This is a powerful post. You are right, angels appear in different forms and do not always appear to be tall. They appear to a person in a physical form(as a human being) or in their true spirit form.


When they come in the physical form, a person must be alert to discern the behavior of the angel, knowing that the angel was sent from God to them.
Most times the person won't even know it was an angel until the angel is gone.


Your life is a testimony and I pray God will continue His good work in your life.

Amen sir but the fact that amazes me most was that he" the angel" acted perfectly like a human till he walked to the bench. The only act that seems to be odd was when he left without seeing the pastor and he left after the wicked thought. There was a time one of my siblings (sister) got involved with a boy whose father was a very high occultist. She was so determined to be with this boy that she packed her things and moved in with him and his family. And nothing my mother said could convince her to change her mind, she was "in love" and she had to follow her heart. The thing is, her arrival in the house was not welcomed. The boys father did not want my sister dating his son, in fact he had such a great hatred for my sister, that he did not hide his feelings from her. He claimed she was mami wata and was charming his son and stealing his blessings (we later found this to be true but that is another story). Despite all this my sister stayed on

I have always had the ability of visions. And often I would call my sister to tell her not to eat food since I would see the father adding something to it. She would take my advice and not eat, but no matter what I said she refused to leave their house. One night, after a long and tiring day I had a dream. In this dream I was downstairs in my house looking through the window. I was not close to the window, just near enough to see through it. Outside on the street were men in black robes, all their hoods were pulled down so I could not see their faces, however I could hear them discussing something among themselves. They were talking about how they would enter my family home, but none of them were sure how they would go about it. Suddenly one member said "we should leave this family alone, we have no right to harm them" immediately one of them pointed a finger and in a cloud of dirty smoke that member was no more.

In the dream, my mum and my two sisters (including the one living with the boy) were busy in the kitchen. I cried out to them to start running up the stairs away from these hooded men, because I could see it was a matter of time before they entered the house. We all ran uptairs, my siblings went to different bedrooms, I went to my own bedroom. When I got there I realised I had effectively trapped myself, so I began to crawl out the window. All this time I was screaming "help, help, somebody help us!". I got onto the roof, still screaming, and it was there that I saw the most handsome, tall, beautiful men I have ever seen. They were ebony skinned and regal looking and kept smiling. They had a peace about them I cannot describe. They looked upon me and said "It is well sister"


I awoke that morning, knowing my family had been under great dark attack that night and the angels of the Lord had stopped it. I will be honest and say I did not cry on Jesus at the time, since I did not know him the way I know him now, yet the Lord still heard my plea and sent his messengers to help us. For that I am truly humbled and grateful.

Shortly after that the boy and my sister broke up. I also want to add that the boys occultist father is now dead.


I say all this to let you know that angels can come in many forms. We as humans are preoccupied with the human form/colour - they are not.
CharlyG1 said it very well when he said that demons pretty much look he way they are depcted in Hollywood because most of the people who produce these films already have had close encounters with them, so they know. So yes, we should not use human minds to make sense of spiritual things, Angels come in all forms. The only thing I have found they tend to have in common is height, they are tall - in fact very tall.

Thank you soo much for this post, its an eye opener and I am blessed with it however I wish to add that not all angels come in form of a "TALL" man/person as some are also short and this is based on a personal experience which I wish to share. Just as you have said, they come in All forms. I decided to share this coz as I was working to work this morning, I saw a tall man and I was like " that man could be an Angel ooo" but change my thoughts immediately so it dropped in my mind to share this so we don't start looking for tall angels up and down. Lol

Sometimes between august and october 2014, can't really remember. I was soo frustrated, down and confused because as I testified in my earlier post, I was born in a muslim home and those periods were times I was facing serious persecutions based on my conversion to Christianity, coupled with the fact that I had no job, no money, no focus and it weighed me down seriously that I wanted God to just do something to get me out of all the ordeals.

