Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that he is the most experienced candidate to lead Nigeria out of the present predicament. Atiku said he would have defeated former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2003 if he had contested He described President Goodluck Jonathan as an inexperienced leader under whose leadership Nigeria was going through the worst of times. Atiku, who is the All Progressives Congress presidential hopeful, said he,of all the people aspiring to be president, possessed the best democratic principles to lead Nigeria. The former Vice President spoke in Jos on Tuesday while addressing presidential delegates from Plateau State at his Rayfield House in Jos. The APC presidential aspirant however said that he was not desperate for power, as he was ready to support any candidate that emerged as the party’s flag bearer. He said, “All these people contesting for the presidency are inexperienced, compared to my own experience and qualities in democracy. Having been the Vice President of Nigeria for good eight years, nobody has broken this record till today. “Nobody fight the military, in this country, for democracy like me. My mentor, the late Shehu Yar’Adua lost his life in the cause of this struggle. I repeat, nobody fight for democracy like me. For that reason, I am the most experienced politician amongst those contesting the Presidency.” The former Vice President said he was the only strong politician who fought the former President Obansanjo in 2003 against the imposition of a third term, and brought stability to the polity. He promised to tackle the security challenges facing Nigeria by empowering the military with the required equipment. He said he would create room for more recruitment of security personnel to curtail insurgency in the country. The Chairman of the APC in Plateau State, Mr. Latep Dabang, in his speech, promised that all the state delegates would massively vote for Atiku because of his pedigree and support for the party. He added, “I assure you that no Plateau delegate will vote for anybody apart from Atiku.” www.punchng.com/news/im-most-experienced-to-lead-nigeria-atiku/

A Canadian woman sealed her husband’s body in the bedroom for six months after his death while the family waited and prayed for his resurrection. The Hamilton Spectator reports that.Kaling Wald, 50, pleaded guilty Monday to not notifying authorities of her husband’s death, as details in court revealed she allowed his body to rot because she was expecting a truly miraculous recovery. The body of Peter Wald, who died at age 51, was discovered in September.A sheriff had visited the property to evict the family, along with seven other adults that were living in the home, because their mortgage had fallen into foreclosure. Kaling and five of her children, ages 11 to 22, packed up the patriarch’s shoes and bags in preparation for a move. When Kaling opened the bedroom door to retrieve her husband, the sheriff got his first whiff that something was wrong. Peter’s had decomposed beyond recognition and had attracted rats in the bedroom, though Kaling had sealed the door and air vents to protect her family from the smell. His two feet protruded from the blankets Kaling had wrapped around him and secured with duct tape, while a cap was placed on his head. The late Wald suffered from diabetes and had developed an infection in his left foot, but would not go to the doctor, instead relying on God to provide the cure..Kaling said he slipped into a coma in March, but still she slept by his side. When she noticed signs of stomach bloat and rigor mortis days later, she sealed him in the bedroom and the family prayed for him to rise from the dead. ‘It’s an extremely sad case … she truly believed her husband was going to be resurrected from the dead, even after six months,’ assistant crown attorney Janet Booy said. Kaling’s Christian devotion had ‘tainted and warped her better judgment’ , and the family ‘prayed on a daily basis for Peter to come back to life.’ Superior Court Justice Marjoh Agro gave her a suspended sentence, ordering her to serve 18 months’ probation and seek counseling. ‘Your belief that your husband would resurrect is not an issue,’ ‘This is not about your religious beliefs. It is about your safety, the safety of your children and the safety of the community at large.’ Next-door neighbor Brian Dennis says he saw the family dancing and chanting in the back yard while wearing black robes. He also saw flies at the bedroom window and birds pecking at the screen. When he and his wife Brenda asked about Peter’s health, Kaling would only respond ‘He’s in God’s hands now.’

It is every parent’s worst nightmare! This shocking video of a nanny beating, flinging and generally physically abusing a small child. While the source of the video has not been confirmed, online commenters have speculated that the video was shot on a nanny cam by a concerned parent in Uganda. This is so harrowing. In Nigeria, unlicensed nannies and “housegirls” are a popular choice for parents. We hear so many terrible stories about physical and sexual abuse. This video is another reminder of this. Be vigilant about who you appoint to care for your child. in ur own opinion wat would you do to dat house girl ............ watch video here www.bellanaija.com/2014/11/22/shocking-video-shows-nanny-flinging-beating-toddler/
