Shocking footage shows a collapsed drug user locked in a trance after smoking a lethal 'Black Mamba cigarette' Man writhes on pavement after allegedly smoking Black Mamba in Birmingham In December four people were left hospitalised after collapsing from taking drug Destructive drug is used commonly by homeless people and in Britain's prisons A man was filmed locked in a trance after allegedly smoking a lethal Black Mamba cigarette. In disturbing footage, the man is barely conscious as his body and mind are dominated by the destructive drug, on the streets of Birmingham. Unable to string a sentence together or even sit up straight, he simply reaches out limply as if asking for help. The person filming the scenes asks: 'Have you taken anything at all? 'Do you want me to ring you an ambulance? Are you sure? You're lying in the middle of the road though, mate.' The stricken man is unable to answer and the film ends with him left lying on the pavement, without any help or medical assistance. While his incapacitated state proves uncomfortable viewing, it is by no means a rare sight across Britain's cities. The use of psychoactive drugs such as Spice or Black Mamba is becoming an epidemic among the homeless and a scurge of the country's prisons. Just months ago in Birmingham, four people were left in hospital after collapsing from taking Black Mamba at a Christmas market in the city centre. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4309936/Drug-user-collapses-trance-smoking-Black-Mamba.html

I Want to buy that CAB for Uber in Lagos |
I had a million quid in the back of my cab! Stunned police find holdall containing £943,000 in passenger compartment of a London taxi Bag containing £943,000 was found on the back seat of taxi in east London Suitcase containing £500,000 in £10 and £20 notes also found in back of a car £73million in cash and assets including a Ferrari 612 and Class A drugs seized Scotland Yard says it is largest amount of money taken off streets since 2003 A sports holdall crammed with almost £1million in cash was seized by police as it was moved across London by black cab, Scotland Yard revealed today. The bag containing £943,000 was found on the back seat of the taxi when it was pulled over by police in east London last year. Another suitcase containing £500,000 in £10 and £20 notes was found in the back of a car in a separate incident. The hauls were only a small part of the £73million in cash and assets including a Ferrari 612 and Class A drugs seized from criminals in London in just 12 months. Scotland Yard says it is the largest amount of money the force has ever taken off the capital's streets in a year since 2003. The taxi holdall was the largest cash bundle seized in 2015/16 and the largest confiscation order made was for £6,328,119 in May 2015 over the supply of chip and pin machines to central London brothels. The main perpetrator created a number of sham companies purporting to offer events and function facilities to corporate clients. These companies were then used to obtain numerous chip and pin machines by fraudulently misrepresenting their business intentions. Machines were then placed in several brothels in order to facilitate the payment for sexual services and Class A drugs from paying customers. The cash seized was forfeited by the crooks under the Proceeds of Crime Act in early 2016. Funds confiscated by the Met are paid to the Home Office, although the force receives a percentage back through the Asset Recovery Incentivisation Scheme. In the financial year 2015/16, the MPS issued orders under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 totalling £73.4million. Outgoing Met commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe said: 'The MPS is here to reduce crime and keep people safe. It's satisfying to see criminals pay back for the damage they cause communities through the assets we've recovered. During Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe's term as commissioner since September 2011, the Met has seized or confiscated £317.14 million through the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and has received £40.16million through ARIS. In 2015/16, the Met Police received £8.89million through ARIS, which is usesd to fund financial investigations, training and specialist units in targeting organised criminal gangs and violence. During the previous year, £73.04million was seized from crooks across London. The Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 gives police the powers to identify and remove assets obtained from a criminal lifestyle. Using the act, police can investigate the financial affairs of a suspect to see if any of their assets were obtained through criminal means and a court can then order the criminals to pay up. Sleeping like, well, babies! Parents capture hilarious photos of their children napping in bizarre places including on the TV, in a shoe and on the TOILET Parents have shared photos of their children napping in bizarre locations Many have managed to balance in precarious positions before dozing off It's well known that tots can nod off almost anywhere whether that's in the theatre or during a long car journey - however these children have outdone themselves with their makeshift beds. Parents have shared some of the most inventive (and bizarre) places that they have caught their little ones nodding off. While some of the sleeping areas look a little uncomfortable others are down right impressive and will leave you wondering how the kids got into that position. In one heartwarming picture a baby sleeps soundly on the top of a television set with no explanation as to how they got up there. In another adorable snap a baby balances precariously but peacefully on top of a pumpkin while taking a rest. Girl, 12, livestreams her own suicide on Facebook after she was 'sexually abused by a relative' - and cops say they are powerless to remove horrendous online