Lol , answer the question, why beg for ruga ? , why not just buy the lands instead, cause one fulani man can buy the entire south east , 6 fulani men can buy the entire Nigeria? Or is turning to bandit's better?

Igala people occupy Nzam, Inoma, Owelle, Ukwala, Ala, Odomagwu, Udi, Igbokenyi, Igbedor, Onugwa and Odegbe in Anambra state but they have never been governor, deputy governor, commissioner or anything in Anambra’s political space.

It's time to correct the wrongs of the governmental composition of the Anambra State... The igala man and woman are bonafide indigenous people of Anambra State and deserve the chance to partake in governance in Anambra State.

The unhealthy and unethical marginalisation must stop 🛑

IGALA:THE PLIGHT OF IGALA PEOPLE IN ANAMBRA STATE BY VICTOR O EKELE.

lgala is an ethnic group In Nigeria with over ten million population as of now. The home of the Igala people is situated east of the river Niger and Benue confluence and astride the Niger.

The Igala people shares boundaries with the Igbo's(ibo) people at the south, Idoma at the east, Benis people at the west and Ebira people at the north.

The Igala people are found in Kogi state with 55 percent of kogi state population and also found in Anambra state, Enugu state, Edo state and Delta state.

The Igala people which are found in the Anambra west are mostly Mmiata Anam, Umuoba-Abegbu Anam, Umuenwelum Anam, Oroma-Etiti,Umueze Anam, Umudora Anam, Umuikwu Anam, Inoma-Akator, Nzam, Igbedor and Iyiora Anam all from the family of Ogbe the descendants of General Ajida, a notable warrior of Idah origin(Idah is traditional headquarters of Igala kingdom) Ajida is the father of field marshal Ogbe who was married to Iyida.

The family of ogbe and other Anambra west villages. Anam, Anako, and Akpanam people have recently neglected their real tribe Igala which was the language they were speaking originally as their mother tongue before the Nigeria civil war.

As a Igala tribe in an Igbo state, it is very difficult because Anambra state government has made it compulsory for all the school to speak igbo(ibo) language through out which sometime makes it difficult for Igala young ones to speak Igala.

Igala people in Anambra west are making a lot of mistakes now because some of them are giving Igbo's names to their children rather than Igala names. They know that they are Igala people but the Anambra west generations of youths does not really knows who there are rather they thinks they are igbo because most of them bears Igbo names.

The history of Nzam are traces back to descendants of General Ajida, a notable warrior of Idah origin who came to the town. Ajida is the father of field marshal Ogbe who was married to Iyida. He was the first settler of the present place Ogbe area of Anambra west.

In my interview with a man called chinedu Idoko an indigene of the land. I asked him about himself and his tribes and also his names.
This was his replies, "my names is chinedu Idoko, I am an Igala man, but I bears igbo names while my father names Idoko Atama an Igala names. I was given the names after the Nigeria civil war in in 1971."

Speaking further to chinedu:
Why are you people in this Generation doesn't want to give Igala names to your children again? "I don't know maybe it is because we are living in Anambra an Igbo state. But we still speak our Igala language as our mother tongue".

Most youths in Anambra who are bearing Igbo names and some times are not living in Anambra west will thinks that there are igbos not knowing there are Igala people.
Their land has lack development and government neglection. The only roads that links their town is not something we might talks about because it is not good.

They are the least undeveloped area in Anambra state lacking many facilities after my research.

Nzam people must know their origin and try to preserve their origins before it dies off.

An advice to Ogbe family of Anambra west. Stop given your children Igbo names and teach your children how to speak Igala.

Do you know that the king of Nzam originally was called Ide of Nzam. Which means the Guardian of Nzam people. Ide means Guardian in igala not igwe now they are calling them.

Politics › Re: Igbos And The Do Not Rush For Referendum Attitude by jimyjames(m): 3:34pm On Mar 29, 2023
1nice:
Igbos are patient and do not want to rush the process of Referendum because they are waiting for the outcome of Presidential Tribunal ruling to know whether it will favour Peter Obi and declared Obi the authentic winner of the February 25th Presidential Election.

Asking for referendum is not a crime under the Nigeria constitution, likewise protests by Nigerians.

The igbos from the south east region of Nigeria have spoken that If Peter Obi lose out of the Presidential Tribunal ruling that igbos will surely have their own country called the Republic of Biafra through referendum and special duty tasks force compulsory disassociation from the Nigeria state.

