What back ground check do you want to do if I may ask? When you are ready to inspect and make payments, you'd have access to original documents for your perusal to prove they are genuine.
Fair enough but please kindly enlighten me as to why you hid the number.

Why you should you cover the number plates of a vehicle? Don't you think a buyer might like to start doing a background check with the number?
Hiding the number plate calls for suspicion!

Nairaland / General / 5 Simple Things To Make You Smarter This Year by jkingx(m): 10:39am On Jan 09, 2016
This is when you hear of new year resolution, decisions, strategies and plans to make the new year better than the previous one but rarely hear people talk of how they want to be smarter.

It’s the time of the year again when most people get on their marks, set and ready to take off on the rat race for the year. For many, especially Christian folks, the 'go' shot or whistle is at the end of their prayer and fasting program which starts with the new year and could last anything from 7 to 40 days. For many others of different faith or no faith, the race starts any time.

Wether you have fully kick-started your year or still marking time, here are five very simple tips to help and improve your odds of achieving your goals by making you smarter.

SPEND LESS TIME ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND GOSSIP FORUMS.
If you stop to take a look at how much time you spend on social media everyday beginning from the moment you open your eyes in the morning and reach for your devices till they dropped from you hands when your sleep off in the night, you will be shocked at the amount of time you waste.

There are lots of educative sites and and web resources to develop yourself. Look for them and get smarter learning something new everyday rather that dulling your brain with social media gossips.

BE AROUND SMARTER AND MORE PRODUCTIVE PEOPLE
The old saying, ‘show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are’ is still true. According to experts, 'your IQ is the average of five closest people you hang out with'. Improve your smartness by being with people smarter than yourself. It’s easy to be threaten by others intelligent, develop inferiority complex and avoid them but that exactly is what you should avoid.

If you look around and you are the smartest among your circle, then do some major change of friendships and associations. Change your friends and try to meet and relate with people smarter and more successful not to be a parasite but to learn from them.

DEVELOP OR RE-IGNITE THE HABIT OF READING.
It’s sad that we hardly read these days but if you want to be smarter and make better progress, you’ve got to be a reader. Make use of some of the time you freed off from social media to read. Newspapers, ebooks, novels, professional books, just read! It will boost your brain power and make you smarter.

PLAY CHESS, SCRABBLE AND SOLVE PUZZLES.
Yes, chess is a highly mental stimulating game and scrabble too. Get a chess set or scrabble board and look for folks who play. This is one excellent way to meet and make new friends with people smarter than you and keep your brain constantly fit and sharp.

LEARN TO ENJOY SOLITUDE AND QUIETNESS
As inconsequential as this may seem, this is a very important and powerful factor for brainpower development and success. According to Blaise Pascal, ‘All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone.’

You may not be able to practice yoga or some other forms of meditations and mindfulness but by all means learn to shut out the world every now and then and be alone. Such times allows you to reflect, connect with Higher power and hear from God. When you learn to sit still without smartphones, tablets, computers, music and television, you will discover one of the biggest secrets of health, wealth and happiness.

Nairaland / General / An Unsung Military Hero And The First Black African To Win A Gold Medal. by jkingx(m): 6:48am On Dec 30, 2015
This article is not about blacks’ achievements. It is about blacks’ ignorance and in this case, black Africas’ ignorance and particularly, Nigerians’ ignorance.

I like to consider myself quite well read across a broad spectrum of interests but I can’t clearly remember coming across this information in any educational book or even work of fiction except perhaps a book like “Why We Struck” which I read as a secondary schoolboy. On several occasions when privileged and honored to talk with senior citizens I had gotten surprising information about the history of Nigeria and Africa that make me wonder and ask why they were never taught in schools?

Maybe I’m the ignorant one here and not quite as well read as I thought, though I strongly doubt it. Anyway here’s what I recently learnt about the good old notebook (pictured below) or exercise book as we call it back in our primary school days.

I never particularly liked the graphics but that notebook was in honor of Emmanuel Arinze Ifeajuna (1935–25 September 1967). According to Wikipedia, born in Onitsha, he was a Nigerian army major and high jumper. He was the first Black African to win a gold medal at an international sports event when he won gold medal at the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. At the 1954 Games in Vancouver, he competed wearing only his left shoe yet managed to clear 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m), which was both a Games record and a British Empire record for the discipline. The resulting gold medal made him the first Black African to win at a major international sports competition. In his honor, his image was later used for the front cover of a national exercise book for Nigerian students.

Now a little more about him. Dissatisfied with the direction his country had taken during the First Nigerian Republic under Prime Minister Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Ifeajuna became a conspirator in an Igbo-led plot to overthrow the government. At some point during the Nigerian civil war, Ifeajuna, Victor Banjo, Phillip Alale and Sam Agbam began negotiating with the federal Nigerian officials, via British agents, hoping to bring about a ceasefire, overthrow Ojukwu, and gain prominent positions for themselves. Ojukwu uncovered this plot and sentenced the four to death by firing squad for treason. Ifeajuna claimed the plan was to preserve civilian life in Enugu from an oncoming assault by federal troops. Ifeajuna and his three co-conspirators were executed on 25 September 1967. Enugu, the Biafran capital, was captured by federal Nigerian forces two days later vindicating him, I guess.

Emmanuel Arinze Ifeajuna has not featured prominently or favourably in the history of the Nigerian Civil War. While fellow 1966 coup maker Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu has been decorated as a war hero and had a statue erected in his hometown, Ifeajuna has received little or no posthumous recognition. Upon his death in 2011, former Biafran leader Ojukwu who lead some 100,000 soldiers to their death and close to two million civilians who died of starvation, fled the country, received the highest military accolades from Nigeria and his funeral was attended by the then Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan.

Isn’t it ironic?

Nairaland / General / Childhood Memories Of Christmas by jkingx(m): 9:21am On Dec 26, 2015
Yeah! Christmas is here again and gone!
It’s a time for joy and celebrations, for soberness and reflections, for wining and dining, for constipation and indigestion, and for some group, for too much booze and nasty hangovers.

