ProgrammingRe: How It Feels Like To Learn Javascript In 2016 by jidez007: 7:56pm On Oct 24, 2016
I still prefer having jquery in my project, due to it's numerous plugins and it is still used in most templates.

I really liked Angularjs, but drop it on a page with jquery and all the jquery plugins stops working, except you write custom directives to reimpliment them. As if jquery and angularjs on a page is not bloated enough.

Backbonejs is really light and works well with jquery, but you need to write more code to accomplish something Angular does easily.

As a Laravel person I had to take a look at Vuejs and I really liked it, it's somewhat between Angular and Backbone. If you are building a SPA with it and still concerned about SEO and old browsers, then you can setup Server-Side Rendering with nodejs for that http://vuejs.org/guide/ssr.html how cool is that?

So, currently I will be sticking with Vuejs + JQuery.

gone are the days where you look for hosting company, the present future is cloud hosting using Paas platform like Heroku and Iaas platform like Amazon AWS, Google App Engine.
Exactly. That kind of comment in this century sounds somehow.

If you accept, they show you they are taking some of your personal information. If you don't accept they still take the information without letting you know.

So you don't have any choice...
ProgrammingRe: Must I Learn Everything On Java As An Android Developer? by jidez007: 10:29pm On Aug 19, 2016
I'm using Beginning Java 8 fundamentals, I have not finished the book yet, but I have covered most of the basic java features.
ProgrammingRe: Must I Learn Everything On Java As An Android Developer? by jidez007: 10:26pm On Aug 19, 2016
I recently started learning Java and Android too. I'm using Android nano degree video series by Google and Udemy.

I used to watch the series more than I practiced Java, I thought my skills in php oop and my small C knowledge would help me through the Android course but after Course 1. I started seeing things like Generic classes, Array list, throws keywords in methods.
I had to run back and study Java squarely for 3 weeks.

You mean your forum can filter out my comments? I dont think so, i will bypass the filter somehow.
Not exactly, the author will be the one to mark the relevant posts. Then an option will available to users to show only that marked posts by the author.
ProgrammingRe: Lets Learn C by jidez007: 9:03am On Jul 25, 2016
@op the course makes sense. Permit me to repost them on my forum, because my forum can filter unnecessary comments and show only the important posts, instead of having the user to keep sieving through all the comments.
ProgrammingRe: Share Your Gdevit.com Experience Here! All Trolls, Bots etc - stay out!! by jidez007: 9:40am On Jul 24, 2016
Ofcourse I have an account there, I was 1 of the first few critics. It's a good platform, I have no issues with it.

@booyakasha, it's weird you consider that question silly when I wasn't asking you.

Yes. Just not to confuse beginners.
ProgrammingRe: Why Dont Programming Threads Make Front Page? by jidez007: 11:07pm On Jul 15, 2016
Topics here still make front page, it's just that it happens once a year. The last topic was a week ago, so the next 1 to make fp should be next year.

The new one is already coming out in staged releases, once it is completed - I shall no longer support the old one. It will expire like PHP 5.0, Windows XP and the likes. . . .

This is my last post on this thread and I hope you're hearing me loud and clear..

It is better to know just one language and come out with 75 working end products, than to know 75 Languages and have no selling product of your own or open source projects

Sit down and ask yourself, I'm i really a programmer or a mouthgrammer (Mouth programmer: someone that codes only by talking about the code)?

Even me self have started working towards a forum/social platform for devs like uncle DHTML and aunt Booyakasha... Friendosphere
Even you? Even I have started working on the perfect platform for developers. The combination of Nairaland, gdevit, stackoverflow and quora together... ALL IN ONE
