I know you want to finish up your application before deadline...........pls you neednt panic. I have mentioned it before that you are experiencing those problem because of applications traffic.. Target certain periods of the day like 8:30am morning and 9PM evening applications are faster during these periods because less applicants will be online.

It is common with most scholarship application websites to have applications traffic...........they do update their database as more applications come in. During such time no application goes through. We witnessed it during total scholarship application. Just scan and save all your documents ready so that once it begins again you just finish up. Don't panic yet............deadline is 30th September

If you are sure your login details were correct then it will certainly be network error...... Some times due to the traffic of applications, the site does have error..........check back mostly at morning, 12noon or 9 to 10PM @ night.

If your community does not have the CDC then get a letter. From your community chief

Letter from CDC is a letter from the chaiman of your community development committee but that is if you are applying for AOMA....I.e areas of operation merit award. The documents are : 1 jamb or school admission letter 2 o'level result 3 jamb result 4 local govt identification letter 5 passport

Shortlisting for addax is probably done in Sept. So let's see Sept. Go through and if they done say any thing, we can bid them farewell.

Make enquiry from people of your place to know if they are part of shell operational area .........that's if you don't know. If it is not, then apply under national merit award.

It must not be English and maths .......... Enter your five best subjects in terms of grades. But if English and maths falls within the five better...........good luck

toboy: i have sussefilly applied! The persosn tht was complaining of seeing private policy should click on the small box at the end of private policy then click next to see the main application form.

toboy: make sure all your documents are ready, you'll also be require to compute in your 5 highest grades in waec result. Then personally a liltle bit confused while uploading cuz there was option for letter of state of origin, letter from CDC then again letter signed by chairman/secetary .though i submitted the same letter frm LGA in both option for state of orgin and letter signed by chaiman/secretary.

The scholarship is of 2 category: the national merit award (AMA) and the areas of operation merit ward (AOMA). If you are and indigene of a place where shell is operating then you don't need those letters.

Remember that it closes on 30th Sept. It's always advisable to apply earlier

Aladelokun: Have been trying to apply since yesterday. When i clicked on apply, i saw that i should read the private policy. Then after that nothing more like the main registration page. Pls help!!!

When you see the read policy dialogue box, scroll down and you will see the apply online box, click on it. A technical. Where you will see "I understand the risk" click on it and click on continue in the box that will appear then the application page will appear. Its a very technical process. I suggest you allow the cyber cafe attendant to do it for you if don't understand the processes.

While applying be careful with the information you give.......

If only we had vibrant oncompromising human rights activists. This is when we need them most but we can't see them lending their voices in support of the students

It's obvious that over here in Nigeria, government woun't take action unless there is a riot or protest. This confirms the concept that one of the ways of influencing government is through mob actions