I remember when we were little, Christmas just won’t come soon enough. The moment the harmattan haze begin to appear sometimes as early as late September or October, often quickly followed by the dust and cold, we painstakingly began our countdown to Christmas and every now and again sneak to look at our Christmas outfits often carefully kept away in some supposedly hidden place by mum with a stern warning not to look for them or touch them.

Christmas finally came and for us kids, the eating start on the eve of Christmas when the goat, chickens and turkeys are being prepared. We gorge ourselves all we can and the next 12 to 8 ours before daybreak on Christmas day is like another eternity. Finally, morning comes and we get a chance to put on our new cloths and shoes. The shoes are often too tight and our dresses a little tight or short; perhaps because there were bought a month or two earlier to avoid price hike that goes with Christmas. Off we go off to the neighbors’ house where we are offered more food and drinks. We’d accept, try to eat a little rice and definitely the meat or chicken and sodas which were/are known as ‘minerals’, many times get some small cash gift and off to the next neighbor we go. Later we would team up with our little friends and continue our visitations together, sometimes going to the zoo, cinemas or some parks to see ‘father Christmas’. There were masquerades called ‘kwa hi’ that comes out later in the afternoon and move from street corners to street corners and from house to house performing and entertaining crowds that will always gathers to watch and often follow the troupe to the next place they would play and dance. Ours was a society with little or no awareness of class, religious or tribal differences.

It was usually a very merry and fun filled day by the end of which most of us kids end up exhausted and woke up with indigestion. Our bellies bloated and giving up foul smelling gas each time we fart or belch. Mum would be very upset while she looks for remedies to fix us again. Thing is that Christmas always seem to come and go too soon leaving us with another long wait for the next Christmas and the not too thrilling realization that school was a reopening in the new year.

I guess we all have our fun childhood memories of those innocent years. It’s an honor and a privilege given by the Most High to celebrate another Christmas, reminisce on those memories and the feeling of nostalgias they brings.
Christmas is a beautiful season of joy and peace, so strong it’s in the air everywhere and there is nothing the devil or his agents including terrorist can do about it.

I wish you a merry Christmas, all they joy of the season and a prosperous new year ahead.

Nairaland / General / Why Are Blacks So Behind Economically? by jkingx(m): 5:00am On Dec 01, 2015
http://bluestocker.com/why-are-blacks-so-behind-economically/

A friend forwarded the material below about blacks to me on WhatsApp and I thought the truth of it is worth sharing. It is supposed to be excerpts from an interview with a Jewish leader about Blacks. I don’t know if it is a fictional or factual interview but it sure is food for serious thought for anyone not scared to face truths.

INTERVIEWER: Why are Blacks so behind economically?

JEWISH LEADER: The only aspect blacks understand is Consumption. Blacks don’t understand the importance of building wealth.

The fundamental rule is to keep your money within your racial group. We build Jewish business, hire Jewish, buy Jewish and spend Jewish.

There is nothing wrong with that but it is a basic rule blacks cannot comprehend and follow;

“He kills his fellow blacks daily instead of wanting to see his fellow black do well” 93% of blacks killed in America are by other blacks.

Their leaders steal from their people and send the money back to their colonial master from whom they borrow the same money from.

Every successful black want to spend his money in the country of his colonial masters.

They go on holiday abroad, buy houses abroad, school abroad etc. instead of spending this money in their own country to benefit their people.

Statistics show that the Jew’s money exchanges hands 18 times before leaving his community while for blacks it is probably a maximum of once or even zero.

Only 6% of black money goes back into their community. This is why Jews are at the top and blacks are at the bottom of every ladder of society.

Instead of buying Louis Vuitton, Hermes, expensive cars, shoes, houses, dresses etc, blacks could industrialize Africa, build banks and get rid of colonial institutions by putting them out of business.

INTERVIEWER: Your thoughts on failure of blacks after 150yrs?

JEWISH LEADER: Well, nothing is ever the Blackman’s fault. His compulsive habit of killing his own, compulsive material consumption.

His inability to build businesses or preserve wealth are usually somebody else’s fault.

INTERVIEWER: So what can blacks do to liberate themselves

JEWISH LEADER: Blacks must take responsibility. Blacks must unite.

And vehemently fight corrupt leaders who run down their country and run to IMF as though IMF is father Christmas

Nairaland / General / Crying For France And Weeping For Africa by jkingx(m): 4:47am On Nov 15, 2015
I logged into Facebook this night and saw temporary profile pictures of people with the the French flag as watermark over the entire picture as solidarity for France in this moment of grief. I was following the news since Friday night when the news of the horror broke across the networks and I cry for the innocent souls lost and the grief stricken loved ones. For one moment, I busted with pride at the show of solidarity from world leaders, governments and ordinarily individuals from across the globe for France. I remember a similar scenario played out after the Charlie Hebdo massacre. It looks like there is still a common streak of humanitarian sympathy that runs through people that are still ‘sane’ and not utterly consumed or sympathetic to religious hatred and terrorism.

Wait a minute. Is it possible that there is a semblance of common humanitarian streak still left in us? Maybe there is; only it’s manifestation seem to be determined by certain factors! I can’t recall seeing the kind of solidarity for France displayed when hundreds are continually massacred by terrorist in Nigeria and elsewhere in Africa. Let’s not even bother about the middle east which is the home and birthplace of religious colored hatred and terrorism. Yes, I don’t see anything like the display of solidarity given to France. Don’t get me wrong. My heart is absolutely with France but still, I got me thinking.

