That dream you had, is what 's called an anxiety dream otherwise known as a natural dream
The content of such anxiety dreams usually is a direct reflection about something you've seen, watched, heard, listened to or wanted

More than a year ago, a Sunday like this after coming from church and I had a nap. I had this dream where I was speaking in tougue till I woke up. Since then anytime am praying without talking (I meaning praying in my mind) I will be able to speak in tougue for few minutes but when I tried speaking it out I won't be able to. Later when praying I will be able to say few words in tougue but it will sound like trash to me so I stopped.
I remember narrating this my dream to bro Charles ( not my experience oo) he asked to go for water baptism. I attend Rccg I had it this morning, after resurrecting with Jesus, the woman leading us in prayer was speaking in tougue, I was able to say it out freely but it still sound like rubbish to me and like mine is different to others.
These are my questions
Is itxpossible to encounter holy spirit through dream
Is my experience normal
Will I be speaking in tougue for few minute forever or will I improve
Hope am not forcing myself to speak it

rother I had the same experience, spoke in tongues in my dream and couldn't when I was awake, tried when I prayed or worshipping but sounds like am forcing it. What I did next was to fully seek Him who freely gives on the issue

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"--Luke 11:11-13.

I prayed about it and He led me to a programme in another church which was actually organised for people to receive the Holy Spirit and I didn't know. But I went with expectations of been baptised and lo and behold, i was at the right place and I didn't fail.to receive that day

Now it shows the Lord is drawing your attention to what is needed in your life which is the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Pray and ask of it,He is always ready to give a ready heart. Now it's not a must or a way to only receive in the church,you can receive it anywhere and yes even in your room so don't have it in mind that you have to receive it in a church, God can decide to lead us as He wishes but however way He leaders,it's surely the best for us.

I have 2 verses to help you
1 Corinthians: 14. 14. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.

You need faith to know you have received when you ask because that is what will rise up your faith to speak out the tongues flowing in you because what ever you are going to speak out will come from your spirit and not your head,your mind will totally not understand or have an idea of what you will say so you have to speak in faith.

I read alot. Thank God all i read is not in my head, if not i would have probably gone insane.
Before now, i read everything. Everything printed in English, I will read. But now i can't read any other book thats not Christian.

I don't know what is happening to me. I do not watch TV again, i don't listen to any music that's not gospel, except maybe in a public place or in a car. It does not occur to me to take in the lyrics of their songs, my mind blocks them off. I don't nod my head, i don't tap my toes.

No more movies, and use to watch movies alot. I can't watch any unchristian movie anymore.

No radios, i listen to news and put the radio off. Everything i do now is controlled. If its not Christian, it irritates me.

How i got here, i don't know.

Our Spirit was recreated when we received the joy of salvation and as we grow in Christ, we crucify the flesh and its desires and the likeness of God is made more evident in our lives.

I also don't listen to radios anymore coz its filled with all manners of worldly activities and programmes, nothing good comes out it. I usually come on Nairaland to read whatever happenings/news out there, i have more than 200songs on my fone and all are gospel, not one single song on my fone is worldly. I still watch movies tho but I do that with my head and not my heart but even at that,I don't watch just any movies. So sis,you are very oooookkkkk. The Lord is our strength

Well, talking about the Holy Spirit and the experience in dreams. I once read a book about a Pakistani woman who the Holy Spirtit evangelized to in the early 70s when it was almost impossible for a missionary to preach the Gospel in Pakistan. What the Holy Spirit did with her is similar to what you are experiencing.

Since there was no preacher or church to lead her to christ and teach her these things, She was seeing everything in her dreams and when she woke up, she saw the manifestations.

She was baptized in her Dream, recieved the Holy Ghost Baptism all in her dream, Even before she was able to travel to anothet country to be baptized physically, the Holy Spirit Baptised her in her dream already.

There has been a long time plan by Satan to unite Man with Beast (demons). This has been an agenda by the powers of darkness for centuries and ages.
And slowly, this has already began to happen. Many people are secretly mingling with demons. Some do it deliberately, and some do it indeliberately.


So many Hollywood movies subtly hide real satanic agendas and demonic symbols in them. When you see the directors behind such type of movies, you realize that they're either in the illuminati secret cult or they're Atheists.


We need to pay attention to things and people around us. Pay attention not with our ears, but with our spirits. Let your spirit be under the influence and guidance of the Holy Spirit, that you may see things for what they really are, that you may see people for who they really are and that you may be kept safe from impending danger.