So I engaged in a 3days fasting and prayer but decided to stay in church to be able to focus more. What I did was to leave the house around 7 in the morning after morning prayer at home to the church, pray at the hours of prayer which is 9am, 12pm and 3pm, then go back home around 4 to finish the prayer at home by 6pm. I engaged in serious and fervent prayer praying with 50 psalms in a day so what I basically do is read a psalm, use the content of the psalm to pray, then when its 9am, I pray concerning what I want, when am done I continue with the reading and praying of each psalms till then next hour of prayer and that I did for 3days, praying 50psalm each day. Because of what I was facing and the promises of God I read in the bible, my request was for God to provide money, infact a lot so that I can prove to my family that indeed Jesus is Lord. "My intentions then was actually for selfish reasons as my mind and heart was still not that right with God.

On the last(3rd) day of prayer, between 12pm and 3pm "can't really remember the time", I decided to go outside the church to just look around and rest my mind a bit. At that same minute I got outside, an old" not very old" short male between 5'4 and 5'8 wearing an dirty oversized shirt with trouser that didn't even get to the ankle, big tie,ugly shoe and he carried a big bag like a laptop bag walked in the church compound. He looks like those who usually go around to collect contributions" ajo in yoruba" mostly for market people. Infact poverty was written all over him.

He walked in and asked a woman he saw for the pastor of the church so the woman told him to wait to call him and she walked to the pastors house beside the church " the pastor leaves right there in church"

While she was gone, there was a long bench at the front of the church so the man walked to the bench and lay down there "not sit oooo, he dropped his bag and lay on the bench as someone that wants to sleep". Because at that time, God was still working in me, my attitude, my character, re-moulding and renewing my mind to be like Christ. Immediately I saw him do that,with the fact that he was poor and dirty, he irritated me sooo much that I felt so much hatred against me, I was so angry and mad that if not for the fact that he was old, I would have shouted on him to stand up or even spank him.

You know what he did afterwards, he stood up from the bench, carried his back and walked out of the church without waiting for the pastor. As I was wondering where he was going, the Holy Spirit spoke, it was a still small voice within but was very loud for me to hear "that was the first time I heard the Holy Spirit spoke" and he said THAT MAN IS AN ANGEL AND HE CAME TO TEST YOU CONCERNING YOUR REQUEST IF YOUR HEART IS RIGHT TO HAVE YOUR REQUEST NOW.

Immediately I heard I wanted to run after the man but when I got outside the church I still saw him walking but was already far, after some few steps I stopped and was soo sad. First I knew that I failed the test already but that didn't really bother, what bothers me was the reason behind my failure and with that I knew in my heart I have serious work to do with my mind. My life changed from that period as from that moment, I started obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit and follow his leading. When I do something wrong and the Holy Spirit corrects me, I adhere straight without thinking. That is how God changed me from who I was in the world to a new creation in Christ that everyone around noticed that change, it seems to be sooo obvious and people were surprised especially my family. Infact the persecutions from my family stopped majority because of that change.

So the reason for all this is just to add that angels do come in different forms and not just in tall form and the bible says in
hebrew 13:2
Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it

The forms of angels as man is not specified in the bible, the bible only says STRANGERS which means angels could come in any form. So we should generally be nice to people around us and try to give alms and help people as much as we can both with the word and financially.

Remember the first and second major commandment. Love your God with all your heart, mind and soul and with everything. And the second which is to Love our neighbours just as we love ourselves.

Brother there is a reason why God said when two comes together, they become one, that means you are joined with whoever you have sex with.

Brother, so many confusion in your method of explaining the Word which the Holy Spirit should be allowed to help discern spiritually and not by human wisdom. Your method seems like one who's gone/going to a theological school and trying to bring what you have been taught on here.

Not saying a theological school isn't good as I seriously wish to go as well to be grounded in the Word but as one is doing that, we also need to involve the Holy Spirit to give a deep revelation concerning the Word of God.

Am sorry to say this sir but there is a trait of arrogance in your teaching and the way you give replies.

Lots of wonderful brethren who have been contributing on here teach and explain the Word with all decency and humility and even when they reply a post, they do that with all caution rephrasing the post been quoted with better explanation and calmness

I'll give an example, its just me"assume am the student" trying to analyse something to you"assume you the teacher" but you as the teacher thinks you know it all and have better understand not bringing yourself down to learn from the student who thinks you were wrong in a way and trying to give an explanation forgetting that one can learn something far great from the student.