Is it that the life of say a French man is more valuable that a bush and illiterate Nigerian Villagers? Or that killings and massacres in Nigeria and other African towns and villages are so common place that they don’t count any more? Maybe after all, some men are more equal than others but they say what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

I’m not and will never be the prophet of doom but I’ll tell you something. Europe might be in for a historic nightmare! Europe is mostly Christian that believes in ‘love thine enemies’! Right? While Islam say ‘kill everybody including your family members, friends or neighbors if they believe differently from you! So they (Europe), with gullibility, opened there gate and arms to welcome ‘refugees’ who have been suffering and have managed to escape from the Syrian war and need love blah blah blah…! I have no doubt that the vast majority of these ‘refugees’ or migrants were indeed refugees but even at that, I wondered; How are we sure that the same people who brutally execute innocent people on TV are not part of the ‘migrants crowd’? How do we know that there are no extremist and fundamentalists who are just time bombs in the mix of migrants? Europeans may be gullible enough to see everybody with the Christian eyes of love but I don’t believe Europeans security agencies are so stupid as to not figure out the possibilities the kind of people in the migrants’ crowd. But what could they do about it? I don’t know! If they didn’t know what to do or willing to do it, it doesn’t matter. What matters now is that Europe is a disaster waiting to happen.

As we cry with France, I weep for Africa because no one really give a hoot about the lives of Africans!

Family / When Are Children Ready To Start School? by jkingx(m): 8:06am On Nov 13, 2015
http://bluestocker.com/when-are-children-ready-to-start-school/

“how can I not be weird when my childhood was stolen from me”

The above was a statement made by the late legendary Michael Jackson at the 93 Grammy award.

It’s beautiful to see little children going off to school on their first day of preschool. They look so cute in their new often oversized uniforms and lunch box. Soon after a baby’s first birthday, many parents begin to wonder when their little baby will be ready for school and start preschool hunting.

Most preschools will start accepting children at around age 2 ½, but does that mean a child is automatically ready for preschool by that age. I think a child readiness should be more a function of a his or her level of development socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. These will determine is the child is ready to participate in a daily, structured, educational program with a group of other children?

A considerable body of evidence clearly indicates the crucial importance of play in young children’s development, the value of an extended period of playful learning before the start of formal schooling, and the damaging consequences of starting the formal learning of literacy and numeracy too young.”

A Cambridge University psychologist says children in Britain are starting school too early, suggesting those who delay formal education until six or seven get better results

In Britain, large numbers of children are being identified as “behind” before they even start school in most other countries, he said.

He said there was no evidence to support claims that “earlier is better”, insisting that children needed more time to play in the early years.

A study from Stanford University shows that Danish kids who postponed kindergarten for up to one year showed dramatically higher levels of self-control. delaying kindergarten for one year reduced inattention and hyperactivity by 73% for an average child at age 11.

Countries like Finland and Germany already start school relatively late. Kids do not seem to fare worse later in life for the lost time, otherwise known as childhood:

Developmental psychology research emphasizes the importance of imaginative play in aiding children’s emotional and intellectual self-regulation. “Children who delay their school starting age may have an extended (and appropriately timed) exposure to such playful environments,” the study noted.

Though it is nice and make parents see their kids graduate from high school (secondary school) and consequently college (universities) early, it may overall leave them with all kinds of emotional social and mental issues later in life as adults. So dear parents, resist the temptation to send your babies of to preschool and formal schooling too soon because everybody is sending theirs wards to school or because the regulations say so. Home school your kids till you know they are ready. Give them some basic training like potty training, washing his hands after painting, eating his lunch without assistance, and sleeping alone. If possible, let them gradually begin to learn to be away from you for a while like a day with their grannies or your sister's.

Politics / Boko Haram: December Deadline And Big Oil In The Chad Basin. by jkingx(m): 8:48am On Nov 11, 2015
http://bluestocker.com/boko-haram-december-deadline-and-big-oil-in-the-chad-basin/

The Boko haram menace have a dozen conspiracy theories. I consider myself a realist and a pragmatist. I’m more inclined to think scientifically and so not much a fan of conspiracy theories but one can’t help coming across them every now and again in this information over-loaded age.

Here are a few of the conspiracy theories making the rounds in the past couple of years over the Boko haram issues.

Boko haram is a covert CIA Operation.
The French connection in collusion with Chad.
Northern Elites are trying to make the country ungovernable for Goodluck Jonathan
Then President Goodluck Jonathan was using Boko Haram to garner public sympathy as part of his second term strategy
Boko Haram is an islamization strategy
Boko haram is an enriching scheme for the military high command and northern power brokers
Like I said earlier, I’m not a fan of conspiracy theories and Sci-Fi’s but I had to stop and think a couple of days ago when the The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, stated that the country is on the verge of discovering significant quantity of oil in the Lake Chad area, North-East Nigeria. I recall that there is a presidential directive that the military must end boko haram activities by December 2015.

Now wait a minute, is this all coincidence? Big Oil find by December, Boko haram to end by December, conspiracy theories of power tussles both internally and internationally, political involvement and even religious overtones? I don’t believe in coincidences. Ever heard of chaos theory? Even in the mist of a most chaotic situation, there is a perfect order of things at play.

I think it’s time Nigerians really stop bickering and asking questions and time the government start telling us the truth. Will we ever know the truth?
Hello somebody!

Nairaland / General / What Happened To Those Childhood Dreams? by jkingx(m): 1:42am On Nov 09, 2015
“The fear that is within you now that seems to never end,
and the dreams that have escaped you and the hope that you’ve forgotten,”

