Yes. There is no need to start coding it sef. Just install Postman chrome plugin and test with it. You can chat with 1 of my bots on Facebook www.facebook.com/sbot07 It has the ability to crawl nairaland and send you the front page topics and the content of each. |
^^ right ^^^^ it is that simple, you don't even need to handle cookies since you are just validating. I don't have to start writing the program. I'm used to writing bots and Web crawlers already. NB: Handling cookie is just to keep the user logged in, which is done automatically by a web browser. |
teampregar:it's actually quite simple, just inspect nairaland login form. You will see it is posting to link, just simulate it like below. Send a post request to https://www.nairaland.com/do_login with your username & password and make sure you include Content-Type = application/x-www-form-urlencoded in the header. You will receive an error message if the login is invalid or the homepage if successful. |
Php7 is 2x faster than php5.6 but not still as fast as hhvm. What I would be more interested in is Php7 Vs hhvm, will people using hhvm start migrating back to php because of the improved speed? |
^^^ probably in your template when you need to echo something <?= $user->firstname ?? 'guest' ?> |
In Laravel blade you can just do {{ $user->firstname or 'guest' }} and it translates to the above |
There are some vps that are as cheap as shared hosts. An example is http://ovh.us which is cheaper than Godaddy shared host. I can't remember the last time I saw cpanel sef and most of my websites are using hhvm |
Go market go find your goat na |
If Ruby has Rails we have Laravel. Although I have started looking at Golang |
212blaze:If they should ban this 1 too, then they are looking for trouble. I can just create an anti-nairaland bot and deploy 500 of it, we will see how the mods and Nl stup.id bot can handle them. ![]() |
^^^ it is MYBB cms. I doubt he can do much customisation on it |
^^^ it's not even about mine. You are 1 of the people that caused http://sachng.com to be taken down |
It's actually a good effort. But you criticise others website as if you are a seasoned web developer |
^^^ imagine a simple forum she started building last year |
webninja:You are more useless if you think I'm a newbie |
Smh with all your noise |

Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court has announced that Monday June 6 is the first day of Ramadan after confirming seeing the moon crescent, Al Arabiya News Channel reported. The UAE, Jordan and the Palestinian territories have also confirmed seeing the Ramadan moon crescent and declared Monday as the first day of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims. Muslims follow a lunar calendar consisting of 12 months in a year of 354 or 355 days. Sighting a crescent moon heralds the start of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. More than 1.5 billion Muslims around the world will mark the month, during which believers abstain from eating, drinking, smoking and having martial relations from dawn until sunset. They also try to avoid evil thoughts and deeds. Ramadan is sacred to Muslims because tradition says the Koran was revealed to their prophet Mohammed during that month. Fasting the month of Ramadan is also one of the five pillars of Islam. It is followed by the Eid al-Fitr festival. cc: mukina2, lalasticlala |

MTN, in partnership with the MTN Solution Space at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business and Jumia, are proud to announce that team MedRX from Ghana emerged as the winner of the inaugural MTN Entrepreneurship Challenge powered by Jumia. The Pan-African competition, which launched on February 15, 2016, came down to the wire on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the MTN Entrepreneurship Festival held at Philippi Village in Cape Town. The three finalists from Nigeria, Ghana and Tanzania faced a panel of experienced business leaders comprising Jérémy Hodara, co-CEO Africa Internet Group, Professor Walter Baets, Director of the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business and Herman Singh, MTN Group Chief Digital Officer, as they battled it out for the US $25 000 cash prize to start-up their own unique business. The three finalists had to pitch their unique digital application or smart solution to combat a challenge faced in Africa and it was Victoria Acheampong, Hayford Brako and Yannick Kabu Bosomprah from team MedRX from Ghana who received top honours. The judges concurred that MedRX had the best online to offline capability, meaning that one can go online to get services offline. “We really were impressed with the width of their functionality and the depth of the integration of the application, handling a very complex challenge that actually delivered astonishingly great human value,” said Herman Singh, Chief Digital Officer from the MTN Group. The winning application aims to connect patients, doctors and healthcare professionals like it has never been seen before. The application is an interactive health platform for all users who have health needs and it connects all users to health personnel from various fields of practice including hospital, pharmacy, laboratory and academia. “It’s like having a pharmacy on your phone and having access to medication,” says Victoria Acheampong from Team MedRX. The winner also walked away with a year-long partnership with Jumia, a Facebook Start Program to the value of US $15 000 and the opportunity to be incubated at the MTN Solution Space at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business and at Jumia. Team MedRX will have access to world-class marketing teams, mentors to help them along and the environment and structure to be successful. Bankole Cardoso, the Head of Communications at Africa Internet Group added, “MedRX is a very exciting business model and the team members complement each other very well. This business is going to be an African success story.” The runners up, team Pass.ng from Nigeria received US $5 000 towards their business. Their solution is a web, desktop and mobile-based application based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy that focuses on examination preparatory and testing that will assist candidates to excel in all the major Nigerian Examinations and tests. Samson Abioye from Pass.Ng added, “We have always wanted to scale our presence across Africa. While we did not win the prize, this challenge has given us the exposure and the access to key partners who will help us make our presence felt in more countries across Africa”. This ‘first of its kind’ challenge in Africa aimed to boost entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as stronger and more sustainable businesses on the continent. It involved a total of 26 countries, 61 Universities and 1529 applicants across the African continent, which included 734 big ideas, 30 hours of live pitching over seven days in 11 countries, 411 hours of judging to determine the finalists and the winner of the MTN Entrepreneurship Challenge powered by Jumia. http://www.naij.com/847722-mtn-entrepreneurship-challenge-jumia.html cc UjSizzle, Lalasticlala
