The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has urged its 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination candidates to patiently await the results of the just concluded examinations .
The Head of Media of the Board, Dr Fabian Benjamin , stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday in Abuja.
He said the board was working diligently to ensure that the results are processed and posted on the board’ s website soonest .
Benjamin said that modalities were being put in place to ensure all the results are transparent and accurate .
He reiterated that the board was delaying some of the results because each has to undergo total scrutiny before being posted on its website to avoid cancellations later.
According to him, some of the results would be ready by Monday, March 19 .
He also assured that all technical difficulties encountered to access the website were being addressed .
Some of candidates who sat for the examinations earlier, were yet to receive their results .
While some said that they received the reply of “ your results are not ready yet” , others complained that the site says “ you did not register for this examination. ’’
The examination, which was scheduled to end on Saturday , March 17 , ended on Friday, March 16 .

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has directed candidates for the 2018 UTME to start printing their examination notification slip from Tuesday , March 6.
The board’ s Head of Media and Information Department, Dr Fabian Benjamin , said in Lagos on Sunday that arrangements had been concluded for the successful conduct of the exam scheduled to hold from March 9 to March 17 .
“ We have successfully conducted the Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME ) on Monday, February 26 , and based on that, we can confidently say , we are good to go .
“ The mock UTME was to expose the candidates to the process as well as test the level of preparedness of the various centres.
“ Candidates can now go ahead and print their examination notification slips from Tuesday .
“ These candidates must ensure that these slips are printed before Friday, March 9 , in order to familiarise themselves with the examination schedules as no form of excuse for missing the examination will be entertained.
“ We want to warn that the board will not reschedule any examination for anybody and so any candidate that fails to adhere strictly to the examination schedule as stated in their slips should have himself or herself to blame . ”
Benjamin , however, warned candidates not to go to their respective centres with prohibited items such as telephones , wristwatches, pens, and other devices.
NAN reports that over 1 . 6 million candidates are expected to write the examination in 602 centres across the country .

DrBESTJC:
JAMB ENGLISH.

Fill in the blank space with the correct option...

We hold that the nation, both in its public and private sectors,........the best consultancy service in all its endeavours.
A: deserve
B: is deserving
C: deserves
D: are deserving
E: richly deserve

Please I need explanations ooooo......English no be moi moi for jamb.......

In my own best knowledge of English, I think I will go for 'C'. The reason is that; the word the nation, which is singular in the context, attracts the verb 'deserves' . The word 'both in public and private sectors' is just an accomplice. It is called concord of subordinated subjects.
Education / Re: Only 24 Candidates In Zamfara Passed 2017 Nov/Dec NECO GCE by Jimmywale44(m): 7:01am On Jan 15, 2018
Please how true is this write up? Has it been released for real.
The National Examination Council (NECO) has announced the release of the 2017 November/December Senior School Certificate Examination results.
The Registrar of the Council, Charles Uwakwe, a professor, announced the results on Tuesday at its headquarters in Minna.
Mr. Uwakwe said that a total of 42, 985 candidates registered for the examination and 42, 429 wrote the examination in 28 subjects.
He said 24, 098 candidates representing 56.79 per cent had five credits and above.
The registrar said that 32, 917 candidates representing 77.58 per cent had five credits irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.
Mr. Uwakwe explained that 32, 701 candidates representing 78.82 per cent had credit and above in Mathematics.
He said that 29, 258 candidates representing 70 per cent had credits and above in English Language.
According to him, 4,425 candidates, representing 10.43 per cent were involved in examination malpractice.
The registrar noted that the number represented 5.9 per cent reduction in examination malpractice compared to 2016 record.
Mr. Uwakwe said that the results were released on time to enable candidates who needed them for the admission for 2017/2018 academic session.
“It will please the general public to know that this is the first time the council is releasing result of Nov/Dec SSCE results barely 38 days after the test.
“The early and timely release of the 2017 Nov/Dec SSCE result is in line with the council new work ethos that borders on efficient service delivery,” he said.
Mr. Uwakwe said that the feat was possible as a result of deployment of improved logistics that ensured appropriate standards.
He urged the candidates to access their results on NECO Website – www.mynecoexams.com, using their examination registration numbers and the council approved result checker.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ogun State was best in performance of the 2017 SSCE Nov/Dec. Examination.
Ogun had a percentage of 91. 42 per cent of candidates had five credits and above followed by Akwa – Ibom with 87.97 per cent and Oyo with a percentage of 86.90 per cent.

Adamawa is the third on 464 cases of examination malpractice, representing 10.48 per cent.

MFM or Oke-odo is okay. The electricity stability is second to none, unless u have off. Concerning the proximity, I guess it's okay since any bus stop is #50. but if u want to be seeing the school gate from ur hostel, u can go to Stella Maris

All admission seekers should please disregard that list, as it did not emanate from the University.
The University of Ilorin has not released any list neither has it authorized anybody to do so.
Only the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) can contact admi tted candidates through their individual portals and not by way of a comprehensive list. So, candidates should continue to check JAMB’s CAPS Platform for any information on their admission status.