Because you think you know more of tongues and interpretation and can discern the wonderful Word of God with all wisdom judge me, accuse me of speaking gillberish"not speaking in tongues" and been under the delusion of something I don't know.

But before I post, lemme share what the Holy Spirit reveal to again about tongues.

When God created adam, it was the spirit language Adam was communication with to God in the garden of eden before the fall.

Even after the fall, God only prophesy concerning the curse on Adam but He didn't take away this language until God confused our language when they wanted to build the tower.

This tongues is our natural(when I say natural, I mean natural to our spirit) language right from time, its only become a big deal/sign to us because of the fall and also because God has given to us back our spirit natural language through the Holy Spirit

"Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. Gen11:1"

The Whole earth had ONE language&Speech, can you see that?

Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”Gen 11:4

they communicated with this same ONE language to build a tower and they almost did.

When we are being baptised in the Holy Ghost and can speak in tongues, individual tongues might sound different but its still One and the same tongues to God.
We all receive the same spirit as a believer and the same spirit gives us One language which makes us one

 "But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Gen 11:5-6"

Did you see what God said? If as ONE, they speak ONE language, please specifically note this:- NOTHING THEY PLAN TO DO WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM.

Ohhhh Myyyyy God, as I was studying the tongues, Holy Spirit took me back to this and was amazed when the revelation of this passage in the scripture was given to me. This is a supernatural utterances bro and not english or any language on earth, this is a supernatural language.

Speaking in tongues is a supernatural utterance, this tongues makes God to break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. It breaks in to any bondage whatsoever, there is nothing you ask for when you pray in tongues that won't be done because the spirit prays concerning the Will of God and with Power.

" Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other. Gen 11:7"

What happened here? God took the language of POWER that can break any barrier and gave them other different languages.

What I explained here bro is what they call revelation of the Word by the Holy Spirit and not human wisdom.

Advice to those who desire to speak in tongues. Hunger for righteousness and desire to speak and you will be given this gift.

For those who do, please I advice we don't stop nor forbid to speak. Pray and sing in tongues as much as you like, the more you pray in tongues, the more answers to all your request and not only just answers but manifestation of this answers as NOTHING YOU DESIRE AND ASK WHEN YOU PRAY IN THE SPIRIT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO HAVE. Also pray that you may interpret for paul says He who prophesy is greater than who speaks so we all should desire to interpret

Just about now while I was speaking to God, I wanted to start complaining about some of my little problems and challenges.
But as soon as I was about to do that, the Holy Spirit brought this song to my heart.


I don't know why He did that. I have not even sang this song in a very long tine. But I can tell from the lyrics of the song that God wanted me to praise & worship Him and forget about my problems.
God wanted me to realize that most of these things I call problems are things He has orchestrated to bring glory in my life.


God wants us to praise Him even in good and bad times. Be encouraged to know that whatever it is you are going through, God will surely deliver you from it. Whether the challenge is spiritual or physical or financial or health wise or in marriage/courtship or seeking for a child or for a new job, God knows your fears. But do not be afraid for your time is near.


After singing this song, I remembered my challenge again and fear struck my heart a little bit. But I quickly remembered this tactic of satan. That is what he does when you're praising God even when you have challenges.
This makes the devil furious because he knows that your joy and praises to God will move God's heart to quickly bring about that blessing in your life.


Who can fathom the wisdom of God?
Who can search the depth of His love?

These are powerful lyrics and that song is very powerful. If you sing it from the depth of your heart with sincerity, it will move the heart of God.

Stand strong in your faith. Do not be shaken by the storm. It is only a test. If only peter had overlooked the angry storm he would have walked on water like Jesus.

Overlook your storm and look up unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of your faith.

Praise be unto God in the highest for He is good and His mercies endures forever.