When I was little, I dreamt of being several things. I wanted to be a soldier, a musician, a pilot, an engineer, a business tycoon! I had a reason for each dream. I love the military. That is a passion that has not faded with time. I wanted to be a musician; not as a career! As a child, I didn’t even know that people make money as musician. I was just dreaming of how nice it will be to make my own music and share it with the world. I wanted to be a pilot because I dreamt of distant lands and though that being a pilot will make it possible and easier for me to travel around the world. I changed my mind when I realized it was the idea of a military fighter pilot I liked. Flying a passenger plane did not hold much appeal to me as I thought it would be boring. I wanted to be an engineer because I was curious about how things work. I destroyed a lot of stuff in the house and nearly electrocute myself a few times. Then I wanted to be a business tycoon because I liked the word tycoon and because we didn’t have much money, I wanted to have a lot of money so I could give a bunch of it away to help others. For one brief moment I even considered being a doctor but quickly woke up from that dream as I don’t like to see people suffering.
I was always terrified of failure in life. Maybe I’m ‘lucky’ or something, but many years later, I’m living some of the dreams in some ways; I’m an engineer, play the keyboard and write songs, and maybe not a tycoon yet, but certainly an entrepreneur and business man.
Girl dreamingI believe every little child dreamt or dreams of greatness. I believe that those dreams were given by the Almighty in those golden age of innocence when we are most in tune with our Maker and limitations simply did not exist. I don’t believe any child dream of being a criminal, mediocre or failures in life. One question that has always troubled me is, what happen to those dreams? Why do many people never live any of their dreams?
I have spent a good deal of time reading, learning and observing. The reasons and excuses for failures can be as diverse as the individuals who failed to be all they could be. In subsequent articles, I’ll try to share my experiences and insights into why some people fail and some succeed but in the mean time, stop and think about your childhood dreams then ask yourself if you’re living them. If not, ask yourself why not?

Nairaland / General / Morning People, Night People by jkingx(m): 6:33am On Nov 05, 2015
http://bluestocker.com/morning-people-night-people/

If I have my way, I wouldn’t get out of bed before 10am! I rarely have my way on this except for an occasional weekend or public holiday. As a little boy, my most persistent grouse with my dad was about my not getting out of bed if I could help it. Decades later as a father myself, waking up in the morning is still my most difficult task of the day! My happiest and most productive hours are late in the night with my average bed time usually between 2am and 3am!
Anyone like me out there? I’ll bet my dinner there are lots of us. Are you a morning person, also referred to as, early riser and lark or are you a night person, aka, night owl and night crawler? There is a good chance you already know or have a fair idea.
Broadly speaking, morning people are those who wake up early, kick-start the day early and hit the sack early at night. Night people hate the alarm clock in the morning! Why for goodness sake will office hours start 8am or 9am? But they stay up either working or playing late into the night or till the wee hours of the morning! Of course, there are two additional group that don’t somehow fit either very well; Those who rise early and stay up late and those who rise up late and retire early!
None may be better than the other as the two chronotypes have there pros and cons. Here are some interesting findings about morning people and night people.

1. MORNING PEOPLE ARE MORE TEAM PLAYERS AND PROACTIVE.
Studies have shown that morning people are more proactive. They are the ones who will get to work early and pick up the unfinished tasks of yesterday. They are generally more of team players and agreeable than night owls.
2. MORNING PEOPLE PROCRASTINATE LESS THAT NIGHT OWLS.
This is not much surprising considering the fact that morning people start their days earlier, they seem to get more done and less tendencies to procrastinate. They are also more of conformist that night people. Night owls will struggle with work in the morning and if they could, will keep pushing some task forward.
3. EARLY TO BED NOT HEALTHIER, WEALTHIER OR WISER
Remember that nursery rhyme? It was advocate by Benjamin franklin and it seem to make sense but it also seemed to have gotten some scientist angry (perhaps they were night owls) and in 1998 concluded a research which shows that Night owls actually, generally fare better financially.
4. NIGHT CRAWLERS ARE GENERALLY SMARTER
Remember those students back in school who will hang out almost every night and party whenever the opportunity is there and who never have ‘carry-overs’? From the school environment to the work place, plenty of studies have shown that night people on the whole, are generally smarter than morning people.
A lark v. owl study published some years ago looked more closely at the question of brains. Psychologist Richard D. Roberts of the University of Sydney and Patrick C. Kyllonen of the Air Force Research Lab, measured the chronotype of 420 test participants then gave them two intelligence tests. Together the tasks measured vocational knowledge (e.g. mechanics and engineering), general math and reading comprehension, and working memory and processing speed.
The results, though not overwhelming, did come down slightly on the side of evening types. Night owls outperformed morning larks on most of the intelligence measures—with significant differences on working memory and processing speed. Especially interesting was that the finding seemed to hold up even when the cognitive tests were taken in the morning.
“The results indicate that, contrary to conventional folk wisdom, evening-types are more likely to have higher intelligence scores,” Roberts and Kyllonen reported in a 1999 issue of Personality and Individual Differences. Wise old owl, indeed.
5. NIGHT PEOPLE ARE MORE OF PLAYERS
Surprised? I didn’t invent the idea. For some reason, night people seem to be more playboys and female seem to have more romantic partners. Don’t get it wrong, the researches were not about clubbers but night owls generally. Night people are also more of the infidelity type than larks.
6. NIGHT OWLS SEEM TO USE SUBSTANCE MORE
Night owls generally use more alcohol, coffee, cigarettes or other substance than morning people. What is not clear to researchers is whether evening people are more inclined to partake because they’re already out late, or whether the addictive behaviors—at least in the case of a stimulant like cigarettes, coffee or alcohol—keep them up longer in the first place.
7. MORNING PEOPLE ARE GENERALLY HAPPIER
Conventional daytime expectations and nighttime preference might make life harder for owls in general. Social scientists call this outcome “social jet lag”: evening types that force themselves to wake up early and perform at their peak during the day might cause themselves some sleep loss and emotional distress. They might also be less happy as a result. Researchers found that morning people had higher positive affect across the board, compared with night people.
8. NIGHT PEOPLE ARE MORE PRONE TO STRESS RELATED HEALTH ISSUES
I guess it won’t be too hard to figure out why.

