You lab work looks normal as far as the ovaries and brain. I am still concerned about your thyroid. If we are using the same units, the number for the t4 seems high which is why I think you need a TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) check.

thanks this is a bit of a relief.the Ref. value for t4 is 4.4-11.6. for the TSH i will talk to my gyn tommorrow if it can be tested since i will be doing the HSG then . hope this will be possible am not really down for another appointment.

My husband did sperm count test twice immediately after our wedding and the last one this year i think last month . according to him the first test they said he had infection and was given antibiotics. he said the only thing he could understand from the test is Abnormal sperm 80% while normal sperm 20%. the second test done reads ad normal sperm 60% while normal 40% but he still has infections. Will try and get comprehensive result from the hospital tomorrow but can you say anything with the above result. what drugs can he take because i feel the infection is causing the ad normal sperm to be high i.e it is destroying the sperm.

Good luck with the hsg but I think your thyroid needs to be tested as well. As for the lab values you provided, it is hard to read without knowing which day of your cycle the blood work was done.


thanks alot, i saw my period on the 27th October 2008, the test was done on the 28th Nov. 2008 and i saw my period for that month on the 24th NOV.2008. I dont know if the above can help in interpreting the values of my test. you talked about thyroid . is thyroid a hormone, i taught they have tested for this before in the hormone test. please help me.

Did they do a tsh?

Katty , i don't know what is TSH but i was just told it is a hormone test . i will be doing HSG test next week Friday. can you help check if the values are OK in my last post.

please i have been trying to get pregnant for the past five months. there was a time i complained to my doctor that i had milklike thing coming out of my breast and had an irregular period for that particular month i was given injection and hormonal drug to correct this. after some time i went for medical check up, i did hormonal test and this is the result, Hfsh 2.2, h Prolactin 6.5, hLH 10.9 and T4 9.3. can you please tell me if this figures are ok , if they are not what can i do, mean well my doctor has recommend i check the lining of my tubes to make sure they are not blocked i just became scared becos i heard it is painfull and also recommend that i do another hormonal test since the last one i did was on the 28th Nov,2008 which i have done and am expecting result in two weeks time. thanks for your effort in helping people .