video Katelyn Nicole Davis, 12, of Cedartown, Georgia, killed herself on Facebook Live She told viewers she'd been sexually abused before hanging herself in her yard The video is now proliferating online, local cops say - and they can't stop it There are no legal means to stop the video from being shared on websites Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death The horrific suicide video of a 12-year-old girl has gone viral - and police say there is nothing they can do to stop it. Katelyn Nicole Davis, of Cedartown Georgia, streamed herself on Facebook live on December 30, saying that she had been sexually abused by a family member. She continued filming as she hanged herself in the front yard of her Cedartown home. Now the video is being shared online, however, and Polk County authorities say they are powerless to stop it proliferating, Fox 5 reported Wednesday. Police rushed to Davis's home to save the girl on the evening of her suicide, but she was pronounced dead after being taken to Polk Medical Center’s Emergency Room. The video - which ends with the girl hanging from the tree for around 20 minutes as the sun sets, while a woman off-camera can be heard calling her name - was then removed from her Facebook page. In the weeks since her death, however, the Polk County Police Department has been flooded with calls from as far abroad as Britain, alerting them to websites sharing the video. One was from a California police officer who saw the video on the night of Davis's death. 'We want it down as much as anyone for the family and it may be harmful to other kids,' said Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd. e contacted some of the sites. They asked if they had to take it down, and by law they don’t. 'But it’s just the common decent thing to do in my opinion.' +3 'Abused': Katelyn claimed in the video that she had been sexually abused by a relative. Police are now investigating her death Police are investigating her death. According to Coosa Valley News Wednesday, Davis posted on her blog on December 27 that she had been sexually abused by a relative. A January 1 capture of a blog purporting to be Davis's, but written under the pseudonym 'Dolly' - a name she used in other social media - lists abuse from a male relative including being hit with a studded belt. She adds he 'tried to rape me.' It goes on to allege that the man told her to hang herself after she asked him to 'stop being so perverted in front of my younger siblings.' In a second post the same day, the writer says she is suffering from depression and discusses different methods of committing suicide. She ends by asking her readers to advise her on how to deal with depression. Manchester City in hot water with FA after anti-doping charge on failure to ensure 'Club Whereabouts' information was accurate FA allege Manchester City failed to ensure whereabouts information was in date It is understood City have been found in breach on three separate occasions City have been given until January 19 to respond to the charge Manchester City could face a suspension from football after being charged with a breach of the FA’s anti-doping regulations. While a fine is more likely, punishments — should City be found guilty — could include a ban, ground closure, points deduction and expulsion from competitions. The case relates to City allegedly providing inaccurate ‘club whereabouts’ information. The FA demand that they are informed of the location of teams at all times so that they can carry out random testing via UK Anti-Doping. That said, this is a potential breach of an FA regulation but not under the jurisdiction of the anti-doping authorities. Sportsmail understands City have been in contravention three times over a 12-month period — triggering the charge. Breaches are not restricted to the first team and can be committed at academy level. City have until January 19 to respond and they declined to comment last night. It is believed the club will claim that the breaches are down to administrative errors. However, the FA could still take a dim view of City’s behaviour. Such administrative errors, when committed by athletes, are considered every bit as serious as missed tests under the World Anti-Doping Agency’s three strikes policy. Should an athlete fail to provide correct information on their whereabouts three times, they face a two-year ban. The FA can request information on training schedules, match venues and addresses of players, while the fact City have been charged with a breach of regulation 14(d) suggests they provided the information but that it proved to be incorrect. WHAT THE FA REGULATIONS SAY Clubs must provide any whereabouts information the FA requests. This includes where and when training is taking place, players’ home addresses and any other places where they regularly stay overnight. Manchester City have been charged over an alleged breach of Regulation 14(d), which states: ‘It shall be a breach of this Regulation if the information is either initially inaccurate or has not been updated by the Club as necessary to ensure it remains accurate.’ Penalties range from a warning to a fine, suspension or points deduction. The charge comes as City midfielder Samir Nasri continues to be investigated over claims he was given an intravenous drip during a trip to Los Angeles last month. Nasri, on loan at Sevilla, is the subject of a probe by Spain’s anti-doping agency. Intravenous therapy is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency unless administered in quantities of no more than 50 millilitres per six-hour period or in cases where an athlete has obtained a certificate of dispensation on medical grounds. The France midfielder has the backing of Sevilla but they were unaware he was having the treatment. Nasri, who can continue to play during the investigation, would have needed a Therapeutic Use Exemption to be exempt from anti-doping regulations.

