted to automate the way I download TV Series, from navigating through sites crawling with ads to the point of downloading where it could ask you to wait for 5 seconds before you download.

The bot was designed to bypass all that and give the direct download link with their subtitles. It can also recommend tv series based on the IMDB and rotten tomatoes ratings.

That form is too long, I stopped halfway when I was trying add a business. You look at Vconnect aproach.
Then it seems the bot is still in development mode.

What are you saying now? This is a SUG election, it's not as if you will just be registering a phone number. They already have the list of students with their phone numbers.
So, 1 you need to be able to login to students portal. Then 2 before you can vote, you need to do OTP verification. Tell me how you would bypass that?

Don't even tell me. Teach the op how you would bypass that.

You are right. Everything that is on a network has possibility of being hacked. But the guy wants to hack an election that uses OTP, and is coming in a few weeks time. What is the chances of that being hacked? Not even by a seasoned hacker but by someone who may have little programming experience.

Tell him the standard development process.
Someone will make the design first in photoshop, then write them in html and css, and finally do the integration.
The whole process are usually done by more than 1 person. If the client can afford all that, fine.

But if you talking about frameworks and not cms, I don't think a client should know up to that level. The only thing a client should be concerned about is the output / UI.
You should be able to use any development tool you feel like.

Just source code wouldn't do. I'm sure you will need to get servers at different locations, then there will be a lot of server configurations involved.

So someone saying he wants to sell the source code sounds like a scam to me.

You can't learn how to program quickly if you don't have a good foundation in Programming. If you want to be good in Object Oriented Programming,I will advice you start with C Language and become grounded in it. Also forget all those big names you mentioned above,you wont learn the main practical,instead you will be taught lots of theory.

My advice,start with C,ensure you are grounded in it,It will make learning Java,C#,c++ easy. Cheers

@mandy4s Usually one develops apps differently for each platform, eg development environment for Android is different from IOS and Windows. Apps done this way are called native apps.

The concept around those kind of websites is that you only need to write a web app with Html and JavaScript once and you can deploy everywhere (Android, Windows, IOS). They are called hybrid apps.

The differences between native and hybrid apps are getting slimmer each day. So if you are only targeting Android users I will suggest you hire an Android developer but if you want to target most mobile platforms, it will be cheaper to hire someone that can build hybrid apps.