Family / Make Him Love And Respect You by jkingx(m): 9:17am On Nov 03, 2015
http://bluestocker.com/make-him-love-and-respect-you/

In my last post, I explained ten things a man can do to earn the love and respect of his woman. I believe there are men who don’t think they should earn the respect of their women but the truth is respect is earned not demanded. Today I want to share my thoughts on how a woman can earn her husbands love and respects.
Men and women are wired differently. Women are generally more emotional than men while men are more rational than women. In other words, women use their hearts more while men use more of their head in decision making. Non is better than the other. Certain things are common to both men and women as we all operate with a mix of emotions and logic in different degrees depending on our personality types. However, what makes a woman loves and respect her man could be different from what make a man love and respect his woman. It’s very common to hear women say things like “since he married me, he doesn’t love or respect me again” or “since he slept with me he just doesn’t care anymore” or “ever since he began to make a lot of money, he just changed” or “my husband doesn’t discuss any of his plans with me”. Every relationship whether a marital one or not is uniquely different and there could be a million different reason why two women could be faced with the same attitude from their man.

The truth is, there are a million men out there who adores and respect their women, trust and seek their their opinions and input in almost any matter. So here are a few of my thoughts on how to earn the love and respect of your man. Like in everything, balanced and wisdom is the key here.
TEN WAYS TO EARN YOUR MAN’S LOVE AND RESPECTS

1. DON’T PUT ANYONE BEFORE HIM OR PUT HIM DOWN
This is serious, a lot of women put their clergy before their men. Some their bosses, some their parents or even friends. I think many women don’t do it deliberately to spite their men. Many times they think the man will understand that it’s just church or the friend needs her or something. In order not to pick fights or appear petty, a man may ignore or put up with such situation but it always spells disaster as he’ll be silently hurting, resenting and losing his love and respect for you.
2. NEVER FLEX YOUR MUSCLE WITH A MAN
Whether verbally or physically, it’s always never a good idea to try physical strength with a man. Doing that has caused some women, physical harm and some their lives and either the men’s life too or prison. These may be extreme consequences but even when a man never hits you or have a verbal war with you, physical and verbal aggression toward a man will always make a man despise a woman sooner or later.
3. NEVER EARN HIS DISTRUST
‘I was charging my phone” or “the battery was dead” simple and innocent as these excuses may be to explain something’s away, you may be surprised how many times a man puts two and two together, know you are lying and out the windows goes his trust for you. Now think of ‘serious’ issues in which you are not straightforward or plainly lying and think the man doesn’t know. Once a man can’t trust you, forget respect from him.
4. NEVER CHEAT ON YOUR MAN
“But men cheat all the time. Right?” Well look at all history and all generations from kings to peasants, that’s what men do and the society even applaud us. I’m not saying it’s ok or opening a debate on that issue now. An unfaithful woman? I don’t think anything make a woman more despicable to her man that, even if she remains his woman. This is a whole topic of it’s own but trust me on this, every man dreads his woman sleeping with another man. Men can’t handle even the thought it not to talk of if it happens and he knows it. Many a life have been lost due to women’s infidelity and even if the worst didn’t happen and the relationship didn’t end, count out love and respect from your man.
5. BE DECENT AND MODEST IN YOUR DRESSING
OK. We love those hot legs, butts trying to rip the cloth apart and half of the boobs and cleavages uncovered and like to feast our eyes on them covertly or openly and unashamedly, only little problem is we don’t like our women sharing hers with the public and the eyes of other men! Here in Africa, friends and family can vehemently oppose a man marrying a woman who is always indecently dressed. “Arh! What is this one saying? I shouldn’t dress nice again?” Single or married, by all means dress trendy if you like trends but dress nice, dress modest, dress decent and your man will respect you.
6. DON’T BE EXTRAVAGANT
It’s the pride of most normal and real men to provide the best they can for their loved ones but no man, even millionaires like a wasteful woman. I dare to say men, however thrifty or extravagant they themselves may be, like women who are prudent with money, whether it comes from him or her. Being wise with money will always earn you your man’s love and respect.
7. DON’T TRY TO TRAP A MAN WITH SEX OR PREGNANCY
Men like to be free. When we make decisions and get entangled, we like to think they are our decisions. If you use sex to trap man, he’ll love every sense of respect or affection for you when the magic is no longer in the sex. Many a man have married a woman because she got pregnant for him but few of such women end up with his love or respect.
8. DON’T PLAY A WIFE ROLE TO YOUR BOYFRIEND
As much as men like to see qualities of a ‘wife material’ in a woman he is dating, don’t overkill and become his wife when he hasn’t married you. You may not understand when and why he gets tired of you and wants to run. He could feel like he is being manipulated for instance, or you could appear cheap. So create a balance in what you do and how much time you spend at his place if it’s a dating relationship
9. GIVE HIM SOME SPACE
In point no. 7 above, I said men like to be free. That’s absolutely true. Responsible men know where to draw the life between their desire for freedom and their responsibilities and will strive to do that. Let your man hang out with the boys and drink a few beers or watch their football game. Don’t nag about it and if you think he is over doing it, find a wise way of gently and patiently drawing his attention there but please don’t always breath down his neck. I do it, and many responsible men I know will always check in appropriately with their wives when they are away.
10. BELIEVE AND HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELVE
It seems perplexing when men seem wary of successful or powerful women and seem to prefer ‘village girls’ and then don’t seem to respect the ‘village girl’ The truth is, men like confident and self assured women. Yes, some men can seem threatens by successful or powerful women but that could be a function of the man’s confident or the fact that many women generally can’t handle power in their relationship. So believe in yourself, be confident, take charge and make some decisions alone that he expect you to be able to make and he’ll respect you for that.

Well, there they are; not exhaustive by any standard as every situation and relationship are unique and there will be more points put forward by others but you may find some of these points helpful, share them and help some woman today.

Family / Ten Ways To Earn The Love And Respect Of Your Woman by jkingx(m): 12:00pm On Nov 01, 2015
“She doesn’t respect me!”. This is perhaps the most complain men have about their women. “Why doesn’t she respect you?” Someone may ask and the man may be at loss as to why. Chances are, he’ll say he hasn’t done anything to deserve it and believe it to be true.
In my thinking, these words ‘love and respect’ are very important differently to men and women. A man has a deep and something secret longing to be respected and revered by their women. Many men will justify their infidelity by a lack of respect by their women. A lot of times, the women don’t even realize they are losing some kind of respect and adoration for their mem and may be shocked when confronted with accusation of disrespects. The issue of men and women is as complex and as diverse as there are men and women but here are a few things I’ve learnt from personal experiences that never failed to endeared a man to his women all over.