The House of Representatives Committee on the IDPs and the North-East initiatives is currently investigating allegations that the Presidential Initiative on the North-East (PINE), under the supervision of the office of the Secretary General of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, spent N270million on clearing grasses in some IDP camps. Also being investigated by the house is the purported allocation of N188.69million for Nigerian refugees living in Minawao, Republic of Cameroon. The Secretary General of the Federation failed to appear at a public hearing on IDPs held by the National Assembly on October 6th, to answer to the allegations. The Chairman of the Committee, Sani Zorro, berated the SGF for failing to honour their invitation. “The SGF was slated to have appeared but hasn’t showed up. He didn’t write to explain why his company has refused to turn up to explain the issues relating to the money wastage”, he said. “The PINE officials said he is at his village but as secretary to the government under whose office the rehabilitation of the North-East was placed, we had expected him to come and throw light on the financial expenses made by his office.” Further adding, “We also expected him to explain the implementation framework being used to spend the money. We have been inundated by reports of diversion of materials and funds meant for the IDPs, and this scandal had led to the embarrassment for the country.” “Given the issues of credibility and integrity raised against the agency in charge of the North-East initiative (PINE) which is under the SGF office, we had expected him to respect the invitation”, he said. – Taiwo Obasanjo says her new party is a God’s order meant tot better the lives of Nigerians – The ex-wife of the former president insisted that President Buhari was not the problem with the country – She attributed the call for Biafra to the poverty in the country Taiwo Obasanjo, the former wife of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has promised that her new political party will bring solution to problems bedevilling Nigerians. Taiwo had earlier announced that God had directed her to form a new party, Abundant Blessing Congress and that the party would take the country to another level. She insisted that President Muhammadu Buhari was not the problem with Nigeria but his party, the All Progressives Congress. She said: “If you ask me, Muhammadu Buhari is a man I have utmost respect and affection for. He is unique, absolutely honest and plain. He’s disciplined and organised. If he’s there, he is. If he is not there, he’s not. For a man like that, people may not appreciate him. I have realised the politics that God gave this man. Buhari is not really the problem of Nigeria. He is not the reason Nigerians are suffering. The problem of Nigeria is the party, All Progressives Congress, APC. God only used APC to bring him up as president. ” Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Taiwo Obasanjo “God has decided that it is Abundant Blessing Congress, ABC, that would provide the solution needed in this country. We are to go round and join forces as a family to fashion out solutions to Nigeria’s many problems. “They are Nigerians who are very interested in the project, who believe that we can do it. But Nigerians should know what we are up to. It is not just to grab power or to remove APC. We are the party to offer solutions to the problems of Nigerians and we are not leaving it for one man to handle. The problem in Nigeria today is not Buhari. The problem is the APC.” Taiwo noted that there was abundant problem in the country but her party would be a sort of cleansing and make the country better. “There is abundant suffering in the land, there is abundant lack, there is abundant hunger, there is abundant joblessness, and abundant homelessness. So, we bring the people abundant blessing and the name of the party is Abundant Blessing Congress with a mission to counter all these abundant problems. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Olusegun Obasanjo “In the midst of all these problems, God wants to bring up abundant blessing. That is the meaning of Abundant Blessing Congress. God has deposited everything here in Nigeria. There is no part of Nigeria that you cannot find mineral resources that can fetch us fortunes. “It is not only in the Niger Delta region that good things are deposited. There is abundant mineral resources in other parts of Nigeria but they are not being exploited enough. So, with Abundant Blessing Congress, God is going to turn things around for Nigeria.” The former wife of Obasanjo said the problem of insurgency and the agitation for Biafra was due to the suffering in the country and promised that all these will be addressed by ABC. “There is a virus eating up Nigeria and virus has to be applied into this virus to work out a solution. The solution for everything is not with one man. It is for everybody to come together to decide with one purpose. We have to come together and discuss these issues, this virus in the system. Even the president of Nigeria does not have the answer. The answer is with God and with our collective force as a people. When the people come together to decide what they want, then, the solution will come. “All these Niger Delta Avengers, Biafra agitators, Boko Haram insurgents are all suffering and they feel that somehow, they have been marginalised. So, when we come together and talk among ourselves, then, the solution will come. If water is gushing out from an unlikely source, the governor cannot see it, the president cannot see it. Even the local government chairman cannot see it. But the local people will see it and point it out. So, its all about the people. And that is why what I’m doing is people oriented. It’s the peoples party. It’s not the kind of party where the governor or people who are in elective positions will dare alienate themselves from the people.” Read more: https://www.naij.com/1053312-2019-will-solve-nigerians-problems-taiwo-obasanjo-promotes-new-party.html

