1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. All over the world, Jews celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Occurring usually in the month of September, this feast is celebrated with the blowing of trumpets—the shofar or ram’s horn. That is why it is also called the Feast of Trumpets. The Jews observe seven feasts: The Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles. The first four have been fulfilled literally by Jesus. He was the Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7), the bread of life (John 6:35) and the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. (1 Corinthians 15:20) And when Pentecost had fully come after His ascension, He sent us the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:1–4) So the next feast that we are waiting for Jesus to fulfill literally is the Feast of Trumpets. Why is this feast significant to us? Because when Jesus fulfills it, it means that we are going up to meet Him in the clouds! I am talking about the rapture of the church. When the trumpet sounds, “in the twinkling of an eye”, we who are alive will be changed. We will put on new bodies that will be like Jesus’! Those who are dead in Christ will rise and also receive new bodies. They will go up first followed by us who are alive, and we will all meet the Lord in the air. (1 Corinthians 15:51–55) This means that there is a possibility that you might not see death! The Bible says, “Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” (1 Thessalonians 4:17) It is one thing to happen to be alive, but quite another to remain alive. I believe that there is a generation of Christians who know the resurrection power of the Lord. They know how to walk in their inheritance and put off sickness and death until the coming of the Lord. My friend, may you be counted as one of them as you take the Lord Jesus and His finished work as your victory over sickness and death! Thought For The Day When the trumpet sounds, we who are alive will put on new bodies like Jesus'! http://www.josephprince.org/daily-grace/grace-inspirations/single/a-brand-new-body-at-the-blast-of-a-trumpet/ |
Chynwe:You are welcome dear... |
alBHAGDADI:Please i don't need your advice. What wrong did i do to you that am sharing the good news of Christ? You can as well promote your threads cos am not stopping you or anyone from doing so.. Nairaland is a public forum, you are free to resurrect your threads. I don't see how i am blocking your shine or anyone's ? About my sentence "Live and let's live" , if you don't know the meaning, please consult your dictionary to study the meaning of the words there..... It means live your life and allow me to live mine, cos in this case i didn't insult you or encroach in your space. I just promoted my threads cos i know that new people always come to the religious section to read, and you took it the wrong way that am pushing out meaningful threads. Which thread is more meaningful than the message of Christ? My advice to you is to always stay in your lane and mind your business, that way you will get along in life. I did not insult you neither did i encroach in your space, but you just jumped on me and started warning me. I don't like that one bit cos i always respect myself here and i don't bother people here, so respect me for that. People are different, so don't go about trying to impose your opinion on someone you don't know, i don't tolerate that. Have a nice day. |

alBHAGDADI:Please who are you? What concerns you with my threads? I hate people that can't mind their business. This is a public forum and you are free to posts threads. Have i for one day asked you to stop posting your threads? Since you find my threads as trash, why don't you ignore them? I just don't understand how people will just come from no where and start giving people orders.... Please stay on your lane. I mind my business here and i don't bother anyone, so please respect me for that.... Live and lets live, that's how the world works. |

"....when I see the blood I will pass over you;" NOT "when I see your works" "…And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt." Exodus 12:13. "...when I see the blood..." and not "when I see your law-keeping, fasts, seeds and good works." Wonderful as these things are, they can neither save nor help one escape the judgment that comes with breaking the Law, "For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are." Romans 3:20. Those who keep the Law to get right with God have no idea how much God hates sin, so much that if you stumble at just one point of the Law you are guilty of all! James 2:10. Can you imagine someone offering you a glass of clear, cold water with just a tiny amount of his poop in it? Would you drink it? This does not even compare to the abomination that one commits whenever he expects God to help or bless him because he "kept the Law," fasted or sowed a seed. Here, just one speck of sin is what it takes to undo an entire lifetime of keeping the Ten Commandments and be subject to the curse. And all have sinned. It takes Christ's blood, no more, no less, to escape judgment and be free from bondage. It takes only His blood to be saved. It didn't matter what the Israelites were doing in their houses on that night of the first Passover in Egypt. Look what Joshua told them after they entered the promised land - Joshua 24:14 “Now, therefore, fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord." Some were even serving foreign gods in Egypt! All that mattered was the blood. It is the redeeming power of the blood that makes us turn away from sin and idols, not human effort. Not works of the Law. The nine plagues only hardened Pharaoh's heart but he could not resist the blood. He sent the Israelites away to serve our God...with goodies! Only by our Saviour's shed blood can we be free indeed to go and serve God and in the way He wants us to. Whatever it is that holds you captive today - sins and addiction, foreign gods like money (mammon,) lack, sickness, fear, stress, stupid mistakes, even worrying about the content that your kids watch on TV, everything - His shed blood sets free from ALL bondage. He died our death. Like the nine plagues that hardened Pharaoh's heart, doing works of the Law in order to get right with God only strengthens that which holds us captive, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 15:56- "...the strength of sin is the Law." Our efforts at keeping the Law, an effort in futility, strengthens the grip of sin over our lives. Believers, we are not under Law but under Grace where sin shall not have dominion over us. Why give yourself over to another yoke of bondage to fear? Why be cut off from Christ because you are trying to get right with God by keeping the Law? " For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace." Galatians 5:4. This is the only way to get right with God: "For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous." Romans 5:17. We are made righteous by His blood, set free from the law of sin and death. With His gift of righteousness comes no condemnation (and thus the Accuser's accusations against us do not prosper.) It is Christ's "Neither do I condemn you" that makes us "Go and sin no more." YOU WILL NOT CONTINUE IN SIN. Let Him deal with how "all these things" including the grace to live right "shall be added unto you." JUST ASK, and even this, He gives us grace to do. Believe Right and you will Live Right. http://rightbelieving101..nl/2017/03/when-i-see-blood-i-will-pass-over-you.html?m=1 |