The Article is a bit long so please visit http://bluestocker.com/earning-the-love-and-respect-of-your-woman/ for the full information and I'm sure you'll love it but here are the points.

Romance / WE LOVE BREASTS! Let’s Care For Them. by jkingx(m): 10:15pm On Oct 30, 2015
http://bluestocker.com/we-love-breasts-lets-care-for-them/

True, we love breast but don’t jump ahead of yourself. It may be far from what you think this article implies. I’m writing this post with a sad heart and as a result of a recent observation.
I am writing this article with a sad heart because I recently lost my favorite aunt in her mid-age. She died after a long tortuous battle with breast cancer and secondly, I recently observed a rather unhealthy behavior among many African women notably in the rural areas but still practiced by even city dwelling women; KEEPING CURRENCY NOTES IN THER BRA!! I knew that keeping money, even coins inside the bra was more or less normal for woman many, many years ago but wouldn’t believe women still do it in the twenty first century! It seem so shocking and strange to see young woman such as waitresses in restaurants and bars doing it.
I said we love breast because we simply do. Ask any woman from their teens to motherhood. The part of their body they foremost and probably always obsess with is their breasts. Let’s not even ask the men!
If the teenage boy wet dreaming about girls, the little school girl excited about her pecky sprouting breasts, old men that will renounce their age because of women breasts and mothers to whom the breast means the survival and health of their babies and let’s not forget babies to whom the breast is the best thing in the world. So you see, whether for aesthetics, sexuality or procreation, the breasts are important to all of us and we love them
Now, if breasts are so important and we all love them so much from cradle till our old age, why is that there are so many unhealthy practices bothering on the breast? Why did my Aunt, like perhaps a million other women died in her prime from breast cancer? What do you know about caring for those wonderful organs?
I’m neither a medical nor health expert of any kind but I wish to share what little I learnt and know about caring for the breast from the expert.
According to the Canadian Women health Network, “Breasts, like women's bodies, come in all shapes and sizes. Their tissue is varied, they change as you age, and the left one may not look the same as the right. One breast may grow faster or larger than the other. How your breasts feel and look can be affected by many things, including your menstrual cycle, pregnancy, breastfeeding, menopause, nutrition and aging. Some women experience a natural growth and fluid retention during the menstrual cycle that may be painful. With time, breasts tend to sag a bit more, especially after milestone changes in hormones, such as breastfeeding and menopause.”
TIPS FOR HEALTHY BREASTS.
Here are 11 useful tips for maintain healthy breasts.
1. Exercise Regularly
With all you know about exercise, (I recently wrote a post about exercise for weight loss), you probably never linked exercising with breast health but some research have suggested that regular exercise can lower the risk of breast cancer by 10% to 30%. Some experts however advice that women wear firm bras to prevent the ligament and fibrous glands from overstretching by excessive bouncing during exercise. Note that breasts have no muscles so exercise is not going to build and firm up your breasts.
2. Don’t smoke or quite if you do!
Smoking is associate with breast cancer in women so to improve and safeguard your breasts health, don’t smoke.
3. Avoid excessive alcohol intake.
4. Try to maintain a healthy weight.
5. Be careful about chemical substance you ingest or use on your body.
Many beauty products such as creams, lotions, soaps etc. are known to contain dangerous and toxic active chemical ingredient that get absorbs into the body with many of them linked to various kind of cancer. For instance, 99% of aggressive breast cancer tumors had an ingredient called parabens in them. Parabens are one of the most common preservatives used in products like deodorants, shampoos, and body lotions.
Here are some names to look out for and avoid, on the labels of beauty products
Synthetic colors, Parabens, Triclosan, Fragrance, Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) / Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), Phthalates, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Propylene glycol, Sunscreen chemicals: benzophenone, ethoxycinnmate, avobenzone etc.

6. Eat well
Eat low-fat, high-fiber and whole grain foods, lots of dark green, orange and red vegetables and fruits daily, washing your fruits and vegetables, or buying organic produce to reduce your exposure to potentially toxic chemicals;
7. Breastfeed as long as possible.
I think is nature’s miracle and compensation for women for follows nature plans.

8. Avoid Hormone replacement therapies
Hormone replacement therapy is receiving hormones, either to supplement a lack of naturally occurring hormones, or to substitute other hormones for naturally occurring hormones. Certain studies have shown that this increase the risk of breast cancer.
9. Wear the right size for you.
If you wear bras, wear comfortable loose-fitting bras except when exercising and do not wear them to bed.
10. Keep the breasts clean and moisturized
11. Examine your breast and know your breast so you could detect any abnormalities

Nairaland / General / Nigeria National Pledge, Now A National Joke? by jkingx(m): 12:23am On Oct 26, 2015
http://bluestocker.com/nigeria-national-pledge-now-a-national-joke/

Nigeria National Pledge, Now A National Joke?
Have you ever watched The Star-Spangled Banner being sang or the United States Pledge of Allegiance being recited? Chances are you have and you were moved with the passion and emotions they always convey. You’ve probably watched movies or documentaries depicting soldiers daring their lives and often laying them down to honor the US flag during intense battles. I used the US as an example but you may see the same passion by citizens of many other countries for their national symbols. Can you try to make a comparison with what you see these days when the Nigerian National Anthem is being sang or the National Pledge recited? How many times have you been at a gathering where the National Anthem is being sang or national pledge being recited and some people seem to be completely unaware and doing their own things?
I write this article with sadness and every sense of responsibility. I still remember with nostalgia those times when as primary school pupils, we would with reverence and pride, stand still wherever we are once the national anthem is being sang always followed by the National Pledge. These days many Nigerians cannot correctly say the words of the National Anthem and National Pledge. There have been TV shows that embarrassingly show people in top positions who could not recite them.
...
http://bluestocker.com/nigeria-national-pledge-now-a-national-joke/