Bro to speak in tongues is a form of spiritual communication, when you are speaking in tongues, you speak to God and no other. That is why paul asked us not to forbid speaking in tongues because no earthly language whatsoever, be it french , german, chinese, english etc can function as its just a language but speaking in tongues is speaking to God, you speak mysteries when you speak in tongues. The spirit speaks based on the will of God and not from the carnal mind and when God speaks back to you also through that tongues, its for revelation, prophesy.

Paul saying keep silent does not mean you shouldn't speak in tongues in the church, he only means if there is a prophesy from God, he that speak in tongues should also interpret for the edification of the church

and Man is tickled and accessed through this Soul by way of the body and spirit

The different faculties in the Soul waits, to pick up signals coming from the relevant and/or applicable faculties in the Body and the Spirit
This bit is very important, the Soul receives from the Body and deposits into the Spirit
Whatever the Body reads or sees via the eyes, hears via the ears, feels via applicable part of the body, smells via the nose and talks or tastes via the mouth is picked up by the Soul and deposited into the Spirit
The Spirit upon receiving things from the Soul, has to deal or process what the Soul has deposited into its laps

This is why regulation is very important. It is why we ought to control and oversee what the Soul is picking up from or picking up with the senses
If you have to eat the chicken or fish, this is why its necessary to know when and how to spit out the bones
or if it's grain to eat, then know when and how to spit out the straws
alternatively, if it's liquor to drink, and you cant hold it down so you don't throw it up, then know how or when to stay away from the liquor

Now, if the Soul picks up an unknown tongue or language from the Body, it cant interpret, then the deposit into the Spirit will be unfruitful

Now just as in physical when the stomach growls, making noises for food, when nourishing is long overdue,

The Soul determines what the Spirit receives, but if like you said earlier alluded, the Soul is transferring the wrong expectations (e.g. not praying right, not asking right etctera)
then the Spirit does the wordless groans (i.e. the spirit knows what should be prayed for, so it becomes restless with wordless groans, when the expectation(s) is not forthcoming or not in sight)
The Spirit is like saying: Hey Mr Soul, where are the goods am expecting, please dont feed me with trash
and so since the Spirit tells the Soul what it needs, the Soul has to back to the Body for the request
Now, if it is one of those classic cases of the Spirit is willing BUT the Body is weak, then the Body many times will REFUSE the Soul the request of the Spirit
and here we have a typical case of struggle or power tussle going on in the Soul involving the Body and the Spirit
The Spirit knows what it needs the Soul giving it from the Body (i.e. the Spirit tells the Soul what to do, expecting the Soul to relay this information request to the Body)
but the Body, many times, is not ready or prepared to act in accordance with the wish or command of the Spirit by giving or offering it to the Soul for the Spirit

The Spirit cannot give to the Body righteous things it didnt receives from the Soul
OK, here is the clarification to ward off confusion: The Soul passes on all righteous things it receives from the Body,
if fruitful and meaningful when the Spirit receives it, the Spirit will then conceive the ''fruit'' and return it back to the Body via the Soul
The Soul feeds the Spirit and the Soul receives from the Spirit to feed the Body
that is why if your mind (i.e. Soul) doesnt understand something OR anything, it would be unable to interpret to successfully feed the Spirit or the Body

Why does paul ask that we should pray to interpret? The answer is in verse 14

When one is being baptised and speak in tongues, the spirit prays and not the mind or the soul because it does not understand. This interpretation comes from the same stream the tongues is coming from but the flesh is canal and can't reciprocate until one subdue the flesh/mind by feeding the spirit with the Word of God and walking in righteousness.

(Now, if the Soul picks up an unknown tongue or language from the Body, it cant interpret, then the deposit into the Spirit will be unfruitful)

Keep the fire of God in you burning, try as much as possible to grow in the Word of God but most especially HUNGER for righteousness and you will have this gift. Don't beat yourself over if you don't interpret them, desire to grow, take it step by step and all other gifts will be added through the Holy Spirit.

