both ar good but i think economics is preferable because it covers itself '' economics'' while having finance as part of it. But finance cant treat economics as a part of it

let me point out our mistakes in the replies so far made for and against the issue raised by the poster 1 some of us committed falacy of generalisation 2 some of us tried creating an equivalent in terms of money to virtue 3 some personalized the issue making us attacking and defencive in our contributions. 4 we made little or no attempt to profer solutions to the problem 5 some of us were illogical in our arguements 6 some of us made conclussions without premises

if for at least once you have never have had to run to class with clawy hunger jus so as to be able t6 meet up with school fees, U can hardly understand the poster

one simple truth is that everyone has his own share of the cake: parents, children, government and all that make up the general society. I suppose as much as we agree with or criticize the issue raised by the poster, ''over parenting'', we should as well profer possible solutions. One thing i think should be done is: there should be compulsory course on moral instruction in tertiary institutions in that way young peoplf will have conscious moral orientation which will help checkmate their behavior and attitude.

i think some persons agree or disagree with the poster depending on the degree to which he/she is affected by the concepts raised by the poster, If only we could drop '' personal'' , U kno what i mean