Not everyone you call friend is a friend. And not everything you see with your physical eyes is as it is.


God has revealed to me so many things in my life, that i actually ignored some of them thinking it wasn't real. I mean how can my Primary school Teacher be in a secret cult? Why would God show me that after about 9years of knowing him. I didn't take that revelation serious, but now it's playing out before my very eyes. It came to my mind to share this wonderful peace of exhortation that will bring edification to our soul and spirit.

This is particularly for those who get scared when they have any bad dream such as eating in the dream, having sex in the dream, having cobwebs around the head, seeing yourself in your secondary school and so many others which we have heard the devil uses to hinder men,delay their blessing, cause bad luck, stagnancy, pulling someone back instead of going forward in life and the likes.

Listen to me child of God, you who have given your life to Christ, you who by His Grace has received the joy of salvation, at the point of salvation YOU HAVE BEEN SET FREE COMPLETELY.

The bible says in 2corinthians 5:17 therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION ;old things have passed away behold, all things have become new.

You are a new creation in Christ Jesus, you now have the Spirit of Christ dwelling in you. What happened at that point was a change in government from been under the influence and dominion of the devil into the kingdom of God as an adopted child through and in Christ Jesus, you are no longer a nobody who the devil can toil with but a somebody and not just that,you are the CHILD OF THE MOST HIGH GOD.

John: 1. 12. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

Jesus automatically became your God, Lord and King. He did not just come to show that he can do sign and wonders, He came for YOU,to pay the price and die for your sins,He went through pains and sufferings just to see you well, Isaiah: 53. 5. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
He died and was buried but death COULD NOT hold HIM down but gave Him up and rose again, ascended and now sitting at the right side of God in the heavenly place interceding for you and me .

Do you think all that was for a joke?that the devil can toss you back and forth? NO,NO NO. He delivered you completely when He gave Himself up for you. Colossians: 1. 13. For he has rescued/delivered us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14. in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

He "has",past tense, he is not going to do that anymore, you only have to hold on to the truth no matter how strong the weapon of the devil might be for He said in Isaiah: 54. 17. no weapon forged against you will prevail/shall prosper , and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me," declares the Lord.
He did not say the devil will not "shakara" /threaten you but keep the faith and stand strong having put on the armor of God.

Let me explain further, the bible says in Romans: 8. 1. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2. because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

In every governing state or country,there is a law the people must follow. Each state sometimes go along with each other but also sometimes they have different kinda law which will be active in some state or country but not in another state or country. E.g homosexuality is legal in the USA but if u try that in Nigeria, you are playing with 14years if caught. Lemme use state as an example, in Lagos where i live,hawking on the street is banned,there is a 90,000fine on both the buyer and seller if caught but not in most state. The moment you reach the other side of another state at the tollgate, that law is nullified and immediately become inactive. Note that the same activities is still going on in both states but only that there is a law binding one and no law in the other ;that is to say there is a punishment for that act in one state but no punishment in another

The same thing happens in the Spirit realm when one gives his or her life to Christ. It wont stop the devil from doing what he knows how to do best which is to kill,steal and destroy but understand that there is now a change in government HALLELUJAH . There is no condemnation to you any more, you have been set free by the Spirit who gives life who is in you. Giving your life to Christ wont stop you from having bad dream, been pursued in the dream etc but nothing will harm you or destroy your destiny/ glorious future if you keep walking with God. It will stop at a point in time but while it keeps coming, be strong and know that God is in control. The bible says in Romans: 8. 28. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

God uses all things which are both good and bad to work out the very best of us.

John: 8. 36. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
INDEED is a done deal word,if the bible say you have been delivered then so it is. You have to believe the Word and take it has it is for the bible say in Numbers: 23. 19. God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

It is when you believe the Word and hold on to the truth that the Word will work for you. Like Kenneth Hagin says in his book: The Word you KNOW and DO is what will set you free and work for you, you have to act like the Word is true coz truly it is.

Do you know the possessions in you? The bible says in Ephesians: 1. 3. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HAS blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

All that you will ever need or desire in life has been given to Jesus and because you have the Spirit of Christ in you, then you automatically have it all. See child of God before the devil can steal anything from you,kill you or kill your joy, or destroy you in anyway, he will need to go through Christ because all you have been blessed with is in Christ and glory be to God that the devil has already been defeated and dethroned.