Hunger for righteousness. Now I understand better. Before I got baptised in the Holy Ghost. I use to hear story about how people got baptised and was able to say few words in tongues and got better as they continue but in my own case, I prayed, fasted , hunger for it, twice I stayed up for like 2hours in the midnight, praising and praying to God hoping I will be baptised and can speak in tongues but nothing. The hunger and thirst for it was so much that the day I got baptised was in church and I spoke in tongues like have always been doing that. I got home and spoke in tongues like I want to speak the whole tongues I have been missing at a go with joy and happiness in my heart. Wow, I remember that glorious moment now as am typing and I feel like shedding tears of joy. That feeling can not be compaired with anything the world ever offer. Week after and was led by the Spirit to another Church and there from the pastors teaching I was able to interprete my tongues that I prophesy to some group of people and after which I continue still at the program to speak in tongues and God spoke to me, instructed me through tongues giving me the interpretation of the tongues concerning something. Brethren this God is Great, who is like Him, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders. The problem I believe is with your definitions of the terms : Sanctification and Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

I will discuss sanctification now and maybe Baptism of the Holy Spirit another day.

Firstly, the Word Sanctification means "to set apart" by God for His holy use.

Sanctification is in two- fold:

1. FIRST FOLD- Instantaneous sanctification:

This is the separation of the new believer from the world. This is instantaneous and takes place at the new birth. The moment he/she receives Christ and is born again, he/ she is immediately separated by the Holy Spirit from the world. It was the Holy Spirit that sanctified us, bringing us faith which resulted in our salvation.

2Thes 2:13
" ... because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:"

1Pet1:2
" Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: ..."

1cor 6:11
"And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."



2. SECOND FOLD -Continuous Sanctification:

This is the Ultimate Separation of the believer unto God. This is progressive and should continue in the life of the believer until he leaves this earth. It involves the renewing of the mind and the subjection of one's thoughts and emotions to the Word.

Romans 12:1-2
" I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

1 & 2 Explained:
It is like a man who falls into a ditch. The first thing is to get the man out of the ditch(This is like the First-fold. The believer is brought out of the world by the Holy Spirit through faith).
The next thing is to get the ditch out of him by cleaning him up(This is like the Second-fold). The believer replaces the wrong thoughts words and actions with those of the Word.

NOTE:
The one who hasn't received or isn't conscious of the fact that he has the First, cannot successfully experience the Second. His/her Christian experience will be that of struggle, frustration and condemnation.

So as a believer, praise God for sanctifying you, then you will be able to live the sanctified life.

The bible says when you receive Christ Jesus as you Lord and saviour, you receive the Holy Spirit which is right but from my own knowledge and understanding, baptism of the Holy Ghost and power with the evidence of speaking in tongues does not come until the heart is fully sanctified. I understand that when you are born again, your spirit is but not the soul which means your thoughts and mind is still the same as there is still the old adamic nature in us but after salvation comes sanctification which is when you renew your mind with the word of God then after the heart is fully sanctified, then baptism of the Holy Spirit. Reason for all this is because the Holy Spirit does not dwell in an unsanctified heart so until there is sanctification, there is no baptism of the Holy Ghost. This is how I understand it and this was exactly how it happened in my own case.
Now there is this other church I went to, and what they teaches is that a sinner as soon as he receive Jesus can be baptised immediately and also speak in tongues, which they also practise backing it with scriptures like

acts 2:37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

What you should look out for when asking or making a request is;
1. What does the word of God say about that thing?
2. Is it promised to you as a believer?
3. Why do you want it? (MOTIVE)
4. Is it a general gift promised to all believers?
5. Is it a specific gift? e.g, Tongues are given to all believers, but prophesy is specific. They are believers who have the gift of Faith. They can attempt anything believing it will work. Those are the ones who can boldly lay hands on the dead and believe they can bring it back to life.
They are revelational gifts, sight, auditory, when they speak by faith, it happens.

These are specific gifts.
Why are they specific?
It's because not all have the grace to function under them.
They come with a price.
Sacrifice; you will live a fasted life, self denial. Spiritual Discipline, total obedience to the Holy Spirit. Attacks from the kingdom of darkness.