Created in 1976 by Prof (Mrs.) Felicia Adebola Adedoyin and promulgated into a degree that same year by then then military government of General Olusegun Obasanjo, The National Pledge was to be recited by all school children daily during their assemblies. The pledge is said along aside the National Anthem as a promise to The Fatherland in national and public matters but it has become just a mere ritual now!
Take a look at the words below and think for a minute how many of us still strive to keep the pledge.
THE NATIONAL PLEDGE
I pledge to Nigeria, my country
To be faithful, loyal and honest,
To serve Nigeria with all my strength,
To defend her unity and uphold
Her honor and glory.
So help me God.
Hasn’t The National Pledge become national joke now and we are all responsible for the joke? The exact opposite of these words seem to be all we do and what is celebrated! From the ordinary man on the street to the high and mighty in the helms of government affairs, we’ve turn the National Pledge into a national joke. People elected or appointed to positions and who took oaths of offices, brazenly break every word of the National Pledge without a care.
As silly as this may sound, the national pledge should be abandoned altogether or something else recited in its place if we are to keep on our mentality as it is. If we must have this pledge as our National Pledge then let us all sit up and go about our daily activities mindful of the fact that we have a promise to our Fatherland to keep. Like I said, we are all responsible for turning our National Pledge into a national joke and if it is to be of any value again, then we all must work toward it. A train can only move as fast as the head so I believe a reorientation and renewed effort to live The Pledge must start from the top. When the common man sees that people who took oath of office are keeping The Pledge, it will be easier to emulate. Corruption and social injustices will die naturally and the lack of peace which comes with injustice will fade away.

Politics / Biafran Republic: Beyond The Euphoria Of Nnamdi Kanu And The Gang. by jkingx(m): 10:49am On Oct 25, 2015
http://bluestocker.com/biafran-republic-beyond-the-euphoria-of-nnamdi-kanu-and-the-gang/

By Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe

The issue of Biafra and Nnamdi Kanu has been at the forefront of the political discourse in the past few days with many an Igbo standing to be counted. One of the octogenarians and the very man at the helm of affairs during the civil war, General Yakubu Gowon said the Pro-Biafra group will not pose a threat to the sovereignty of Nigeria. I was born during the civil war and apart from the few pieces of information that I picked from few sources, I never experience the war and will not be in the best stand to discuss the civil war.
But some hard truths most be told about this struggle and to me the matters arising from this in the contemporary Nigeria are: –
1. I don’t see the present formation of Biafra with Niger Delta states like Akwa Ibom, Delta, Cross Rivers, Bayelsa and Rivers surviving with igbos as the majority. The same crisis in the present day Nigeria will snowballed into Biafra and most likely in less than 10 years, the Niger Delta states will demand for sovereignty from the Igbos. Believe you me, the nonhomogeneous coming together of Niger delta and Igbos to form a country will not last 15 years.
2. Igbo land is landlocked without a sea port to import the goods they trade on, without land for agriculture to meet their food needs, without oil to give a kick to the economy they dearly long for and without landmass if all the Igbos will massively return back home during the war been propagated by Nnamdi kanu. I am imagining the Igbo investments in the western and Northern Nigeria, what happen to them? Will the Igbos be guaranteed support from the very Nigeria they are landlocked with after they have broken away?
3. These Niger Delta and the Igbo states are among the worst governed states in Nigeria, worst in political instability with almost near lack of leadership. They are not differentiated from other states of Nigeria. I have visited all the LGAs in Niger Delta and the Igbo states while consulting for UNIFES/NPHCDA and there is nearly no presence of the two lower tiers of government in their rural communities. While Kanu and his group are pointing one accusing finger to the FG, four fingers should be pointed at their leaders at the states and LGAs. If Biafra is actualized, most likely people like Oji Kalu, Oji T., Wike, Ameachi, Akpabio, Ibori, uduaghan, Achike Udenwa, Chimaroke, et al will form the core of Biafran leadership. What makes it different from the present day Nigeria?
4. Most of the oil resources of Nigeria are offshore and the ownership of offshore resources are based on the landmass of a country into the hinterland. That is why Nigeria owns most offshore resources into Sao Tome and Principe and Guinea coast. Splitting Nigerian will drastically reduce the access of Biafra to maritime resources because the landmass of Niger-delta and Igbo states will be so small, and most of the offshore resources will be handed over to Cameroon, Western Nigeria and other coastal countries that will have a bigger landmass to the hinterland. If Western and Northern Nigeria will be maintained, then Nigeria will still own most of the offshore oil resource because of its landmass into the hinterland. Therefore giving oil as a major reason for splitting Nigeria is a mere mirage.
To me the solution is simple, we need good leadership, united and patriotic followership to build a very strong, virile and united Nigeria by taking advantage of our diversification in Culture, our human and many material resources, ideologies and numerical strength. Together we stand to build a better, stronger and self-sufficient and efficient country for the benefit of all.
I can’t afford to lose the many Igbo friends I have made in the course of growing up in different parts of Nigeria to another country. One of the best and finest lecturers and supervisor I have ever had was my PhD supervisor, Prof Marcel Agu at UNN, so many good tales of how this Igbo man with a heart of gold made me. I cant imagine visiting Prof Marcel Agu in another country. I stand for one Nigeria and Together Each Achieves More (TEAM)

Nairaland / General / Dangote And Jonathan Changing Perceptions About Nigerians by jkingx(m): 7:12am On Oct 24, 2015
http://bluestocker.com/dangote-and-jonathan-changing-perceptions-about-nigerians/

Dangote and Jonathan are really changing the perception about Nigerians globally, across Africa and in my observation, very seriously in East Africa.