A very gigantic snake that was suspected to have eaten a calf, has been killed by some locals. The locals were amazed to find out that the snake had not eaten their livestock, but was rather heavily pregnant. Its swollen stomach contained dozens of eggs. According to Daily Mail UK, the incident happened in Nigeria where local media said the snake had been killed over accusations it had been feasting on farmers’ livestock. However, images show, the snake was not overweight because of its last meal, it was actually pregnant. There have been some reports of African rock pythons, which is the continent’s biggest snake and one of the world’s largest, growing up to a massive 6m in length. The African rock python feeds on a variety of large rodents, monkeys, warthog, antelopes, fruit bats, monitor lizards and even crocodiles in forest areas, and on rats, poultry, dogs and goats in suburban areas. Occasionally, it may eat the cubs of big cats such as leopards, lions, and cheetahs and puppies of big dogs such as hyenas and cape-hunting dogs

Former minister of state for defence Musili Obanikoro is another trouble with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after fresh investigations by the agency traced N400m loot to him. Sahara Reporters quotes The Punch as reporting that Obanikoro might return to EFCC detention after it was discovered that he allegedly received N400m from a former minister of finance Senator Nenadi Usman, who was the Director of Finance of the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation during the build-up to the 2015 elections. “As part of investigations into the billions disbursed by Nenadi Usman during the build-up to the 2015 elections, we interrogated a suspect at our office. The suspect told us that he handed over N400m to Obanikoro in the presence of some PDP members. “So, Obanikoro will be invited to the Lagos office of the EFCC to tell his own side of the story,” an EFCC detective was quoted as saying. The money Usman disbursed allegedly emanated from a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke. But The Punch quoted a source close to Obanikoro denied the allegations, saying that the ex-minister was not in charge of former President’s Goodluck Jonathan’s Lagos campaign and therefore could not have received such money. He said: “I am aware that the EFCC has interrogated the person who collected money for the Jonathan campaign organization. However, Senator Obanikoro never collected N400m from him. “Those who collected money at Federal Palace Hotel know themselves, and they should please leave Senator Obanikoro out of it.” Recall that Obanikoro was released on Friday, November 4 after spending about three weeks in EFCC detention over money he received from the arms deal scandal of former national security adviser Sambo Dasuki. He has refunded N100m and promised to return an additional N480m. His American and Nigerian passport were also seized by the anti-corruption agency. The Yoruba people of Nigeria are an ethnic group of Southwestern and North Central Nigeria as well as Southern and Central Benin, together known as Yoruba land. The Yoruba constitute over 40 million people in total. The majority of this population is from Nigeria and make up 21% of its population, according to the CIA world fact book this makes them one of the largest ethnic groups in Africa. The majority of Yoruba people are known for a lot of things, one of those things is their penchant for colorful insults. Here are some insults all Yoruba mothers use freely 1. Oponu The word means an ignoramus or a very stupid person. So when you do something stupid, or appear confused, a Yoruba mother will surely hit you with: Oponu! The insult will have you looking confused like…. 2. Agba iya Pronounced Agbaya, it means an older person, who despite his age, is still useless. Yoruba mothers usually use it when you do something especially childish. Ironically, being called ‘agbaya’ will make you want to cry like a child. 3. Ode Ode is a classic. Used by almost everyone with a grasp of Yoruba and it basically means stupid. It is so commonplace, many do not even feel insulted when it is used on them. Imagine someone calling you Ode and expecting you to feel insulted, but you have been called Ode all your life. 4. ObunThis is used to call into question, a person’s personal hygiene, so it can mean anything from dirty to filthy. Usually used when your room looks like a pigsty that has not been cleaned in years. If your room looks like this half the time, then you are an ‘Obun’. 5. Oloshi As commonplace as Ode, it is used almost by everyone and it means someone who does rubbish a lot. many translate it as unfortunate, but it means someone who is interested in unnecessary things. Oloshi is perfect as a suffix when you want to insult people. 6. Olodo Olodo is an insult used to describe someone as having low intelligence. An Olodo is dull, slow and most likely has problems with school work or other academic activities. You will likely hear a mother use it when her child comes home with poor school results. 7. Didirin Didirin is a close relative of Olodo and Ode, it is a cross between the two and can be used to describe someone who has low mental faculties. When someone calls you ‘Didirin’ you will most likely feel like the man in the picture above. 8. Apoda Apoda is like the superlative of Oponu. It means someone who is confused and has little or no direction. It is one of the most painful insults. Read more: https://www.naij.com/1031944-8-insults-yoruba-mothers-use-will-reset-brain.html

– Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has once again called for the decentralization of power and resources at the central government – Atiku said with the continued concentration of power at the central will slow down achievement and the country might not develop and advance into a modern society Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has once again called for the decentralization of power and resources at the central government. Mr Atiku said with the continued concentration of power at the central will slow down achievement and the country might not develop and advance into a modern society. Atiku said this when he was the chairman of the African Veterinary Association (AVA) and the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) Congress held in Enugu. “if we diversify the economy but still let the state dominate economic activities as a major investor and competitor against the private sector, we will be unable to unleash our peoples’ productive and entrepreneurial energies.” Atiku who described the theme of the congress: “The vets and economic diversification in Africa” as apt, said one cannot expect a state that confiscates economic resources such as rent to genuinely and enthusiastically promote diverse economic activities. “Can we realistically expect such a state to embark on the political difficult task of levying and collecting taxes from its citizens and allowing itself to be held accountable?” he queried. He challenged the congress to “consider these issues and the role of democratic government in the quest for the diversification of Africa’s economies. “Does it help or hurt for people to have a say in how they are governed including economic governance, policy development and the accountability of leaders?” He urged the two professional bodies, AVA and NVMA, to play a critical role in improving African agriculture, especially veterinary health and the quantity and quality of the country’s animal protein intake as well as the prospects of earning vital foreign exchange from exporting meat and dairy products to the rest of the world. “What should Africa’s position be on genetically modified organisms (GMOs), to what extent should Africa embrace GMOs as a way to improve our agriculture and nutrition? What are the risks, if any? You can help with evidence-based advice to Africa’s governments rather than one governed by fad, fear or paranoia.” Meanwhile, anti graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is may seize some houses belonging to Federal High Court Judge, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, if she fails to explain where she got the money to buy the houses. The former minister who served under late Umar Yar’Adua, a former president who died in office, was reportedly grilled following the current probe into the alleged $200 million fines paid by Halliburton and four other firms. The EFCC is believed to have detained him afterwards as the grilling is expected to continue. The EFCC is currently searching for the whereabouts of the alleged bribe that has torn the country apart and had been linked to many high -profile Nigerians. With Aondoakaa’s invitation, The Nation reports that the number of Senior Advocates of Nigeria being probed by the EFCC over the issue has increased to five. Top lawyers who have been interrogated over the issue, according to the report, include former president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), JB Daudu, Mr. EC Ukala, Chief Godwin Obla, DD Dodo. READ ALSO: I hope Aisha Buhari won’t suffer – Governor Fayose The other person who is not a lawyer but has also being interrogated is Roland Ewubare, a top shot of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). Aondoakaa reportedly revealed that the Halliburton scandal was brought to the notice of the late Umaru Yar’Adua during a trip to the United States for the UN General Assembly in September 2007. “The ex-AGF admitted that he signed an agreement with the law firm of Madison Avenue Legal Resources (LLD) on September 24, 2007 relating to the Halliburton matter. “Also, Andoakaa told investigators that Ewubare was chosen to be involved in the Halliburton agreement team because his curriculum vitae and exposure fitted the kind of solicitor we needed. “He said he mandated Madison to prosecute among other related legal and professional handling of the case or to compromise and settle the claims or causes of action in any manner it deems fit. “But he made it clear that during his tenure, he did “not receive directive to compromise or settle the matter on any terms,” the report quoted an EFCC source as saying. According to the report, the breakdown of the alleged bribe includes: Julius Berger ($35 million); Siemens (Euros 30 million); Snamprogetti ($30 million); Halliburton Energy Services ($32,500,000); Japan Gasoline Corporation ($26, 500,000). The report said while the EFCC had successfully discovered a private account where $32.5 million (N13, 585,000,000) $200 million fines from Halliburton Energy Services was lodged, it is yet to find out the whereabouts of the N13.5 billion. It was also learnt that Ewubare claimed that $20 million out of the $32.5 million had been remitted to the federal government but the anti-graft agency is yet to locate the account. “We have gone far in our investigation of the Halliburton scam. This is why we have invited Aondoaaka, who played a part in it. “The ex-AGF has made useful statement in the last six hours. We may likely detain him to enable him give us a comprehensive brief. “The interrogation team has asked the ex-AGF to explain how Ewubare, one of the lawyers involved in the Settlement Agreement with Halliburton, got a letter of authority to open an Escrow Account in personal name for the payment of the fines,” the report quoted a source as saying.