If you are asking something you know it's promised to you as a believer. Meaning, it's contained in the redemption package, but you are asking and no answer is coming forth, check yourself, is there a secret unconfessed sin? If there is, the adversary may just be capitalising on it and delaying you. But, if you have received assurance in the spirit that your prayers have been answered, then wait. Patience is what is needed.

Another thing, unbelief. Most of us Christians pray unbelieving prayer. When you play and say, "if it happens OK, but if it doesn't, let your will be done" If you find yourself praying such prayers, you will never recieve answers, because you are not sure of anything.

Did God said he will do it? Did he say you should ask? Then ask and believe he will do it.

Mark 11:24 says, Therefore, I say unto you, what thing so ever you desire, when you PRAY, BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE RECIEVED THEM, AND YOU SHALL HAVE THEM.
When you have asked once. Stop asking, start thanking Him for answers.
If you keep asking, you will be working in doubt and unbelief. (If you keep asking, Satan may present himself as an Angel of light and present a counterfeit gift. Gifts are deceitful. I would prefer, you allow yourself naturally manifest your gifts rather than asking for them).


Again, when you pray with a double mind, (whether him go do am?) . You will never recieve it.
James 1:7-8 says, Let not that man think he will recieve anything from the Lord;
For a double minded man is unstable in all his ways, like the waves of the sea.
So, brother, check it out from the word, if He has promised you that thing, and you have met the requirement which is being born again, if you ask but no answer, WAIT. He does everything beautiful in his time.

Today, in our one hour daily prayer, the whole thing hit me as I was praying, and all of a sudden, the fire just went off me. I became embittered in my spirit. I just stopped and stood for a while not saying anything. Then I started praying for Joy. I asked God to take bitterness away from me, and give me Joy. If I allow bitterness and disappointment to settle in me, I'll be the one to lose. I have trusted God this far, I shouldn't let go now. I bounced back.
But after prayer, I decided to have a talk with a sister. The first thing out of her mouth was answer to the tumult that was raging in me. Without knowing it, she settle an issue in my heart. God used her mouth to speak to me.
I didn't ask her anything relating to this, she just started talking. I was shocked. God is real.
She said to me. There are two kinds of Christians.
1.The Called. Short term
2. The Chosen. Long term.
The called, their assignments are short term. She liken them to crops like Maize, groundnut, pepper, and yam. which after planting, can be harvested under a year. After harvest, that's it. You have to plant again, and again.

But the Chosen, are likened to cash crops. You have to plant them and wait. But when their harvest comes, it covers every thing the others had harvested. And their harvests keeps on and on.
This is the season of Mango. If you have a Mango tree, or orange, or coconut, Cocoa, and plums. Know that, every year, your fruits will come. You will eat and have to sell. And this tress do not need plenty rainfall or sunshine to do well. They are there, in and out of season. Producing fruits.
The Called--their answers come as they ask, because their assignments are brief.

The Chosen, their answers are delayed, both by God and withstood by satan. Why does God allow you to tarry? To teach you patience in the field.

Why does Satan withstand you? to hinder and weaken you. To discourage you to abandon your post. To derail you. To cause you to say "there's no God", or probably turn to him and lose out on your eternal inheritance.
The calls gets things easily, but the chosen doesnt, but when their answers eventually come, they are enviable.

Something I have learned recently; I am God's property. Like a vessel he made me, if He decides, I carry water, then water is it. If He decides I carry flower, then flowers is it. All I have to do is be available.

Brother, if it doesn't happen now, it's either, I prayed outside his Will, it's not yet time, or Satan is in the details, meaning I have to press more.

Insightful. Your reply sister just brought out another question. How do one know if the request is outside his Will, not yet time or satan is at hand.

Reason for this question is because in my own case this request is born out of love as one of the fruit of the spirit. I know deep in my spirit that I have to keep making this requesting because truthfully sometime I just wish I can stop making this request but anytime I think so, my spirit always encourage me to keep asking and not to be discouraged or give up. If the request was particularly about I only, I would have stopped but its not.

Now back to the question,How do one know if the request is outside his Will, not yet time or satan is at hand?