From all indication it shows the igbos wanted to remain in Nigeria but the igbos have complained of the out of control of some Nigeria Politicians who are looting the igbos resources with out the igbos knowing about it and the indisciplined action of preventing an Igbo person from becoming the President Of Nigeria.

The igbos have also concluded plans to sue all those that participated in the Biafra genocide of closed to two millions children who died in Nigeria - Biafra civil war in ICC and federal high court of Nigeria.

60% of the igbos have decided to wait for the President Tribunal ruling to determine what will happen next: next line of actions of the igbos in Nigeria and abroad.

The igbos are saying All Hail Biafra!

Oga you are just being clever by half, the civil war was between biafra vs Nigeria army ... the battle ground was the East
The civilians whether yoruba or hausa play no part in it, Igbos don't have the numbers so igbo civilians were also recruited to carry guns.
IGBos were fighting for a selfish course i.e secession at that time you can't compare that to june 12 annullment yorubas fought for in 1993 becos every nigerian would have enjoyed a democratic administration unlike the military rule.

Awolowo did not betray the IGbos, on the contrary it was Igbos that betray Awolowo to support shagari NPN, and it's still transient to date. the East prefer to play the opposition to the west at every chance they get.
History is there for anyone to verify let nobody misinform the public
Lol the civilians whether hausa or Yoruba played no part in it ? Nigeria had only about 6 thousand troops when the war started , Nigerian troops grew to 200 thousand and more during the the war , where did the numbers come from? Civilians , most of them were hurriedly trained and recruited within one week

Igbos were fighting for a selfish course? 30 thousand are more Igbos and easterners were killed and chased away from other part of Nigeria back to east , and the easterners felt they were no longer wanted in Nigeria it's better to create their own country, Nigerians from those places where they killed and chased out Igbos and other easterners, united and matched down to east wage a war of people the sent away , and you call that selfishness on the part of Biafrans?

Awolowo was the right hand man of gowon during the civil war , we know the evil part he played in the war

You are trying to rewrite history.

- Igbos led the coup.
- Igbo leaders escaped (Azikwe went on a phoney vacation)
- Easterners (even those living in the North celebrated the coup)
- An Igbo man was the beneficiary of the coup as he became head of state.
- Firing squad was never meted out to the leaders of the coup.
It was never an igbo coup that was why gowon took nzeogwu's body and gave him a heroic burial in kaduna where he killed almadu Bello , even though nzeogwu died a Biafran

I really feel sorry for innocent ibos, it is slowpokes like you that make them a victim of your own stupidity. Are you insinuating, by that the North were celebrating the murder of Ahmadu Bello & Tafawa balewa, as the West did celebrate the murder of Akintola and other top ranking military officers of Yoruba extraction?. Dude, you must be very sick. Try and slow down on the lies and revisionism lest you the lives of your kinsmen at further risks.
Of course they celebrated, and nobody came out to kill Igbos in the north or anywhere else until months later when the media made it to be igbo coup

Actions and reactions.

Majorly Igbos soldiers started a coup in January 1996. A coup where the Eastern leaders were spared while Western and Northern leaders were killed.

Still Yorubas looked sideways.

Anyway, It was a Igbo and Hausa/Fulani affair; hence, why the revenge coup latter that year targeted Igbo officers and the pogrom began.
The revenge was on the Igbos cause the media made it an igbo coup , just because Igbos led the coup doesn't make it an igbo coup , cause back then Igbos were always the ones taking the bulls by the horns to try and make a change in every situation

An indomie generation that wasn't born at the time of civil war is here telling us what no one had never read in all accounts of civil war history. Would you be kind enough to refer us to the account where Ibos were killed in their numbers in SW, it would be interesting to read how Yorubas were slaughtering ibo civilians in SW. I don't know why you decided to hide such a book inside your father's house rather than make it available in the national archives.
What happened in 1966 was not a civil war , civil war started in 1967 , the genocide against Igbo civilians happened all over Nigeria including south west 1966, in south west when the northern soldiers were going from one neighborhood to another killing Igbos the Yoruba's helped them in pointing out who were Igbos and who was not , even on roadblock , and they rejoiced over it , just like they are rejoicing now after what happened in Lagos during election
