zionbaby: AFRICA: Africa Cup of Nations>45 minutes into play> Tunisia 0-0 Algeria.
Are there no strikers available in each of these teams?
We've inherited the worst of European football. Congested midfield with lone striker feeding on scraps.

I Remember the days of gung-ho 4-2-4 with the likes of Odegbami rampaging down the wings.

like we can't live without eating nigeria food oversea...i think it is a waste of money shopping for nigerian food oversea. if you can, ask your family to fedex some to you. better than eating garrium flour-di-oxide as eba.
Odiakwa egu.
Gbam. This is what I'm beginning to suspect. When you wash the garri, the run-off water is sticky and even blocks the sieve over the kitchen drain hole. Backhome, garri run-off was clear and drinkable too.

BREAKING NEWS: SAHARAREPORTERS

President Jonathan Makes Unscheduled Visit to Police College In Lagos

http://saharareporters.com/news-page/breaking-news-president-jonathan-makes-unscheduled-visit-police-college-lagos

On the way to an ECOWAS meeting in the Ivory Coast, President Goodluck Jonathan's plane was diverted to Lagos where he made a surprise visit to the police college in Ikeja. Sources say that even his top aides were taken unaware by the unscheduled stop.

The police authorities were also caught unawares and had in fact rented the college to host a private wedding, which is illegal. President Jonathan demanded that the top brass explain these actions to which they had no sufficient answers. Upon hearing this the President immediately commenced an inspection of the college, starting with the student hostels where he discovered dilapidated conditions including no beds and toilets in the rooms.

At the time of this report, the inspection is on-going. President Jonathan is moving from hostel from hostel on his inspection of the college.

The story will be updated as we learn more information.

Make una see the Oga patapata of the Police

How many dormitories can be refurbished with what this car cost? The fancy chrome wheels alone can pay for several proper beds. Not to mention the cost of the armored car that always accompanies him with a platoon's worth of heavily armed policemen.

That is the serious disconnect between Top and Bottom that makes the Police Force such a cesspool. Just think about it.

After all, Tafa Balogun is today enjoying the money he stole, money meant for the protection of the very men and women he was supposed to lead. If there was any justice, the haunted spirits of those Policemen killed through superior criminal gunfire will be visiting him every night.

thelastPope: Whoever wrote that stuff up there is a massive 1diot! President Goodluck Jonathan is the commander in chief of the armed forces of Nigeria. He is the highest ranking military officer in Nigeria. People just say things out of ignorance.

If you talking about Oronto Douglas, that is a different matter. We can debate that. That is something that has been going on in Nigeria since I can remember. For your information, the military does provide the helicopters for hire. The police and military provide a lot of commercial services to the public. It is ignorant to think that all police and military service to the public is free. And if you think that GEJ sits in his office everyday allocating who will use helicopter, then you are also ignorant. These things are handled by protocol. And he has complete access and right to use any military helicopter available. That is what obtains all over the world.
U don talk am finish so we go shut up and no even vex for this kain one wey Chinaman yab us so. All is well in your village, abi?

Kay 17: Better and plausible explanation
I agree, and I'm not a Christian.

There is rationality in what TroGunn wrote and made me think about it like this for the first time. That the word "day" is simply a placeholder that is ascribed to changing amounts of time is an easier concept to grasp. The creationists perpetuating the rigid idea that the world is literarily 6000 years old are doing their side a gross disservice.

There are still unanswered issues about what existed before the Genesis 1:3-5 "creation" starting gun but that is on a par with scientist struggling to describe what existed before the big bang.

Pastor Kun: I never knew Oyakhilome started scamming people as far back as his secondary school days. I actually thought he derailed along the line but with this new info, one can safely conclude he has fraud engraved into his DNA.
To be fair, and to place it on record here, Oyakhilome was a very very nice senior. Totally immersed in his SU stuff of course, always trying to convert everybody, but really one of the top guys we juniors could relate to.

This was also a one-off so I'm thinking the scam was more the modus operandi of the hungry guest Preacher. In any case, I got wiser and actively kept away from the SU stuff. Good lesson I think.

bankylan: I went through all your posts on Nairaland just to confirm my opinion of you, and I am not surprised. I am sure you have lost hope in life, maybe because of the poverty and frustration you have suffered in life. Calling a Pastor you don't know a thief is the height of mental degradation. If at all your problem is hereditary, you should not be too boastful of it by saying things like this on Nairaland.

Go and write this down, if you will ever fulfill destiny in life, you need to ask God for forgiveness. No one ever blasphemed against the ordained men of God and go free. Are you more intelligent and educated than people in church who are givers? Go to churches on Sundays and see young men and women in thousands serving God. Are u better than them in any way? Do you want to say they don't know what they are doing?...
Behold my people the insidous underside of "Churches" so focused on Prosperity preaching they lose sight of the true Christian calling. A true "Christian" living in the shadow of Jesus will not resort to threats and abuses. The Pastor has been elevated to the "God of Man" whose actions must not be critically examined.

There are churches and there are cults. By your actions and utterances, it is easy for us to deduce which one most of you attend without knowing it.

Let me relate this experience: When I was in secondary school (boarding), this popular Chris Oyakhilome guy was a senior and also top honcho in the Scripture Union (SU?). He was a nice guy and also very charismatic so, to humor him, we would sometimes allow him to corral us juniors into the sunday service (we hide and dodge from other seniors) - even though I am a muslim.

With him standing there, a guest preacher (some hungry looking guy in a shabby suit that must have seen better days) came to testify that he had a dream revealing how he was going to marry some rich Onassis woman in Greece. And, to receive bountiful blessings, we were to donate towards his flight ticket! I was only 11, just fresh from my home environment but I somehow donated from my meagre spending money, along with many others I must say. Maybe it was mass hypnosis or not willing to be left out of the group dynamic. One thing though, I was mostly hungry the rest of the term.

It was obviously a scam. A lowdown dirty stinking sham to extort money from gullible young persons. As I grew up, this experience has informed my ability to rationalize the dirty pillars holding up these prosperity churches and their Pastors. I am grateful for that valuable lesson.