Your last point is where most Christians miss it. Am guilty here. We beg too much. How do u beg your father for what you know he has said you can take?
This dispensation is the dispensation of power. Like Peter we ought to call for what has already be given. Look at Jesus, he never prayed beggerly prayer. He gave thanks and called forth. Releasing the power is what Christians need to know how to do now.

Well said sister. But in the case whereby I have prayed and believed God for a particular thing which I know only He and no one else can do holding on with faith knowing fully well its not too hard for him to do. Month after months I keep believing and never gave up or get discouraged about the request but kept asking and believing. What do you suggest onee should do if the request is not forthcoming but need serious urgent attention to scale through a phase?

Note: I said I have held on with faith all along without worrying knowing fully well He is more than capable to do all things

I have decided to share somethings I faced and how the Spirit of the Living God helped me to overcome them while growing up spiritually

1 john 2:16 says Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--comes not from the Father but from the world.

The five senses; taste, touch, smell, hearing, and seeing, all report to the carnal mind – which is the enemy of God. These senses are what Satan uses to tempt us! The lust of the flesh includes tasting, touching, smelling, and hearing. The lust of the eyes is seeing. The pride of life is thinking you are special because of who you are, what you have, what you know, or what you look like.

The enemy uses these three things, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, to entice us to sin. Scripture shows this process at work in both the Garden of Eden and on the Mount of Temptation.

In the Garden of Eden: «The woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat.» Genesis 3:6 The woman, Eve, saw that «the tree was good for food» – the lust of the flesh, «it was pleasant to the eyes» – the lust of the eyes, and «a tree to be desired to make one wise» – the pride of life. Of course you know the rest of the story! Eve was deceived, Adam disobeyed, sin came into the world, and death passed upon all men by sin, for that ALL have sinned…

On the Mount of Temptation: When the tempter came to Jesus, he said, «If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.»
Matthew 4:3 – the lust of the flesh.

«The devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, ‹All these things will I give thee.›» Matthew 4:8-9 – the lust of the eyes.

«Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, ‹If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.›» Matthew 4:5-6 – the pride of life.

Through the power of the Spirit, with the Sword of the Spirit, Christ successfully resisted the temptations of the Devil and now we can too!

For to be carnally minded (minding the things of the flesh) is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind (minding the things of the flesh) is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God…
Romans 8:6-8

I think the greatest battle we all face in our lives is the battle within, the battle between the flesh and the spirit.

I battle with this a long time after I gave my life to Christ and became a new creature because this was me before I gave my life to Christ.

Yes I lust after all manner of flesh
Yes I can't get my eyes off "especially anything on skirt" as I was a chronic womaniser before I got saved and
Yes I had all kind of pride as well

But the Holy Spirit WHO is the Spirit of Truth led me and still leading me into ALL truth and few things that helped me through the Holy Spirit to overcome all these are:-

1. What is your cause?
For me my cause was the fact that I wanted to be holy just as Christ is. After I gave my life to Christ, I started reading the bible and as I read, God point these things out to me, He made me realise my sins and I decided I was going to stay away from it. Determination is the first step which is moved by your cause. Why? Why do you need to stay away from this things? For me my cause was that I needed to stay holy as the Word said. Obeying the Word of God was what I focused on.

2. Let your eyes be single
Luke 11:34 says The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

So many sexual immoralities going on everywhere from the images on the internet where you see nude pics to the ones we see on the street where some so called sexy girls all in the name of been sexy put on almost nude cloths to attract men, most porn sites are now free online to watch or download anytime and many times we look at things we shouldn't see and this does not leave out servants of God as they are also human.

But what did Jesus say concerning this?
Mathew 5:28 says But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

So what did I do? I stayed away from all porn sites so as not to put off the Light of God in me. And I followed what the word says, whenever I see things am not supposed to see " like female boobs, the thigh, unclad lady, lady dressed seductively and all other images" that might start bringing fantasies in my mind, I don't look at it twice. I immediately get my eyes of them and focus on something else.