When you have that bad dream,all you need to do is to cancel and reject the dream in the name of Jesus, destroy the power behind it by the blood of Jesus, thank God it is done and thats all. The power to receive,destroy, cast and bind, reject is in the name of Jesus. Philippians: 2. 9. Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10. that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11. and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
DEVIL AND DEMONS TREMBLE WHEN THAT NAME IS CALLED. Shout it when you are tormented, Shout it when you feel attacked, Shout it when you need a way out of no way. Shout when you need help. It works, Yes Jesus is alive today and forever and will always answer when you call on him.

One more very important thing you need to take note here that will build your confidence in God even in the midst of tribulations, ordeals and even when the devil shows up in your dream is that you are not alone, God is with you. The bible says in 1 John: 4. 4. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

God is not only with you but also IN you,the Greater One lives in you and nothing can /will take you away from Him. Know that everything ia working out for your best and at the right time God will lift you up if you humble yourself under His mighty hand. The bible says Psalm: 23. 4. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
That is the attitude we should keep even when you face trials.

When you know that God is with you and in you,this will boost and increase your faith. Dont allow your heart to be shaken neither should you let fear grip your heart, know that Gods eyes is forever on you and he wont let you down,NEVER.

At this point do you wish to give your life or re-dedicate your life to Christ to be in his perfect will,be secured in Him and have your blessings released in you? Then repeat this prayer by saying it:LORD JESUS, I REPENT OF MY SINS, COME INTO MY HEART AND BE MY LORD AND SAVIOUR. DELIEVER ME FROM THE DEVIL AND THE WICKED ONES. 1 John: 1. 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

When we sin and feel sorry for what we have done, we don't need to keep asking God to forgive us for our sins, He said when we CONFESS so all we need to do is confess immediately at that point what we have done not waiting till when we pray in the morning or evening and ask Him to forgive us,God will do His part by forgiving us when we do our own part by confessing.

We should after that repent of our sins and don't go into it anymore just Jesus said to the adulterous woman in John: 8. 11. She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

The same thing when we are sincerely sorry for what we have done wrong, He forgives us when we confess and ask for forgiveness but most importantly He does not want us to go back to that same sin. God bless us

The reason why Jesus can feel and understand all what we are going through is because He also went through the same thing that He might be a faithful and merciful High Priest interceding on our behalf for the bible says in
Hebrews: 2. 9. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. 10. For it became him, FOR whom are all things, and BY whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

The reason why we should put our trust in the Lord Jesus is because He is still alive up till this moment, He hears and answers when we call on Him for He is at the right side of God and where our confidence is is that he understands every of our needs and request to perfect it

Hebrews: 2. 17. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 18. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

He understands it when you say you are hungry for He Himself felt hunger, when you say you are tempted for He Himself was tempted, when you say you are suffering for He Himself suffered for our sake etc

Hebrews: 4. 15. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Yes He is Jehovah,Yes He is the Alpha and Omega, Yes He is the deliverer, the Healer, the Protector, the Saviour, the good Teacher, Yes his name is JESUS. Give Him all the praise this day and go to Him with your requests having faith that He will do it.

ThankGod I stumbled on this thread. Can't believe I didnt see this since av been visiting Nairaland.

My own is....sometimes I wonder if my gifts are of God or otherwise.

Am a dreamer, most things I dream about always come to manifestation in real life. However lately I get flashes....such that a short movie would play and end quickly. Its like a dream. But am not even sleeping. Its really scary. Sometimes, it wld be abt sth to come or sth that has happened before. this I don't really understand.

And also...this one I know is demonic. I hear spirits talking to me while am half asleep. Its almost real sometimes. Its scary too. This happens mostly when am not in good standing with God.

Do they have an idea of what it is all about and what it involves?
It goes way beyond wearing scary costumes...

A whole lot don't know it's a form of a demonic celebration and participating in Halloween is like supporting the satanic Kingdom. I read somewhere online that sacrifices are been done in renewal of the covenant between men and satan given satan authority over men.
So many ignotant people go for Halloween and those who don't buy all those horrible custume to celebrate Halloween thinking it's just a celebration. we all should be careful what we get involve with/in coz there will be no story on the judgement day as we will be judged for virtually everything. I pray that the eyes of our understanding be enlightened and we should allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us into all affairs of the World.

Most importantly we need to remember as a child of the Most High, we might be in this world but definitely not of this world. Whatever we do,let's do it to glorify God.