I was at the popular kariakoo market, Dar Es Salaam the other day and something quite interesting dawn on me following a conversation I had with the proprietor of a store I was doing some purchase. From my speaking, she ask if I was a Nigerian to which I said yes. Immediately there was a change in her countenance. Her smile broadening, she ask if I was in Tanzania for the Dangote operations. Later on, I reflected on the instant change in her countenance and I realized I have been noticing that a lot in recent times as I interact with different people from all over the world; Americans, Arabs, Europeans, Indians etc and a lot of east Africans. Most of them keep expressing their admirations for Dangote’s reputation and Mr. Jonathan conceding defeat as an incumbent president of an African Nation. Most people may agree with me that normally, the moment other nationals find out you are Nigerians, they get wary and sometimes subtly or clearly, hostile. In my experiences, they only generally relax when they interact with me and judge me on an individual basis. We all know the reason for the suspicions, disrespect and hostilities.

Aliko Dangote invested over $500m in a cement factory in Tanzania which was recently commission. He is also investing in power and other sectors. Dangote is investing in many countries across Africa creating jobs and positively impacting on the economies of African countries.

As much as I admires former President Goodluck Jonathan conceding defeat to Muhamadu Buhari in this year’s presidential elections, I didn’t see it as big deal that was supposed to make him a hero but is it not a big deal? Maybe it is a very big deal after all. For a black president of a black African Nation, I now agree it is big deal. African leader have a reputation to hold on to power at whatever cost! They can change their so called constitutions at will like Burundi's president recently did and Rwandan president currently doing which made me wrote the article, will African leaders ever learn? to serve their interest. But when Jonathan, with all the vultures surrounding him who doesn’t care if Nigeria is plunged into chaos conceded defeat, it is big deal. It is very big deal and big a deal enough to make him a hero both at home and abroad.

Goodluck Jonathan is especially a hero in Tanzania right now where general elections comes up Sunday 25 October and the ruling party is facing a stiff opposition with predictions of election outcome too close to call. Jonathan is currently in Tanzania as the chairperson of the Commonwealth Observer Group (COG) to monitor the elections. A lot of Tanzanians are excited and hopeful that their country will follow Nigeria’s example.

I feel proud when I hear these expression of admiration for these two great men among many others. I feel good when I see the positive change of attitudes, respect and acceptance given me as a Nigerian because of them. I wish Nigerians who keep dragging our names to the gutters with every vice imaginable across the globe could desist and turn a new leaf. I wish our politician and top government functionaries could set a new positive and higher standard for other African Nations to follow. I wish Nigeria can one day be the envy of every nation, the pride of Africa and every black person.

Politics / Why Was Amaechi Diplomatic In Defining Corruption? by jkingx(m): 3:03pm On Oct 22, 2015

Hate him or like him, I dare say you have to respect him.
Rotimi Amaechi, immediate past governor of Rivers State and a ministerial nominee of President Buhari is a man to reckon with. He is clearly a dare-devil, headstrong, determined, witty and intelligent.
Amongst the ministerial nominees whose screening I watched so far, I will rate his articulation relatively high. However, as someone who I respect to a certain degree, I am troubled by the way he tried to answer the question thrown at him to define corruption.
"If there is one man that doesn't like corruption, I don't like corruption," Amaechi said but when ask to define corruption, he claimed it is difficult for him to define. He proceeded to cite examples of what could constitute corruption saying, (I’m not quoting him verbatim), “If as a government official, you don’t take bribe but they give you are girl and you slept with her, you are corrupt or if in authority, you give a job opportunity to your son or brother who is not qualified, you are corrupt”. I don’t doubt that these could be considered corruption with the later more precisely termed nepotism, but with the corruption being a household term in Nigeria and Africa, Amaechi really want to tell us he couldn’t define corruption as it is killing us all?
I tend to have some respect for him because I consider him more of a blunt and fearless person. Why was he afraid to define corruption for what is it that affects us?

Nairaland / General / Dare To Dream: The World's Billionaires. by jkingx(m): 12:41pm On Oct 22, 2015
http://bluestocker.com/dare-to-dream-the-worlds-billionaires/

Dare to Dream. The Top 100 World Billionaires.

Most of us know Bill Gate to be the world richest man at some point. To some, he is the only name they know when talking about the world richest people. The richest person in Africa is however not in dispute. Everyone knows it is Aliko Dangote but may not be able to tell where he is ranked on the global scale. So who really is currently the richest person in the world? How many Billionaires are on the list of the world’s Billionaires? How did they acquire their wealth?

I got interested in this issue because of the get rich quick mentality that’s plaguing a lot of us today. Yes, it’s OK to want to make it big, and as fast as possible, but when that desire is not backed by the right mentality, we set ourselves up for disappointments, discouragement and desperation. According to a report by billionaire census, Wealth-X and UBS, the average billionaire is 63 years old. Ninety-three percent of the world’s billionaires are over 45 years old.

It is also worth noting that you may not find showbiz stars and celebrity here. showbiz sure can make you a success in your right and give you fame and the good life but not likely to give you lasting wealth and make you a billionaire. Also note that you may not find politicians and government workers on such list because secure jobs rarely make people millionaire not to talk of billionaires and top government officials and politicians across the world can't show the source of their billions even if they have it.

Bellow is a chart by Wealth-X and USB Billionaire Census Report showing age distribution of Billionaire.

So here’s the thing, if you desire to be a billionaire like me, you desire a good thing but take it easy. It’s a process.

The rest of this Article take a quick look at the top 100 world’s Billionaires according to Forbes. 2005 world Billionairs published in March has 1,826 on the list and Bill Gates is back on top of the list for the 16th time in the last 21 years! In second place is Carlos Slim Helú, the Mexican business magnate, investor, and philanthropist who ranked as the richest person in the world from 2010 to 2013 and Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway in third place. Our own Aliko Dangote according to the list is the 67th Billionaire in the world.

The list is quite long so please visit http://bluestocker.com/dare-to-dream-the-worlds-billionaires/ to continue.
