getting me some cornerstone stocks soon as possible. ![]() May be a worthwhile medium to long term investment. What else is good guys? |
Hi guys, Please i need some advice. What do you think about investing in the insurance sector. Oceanic bank or Diamond Bank - which is a better buy? I read something on Dangote returning money invested in shares to the public. How do you get your share cert. or find out if you are one of the affected? |
@ izoneb n cheemoney "Anuli gtb " does not exsist. What is it goin to take to get you to see that? "Her story" is a classic case of over kill. She was trying too hard to be Anuli gtb but she couldn't fool some of us who understand human nature. |
alinco2:Alinco2, will do as soon as u get me their e mail adds. duttybarb:Yea yea duttybarb we know salaries drop after tax, thats why we want to know which nigerian bank pays best. Get? |
Tani carr i'm glad you've decided to take the advice offered on this site. Pls if you are ever in doubt or re- considering, go back and read davidylan's posts. Good luck and I hope you find happiness. |

@ Anuli GTB You sure u're Anuli and u work at GTB? Wondering why you're giving us so much info on yourself. Hope u aren't trying to defame anyone's character. ![]() Just a thought. |
Starry, i have just been invited for pre- employment medical by GTB and i have to say that your promising to let nairalanders know about recruitment at gtb is kinda giving a wrong impression. Gtb is currently recruiting staff. They always have about two groups of trainees in their training school. Do drop your cv at their head office, Oyin Jolayemi, VI, and if you meet the requirements, you'll be invited for a test which will be administered by kimberly ryan. Mind, the entire process, from application to training school may take over 3 months. Elampiro, i really appreciate your post. Please let us know whatever else you have to share on the banking industry. |
I'm addicted to fragrances. I've used quite a number and the ones that stood out are: Addict - Christian Dior. This is my all time fav. If you haven't come across it, do try to get it. Pleasures - Estee Lauder. This has been around for a long time and is still the bomb. Happy - Clinique. Very chic and understated. |
teesec, did u have a drop of something b4 typing your contribution? ![]() |
nikinash The reason citibank threw out those accounts is because they are not into retail banking. They deal primarily with corporations who invariably have larger bank balances than individuals. They probably feel they don't have much competition in that field and so do not have to live up to 'standard'. Nobody says you should wear an armani suit to an interview but by all means wear your everyday shirt ,trousers and probably your bathroom slippers, and expect the interviewer to be impressed by your inner beauty. I'm certain you'll clinch the job. YOU HAVE TO MAKE A GOOD 1ST IMPRESSION BECAUSE NOT EVERYBODY HAS THE TIME TO KNOW THE REAL YOU. |
I'm currently reading Irwin Shaw's Rich man, Poor Man. Beautiful Story. I also have the sequel - Beggarman, Thief close by. Has anyone read- Monsoon- and its sequel- Blue Horizon - by Wilbur Smith? Those books blew me away and I am not easily impressed. I'd definitely recommend them for anyone who enjoys a good Adventure novel with exotic locations like Zanzibar, The Turkish Caliphate, and Africa. There's a good mix of romance in it. This is for lagos-based nairalanders who love to read but can't afford to buy all the books they desire --- Visit Tejuosho Market in Yaba. There is a thriving book exchange market there. This is how it works: Go along with any one of your books and you can drop it off and pick any book of the same class for the little fee of 50 - 100naira. depends on your bargaining power and the state of both books. Its as easy as that. |
Thanks alinco2 |
mathematics, logical reasoning, General science info, medical info ie. identifying surgical instruments. Good luck |
@ dearie, Why is your appearance judged at interviews? Answer that and you'll understand why you should be wary of an organisation that cant even be bothered to keep up with other banks in the industry, aesthetics wise. Now, i'm not saying you should'nt apply, i just wanted to alert nairalanders as to what to expect. Citibank is an international bank. We expect a lot from them. Think twice before you make silly contributions to a forum like this. |
Was at citi bank to drop my cv and i have to say i was disappointed with the place. Anyone interested can drop their cv at Commerce House, Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island. Good luck |
i believe uba pays one of the lowest salaries in the industry. certainly not up to 2 mill. |
Funkie pls let us know the time and venue for the test |
i got the harry potter and the half blood prince dirt cheap in mumbai, india. its amazing how these indians have a copy of everything and so cheap too. Got it for 75 rupees thats about 400 naira ![]() |

Fellow nairalanders, any info on who kim-ryan held the test for on sat Aug 5th? Pls dont say GTB cos i know thats definitely false |
People, lets analyse these Nigerian banks: GTB, Access, Eco, Spring, Zenith. Anyone with information on remuneration, stress level, career development etc should feel free to comment. Please no pointless contributions are called for. |
angel o, i went to glo to submit my cv but was told to do so online. Is that wat its supposed to be? |