Ok now I get. Sorry for the misinterpretation. All you need to do is click on the address but you need to go on YouTube through a browser and not youtube directly either through chrome or opera. Once on the video page,click and highlight the address then copy and paste where you need it. That's all and you can do that for any other video as well. But to download videos on YouTube, you need to copy the address as same, go to keepvid.com,paste on the download box and download.

Well it's actually on YouTube but the day I stumbled in it, i wasnt even searching for such to watch. God always find a way of passing a message across, sometimes it could be through dreams,sometimes vision, sometimes He just put the words in someone's mouth without the person knowing he/she is talking to you but when words is spoken,one will surely know it's for you, and yes sometimes through social media. Infact until i clicked to watch the video I never knew it's something that heavy but after watching, i just had to say a little prayer asking God to help me not to miss it.

Heaven is a must for us believers,we must endeavour not to miss it. One scripture that drives me most to make heaven is 1 John: 3. 2. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall SEE HIM AS HE IS.

I sure want to see him face to face and be totally like him. So help me God

It doesn't matter either am edified by my friends on Facebook or not,am more particular about edifying them so Infact I accept every friends request I get. Be you a Muslim,prostitute, scammer etc we the body of Christ has been called into the ministry of reconciliation so however way we can pass the message or preach the Word,please let's ensure we do it

It's a matter of urgency I put this down, in this age and time of social media let's be careful of the contents we post up and that others are at liberty to see from us, people can either be blessed or dammed for your sake without you even knowing..... So u like to make some thought provoking posts or some funny photos to curry likes and shares, well hear this now, be careful you don't mislead anyone to hell.... I watched this video recently where a brother recounts his experience of judgement in an extreme vision God showed him and how someone was judged not for what she had posted on facebook but for every soul that perished as a result of that post and then it dawned on me that it was expedient to be careful of what we write or post, it could be detrimental for the poster and audience hmmmm

In fact I started to see social media as a sinister move of the devil to cause more havoc, I asked myself how necessary it was to be on social media and the answer was -needless, It is something one can actually do without.... In the past I can't count how many times I have deactivated my facebook account and officially did for the last time a couple days back, why, it is not edifying for my soul.... As apostle Paul put it in 1Cor 10:23 - KJ21 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient. All things are lawful for me, but all things do not edify. Therefore, I strongly believe it is something we can do without cos these medias really promote Major worldliness which truthfully isn't helpful to any such Christian trying to stay upright....

Imagine opening your Fb and you are met with all sorts of posts from friends some of whom you personally know not or is it the inexplicable feeling that overwhelms you when you see a person you know has updated another milestone in their lives and has gotten so many likes and shares and you are there secretly wishing and plotting how you'd outshine them with ur next pic and post? Or is it how really social media teaches you to remain on the strive for relevance? No, this is totally not worth it. Oh I forgot the others, I keep mentioning fb cos it's the only one I managed to maintain asides the one I think is more reasonable (LinkedIn) as for instagram, twitter and the likes and the sinister effect they have on millions of subscribers, I believe only God can help prevent us from being immersed in them cos really these sites can take out the F off the faith in the life of a true Christian....

Well said sister. I also have the video on my fone and posted it on Facebook days ago. One can imagine how one single post on facebook can lead over 300,000people astray. As a child of God, we only are to be particular about edifying not just the body of Christ but also the unbeliever s. No need to delete your Facebook sis,u can also use the same medium to convey the message of the cross to people who get to see it.

The initial purpose of bringing this topic here at first is because of burden to help this my friend out to see the truth in the Word. Whenever I try to refer to one of this topics, he usually refer me back to his pastors teaching which I know to be an error so basically he wouldn't listen to me coz he believes I wouldn't know more than his pastor. I just think il continue to pray for him that he may fully be enlightened to enjoy the benefits of this spiritual acts. Great job to all the brethren on here,we should be aware that we r definitely touching lives.

Brother please don't get me wrong here, none of them negate salvation neither will it take anyone to heaven. Am just saying there should be a balance between the new and old testament teaching not with human wisdom but through the Spirit of God.

I even once read from one of the pastors post that mixing old testament with the new when teaching is like a dj mixing a tape.he believes that believers only should be particular about the epistles. I believe there should just be a balance and the reply i said I got from the Holy Spirit was based on if those 4 should be discarded and He said no.

Tithe, anointing oil,communion and water baptism has there own significance in the life of a believer