Particularly about talking with a girl who is dressed seductively exposing some part which might makes me want to start thinking of getting down or creating some kind of fantasies in my mind and even those who are even normally dressed, what I do through the help of the Holy Spirit is to FOCUS ON JUST THE FACE.

Yes even if you do that, our eyes is created to see even beyond that which we focus on but when we focus more of the face, that is where our attention will be. It helps from the lust of the flesh. Jesus says our eyes is a lamp to the body, what you see is what you think.

It is the lust of the eyes that brings lust of the flesh. When we see seductively dressed female/male, our body tends to want it, it lust after it then you start thinking of getting down or some sort

I focus on the face even when a female is not seductively dressed as our mind is very carnal and we need to guide it.

3. Don't give in to the devil
The last and most important thing to do is not to give in. This will be very hard but the bible says in phil 4:13 "we can do all things through Christ who strengthen us".

We need to understand that we can't overcome the devil on our own except with the help of the Holy Spirit so we need to pray concerning this.

When I started this at first, no matter how hard I try, I still look at female seductively and it got so bad that I get attention when I try to fix my eyes on the face and letting my eyes to be single but I never gave up. I knew this was a sin I had to overcome so I kept on doing that until I got used to it.

Now I can control my eyes "with the help of the Holy Spirit". I don't look at things am not supposed to, even when my eyes moves and set itself on things that is worldly, I immediately get my eyes of it.

To mature or improve spiritually, you have to overcome this lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life.
Especially the lust of the eyes and its a continuous overcoming, you have to be at alert all the time so as not to give the devil the chance because he will never stop tempting you as a child of God.

Our fall is his priority and we must not allow that. Jesus said I have overcome and He Who said I have overcome dwells in us which automatically makes us an overcomer, we are more than a conquerer.

Proverb 4:23 says Guild your heart with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life.

We know that from the universal law of gravitation, there exist a force field between any two bodies separated by a distance, between electric charges and also between poles of a magnet. The actual chemical make up of these fields and why it reacts in such a manner still remains a mystery; science just calls them imaginary lines or lines of flux. If physical things are this mysterious, how much more would spiritual things be? We cannot explain spiritual things with physical ideas. We just know that these things work just as the aforesaid scientific phenomena do.

Back to the matter at hand, trying to find out how fasting boost answers to prayers or compel God to act is no different from trying to find out how God uses blood to wash sin. They are just simply beyond our ken. How can a professor teach calculus to a nursery school pupil?

I believe fasting addresses the issue of unbelief so as to enhance your faith. It is safe to say, fasting boosts faith. After Jesus berated his disciples for their unbelief, he concluded by saying, "howbeit, this kind goeth not but by prayer and fasting" Matt 17:21. All things in place, faith is the only currency needed to receive from God. The greater your faith and antipathy with unbelief, the greater your command of victory in the place of prayer. So fasting strips off unbelief and releases faith. Faith is required to access God (without faith it is impossible to please him, for he that cometh must first of all believe that he is...Hebrews 11:6). Once fasting checkmates unbelief, the gap between a person and God diminishes and the result is tremendous.

Scriptures hinted faith (as an entity) to be a continuous spectrum ranging from little faith (Matt 17:20) to great faith (Matt 15:28). Some obstacles may be overcomed with small faith while others may require great faith. If your prayer of faith seems ineffective against an obstacle, boost it with fasting. Sometimes, we may be unaware of residual unbelief in our hearts that could be undermining the efficacy of our prayers. This is where fasting plays a vital role. A man may think his faith is great but it isn't in reality. This could be analogous to what the scripture says, "there's a way that seemeth right to a man but the end of it is destruction." If you've played any car racing video game, there are some milestones that cannot be accomplished except you equip your car with nitro (booster). Fasting could be seen as spiritual nitro but then, this is just using physical things to explain spiritual mechanisms that are beyond our ken. Spiritual things can only be fully explained with spiritual logic.

Am learning something, your explanation is logical to an extent but only can be discern spiritually and you did hit some points. I make sure I fast like twice in a week and I actually choosed wed and fri except if I fasted for long days,that only is when I take breaks. I actually do not fully understand its work but it sure has really helped me grow spriritually.
