Webmasters / Re: Anybody Seen The Latest Google Invention? by JobFinder: 11:19pm On Nov 22, 2008
Its only visible to people who are logged in to Google

The changes you make only affect your own searches.

Have you actually tried moving searches up or down? I bet you'll like the ajaxy effect. Its easily reversible too. I foresee that this is going to be a hit, especially the comments section.
And speaking of "latest google inventions", has anyone seen Google Knol (http://knol.google.com)? another good one from Google. Still in beta

Webmasters / Nairaland 504 Gateway Time-out Error by JobFinder: 11:07pm On Nov 22, 2008
Anybody else notice this error when accessing nairaland? Its happened to me twice today: a blank error screen with 504 Gateway Time-out in bold letters. I wonder why this is happening? Is nairaland resource usage getting too heavy for Seun's servers? This forum is really growing sha and thats a very good good thing for the world
Politics / Breaking News: Nuhu Ribadu Arrested by JobFinder: 10:39pm On Nov 22, 2008
The former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was arrested this morning in Kuru as he was getting ready for a convocation ceremony. The police dragged him out of the hall in an attempt to prevent him from graduating at the Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).

As at the time of filling this report, the reason for his arrest has not been given. But it will be recalled that there has been a frosty relationship between him and the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Michael Aondoaaka, the Inspector-General of Police, Mike Okiro and the new chairman of EFCC Mrs. Farida Waziri.

Few weeks back, Ribadu went to court to challenge his demotion by the Police Service Commission and he has tried several times to avoid arrest by the agents of the Inspector-General of Police and Farida Waziri.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: 419 Job Seeker Beware! It Happens To Me Now by JobFinder: 4:27pm On Oct 18, 2008
I agree with dagundurob jare. So poster do you mean that if the job advert is not to work in a bank or big company then it is a fake job abi? I'll like you to elaborate on how exactly this is a case of 419. Was there no product? Did they ask you for money?

In the event that this company has done no illegal activity or asked you to pay for the job then it is not fair for you to trash their name (and reputation) in such a manner. Do you realise that there are a lot of people out there who would not mind a job like that?

It could be that this company is just a new or a small firm looking for salesmen and they decided to post an advert on Nairaland.

In fact even though nobody beg me, I demand an apology from the poster of this topic on behalf of the company in question. angry

So someone or other removed my alias, deleted my account and deleted my posts. I'm new around these parts and I wonder if you could explain why the JobFinder alias was removed so that it wont happen again. I tried to PM y'all but couldn't find the link so I posted my message as a new topic instead, in the hopes that you'll see it and respond. Plus I'll keep bumping it until I hear from you.

I reread the forum rules and I can't seem to find the particular one I was breaking. I've been hanging around this board for a couple of days now and I've seen a lot of crappy and obviously fraudulent posters emerge yet they thrive but the one person who broke the news about MTN and Celtel vacancies and who exposed samnetresourcesonline.net as fraudulent gets deleted.

I don't want to cause no trouble, I just want to learn so please tell me what I did wrong and I wont do it again.

Reply if you see this, don't reply if you don't.

P.S: The attachment is a photo of the jazz I'll use on you if you delete me again (hope u got a sense of humor)

Peace out. Nairaland roxxx!!!
