Not criticising but, i think we (or lemme just speak for myself alone ) need something more explicit and adventurous. You could also give little details like what the camp looked like, reactions of the Corp memebers to some drillings, notorious sexcapades (if it isn't too early yet) , other events that occur during the day and even nightlife.

It wouldn't hurt to do a review of the ladies, dress sense, attitude, shortcomings and people you have met. You are no Shakespeare, but your followers are looking up to you to be their eyes and ears.

Moreover, an saying goes, ' a single picture is worth a thousand words'

I don't understand why a young intelligent man, with a Masters degree in view choose to go by such vulgar moniker.

Anyway, nothing adds up these days. great write-up

Bro. i can totally connect with your story. I'm 5"8 with no exceptional look. Just average. But with an immense ability of connecting with people on the deepest level.

I could say just a phase that would make you chase me around for the complete story. Also, I don't spend much, but I spend right. Little amount at the perfect time.

Good choice of place for your first meeting too. That's something a mummy's boy doesn't have the liberty of doing. Cooking for her is an awesome move too.

Big ups to a player !

Ohh ! did I forget to mention that you round up your degree in 3 years 8 months and walk to camp with the original of your certificate. Just like private University dudes.
EducationRe: Where Are The UNILORIN Students? I Need Help... by joefredd006(m): 10:10pm On Mar 24, 2016
Unilorin gives admission based on merit. Considering her catchment area first.

Come to Unilorin, you will see that Korede Bello's Jerry curls na learner. I personally rocked an Afro till finish line. Cruise your blings as you deem fit

Who wears knickers to school

A Federal institution is not a place for interplay of religous dominance. As such, all religious activities are reduced to the Churches. Unilorin has two churches (a catholic and an interdenominational ) and a general mosque. And I tell you, its even christians that flout the rules with their fellowships in classes and fields.

Talking about social life, you have to keep your head where it belongs. The social life isn't like Unilag or Uniport, but it still boasts of many fine distractions. Off campus is where the real fun lives. and its CHEAP!

Is there no end to people's twisted imagination of a University that serves corporal punishment ? I mean, every department is crafted in real life situation. So expect to see a doctor teaching medical students, and a barrister teaching law students. Same way an actor will shout on his performing arts student to keep them in line.
Nobody punishes anybody. Because your real punishment awaits you in your spreadsheet.
You dont have to sacrifice a stable academic calendar for the fun and buzz other school offers.

Where is the fun, when you are constantly ejected out of the school premises because of ASUU strike

Where is the fun when a simple non-professional course of 4 years drags into 7 years.

tell me, where is the fun ?

i think alot of states need this legislation too. I am a christian, but having to endure loud speakers strategically placed towards my windows is sickening. Moreover, the messages don't even cut the real shii the human race is in. We need God, not religion.

TV/MoviesRe: The Thing Wrong With Nigerian Movie Industry And The People Watching by joefredd006(m): 4:34pm On Mar 14, 2016
I think the Op is an hacker. You just hacked and publicised my thoughts. Our movie industry is riding on a horse that runs backward. The viewers are sucked up into a world of redundant viewing pleasure.

Starting with the titles, you still hear 'the crown prince must die'. 'who killed my son'. 'akpan goes to school '. 'the sex prostitute'. Yes ! these are actual Nollywood movie titles.

The actors : Yes, we do have actors. Who are fit for secondary school dramas only. They neither upgrade, nor evolve. They remain as the actors they watched while growing up. They shout and cry, and end the movie with the bad guy running mad or swallowing poison. Ooh, that's the script writer's fault.

Now the script writers. A bunch of hungry follows who churn out shallow stories in a quick succession, so as to get 100k alert. Our movies revolve round the present times, the ugly past and those redundant comedies. The plot is weak and the conversation shallow, or can you tell me ONE quote from a nigerian movie that moved you. I wonder if these script writers ever imagine writing a movie set in the future. Or are the directors too myopic ?

The directors that lack direction. Steven Spielberg, David Cameron and the likes has once been cornered with shallow stories and impossible set. It is left for their inner creativity to turn a desert into a garden, and a hunchback into a model. It's high time we shun mediocrity and ask for innovations.

The industry complains of funds. Funny enough, i wonder how many country's movie industry gets funds from the government. But ours get millions. The recent trends in the coperate world sees the endorsement of our actors and actresses in a multi-million naira deals. And you can't help but notice the flamboyant lifestyle being flaunted on social media.

However, i think if they decide to take monetary gains out of their priority, and face professionalism; they may rise to rub shoulder with their black peers in Hollywood. Movie producers should also seek a qualitative story that will bring out the creativity in Nigeria.

To think that we now turn to the Philippines and Koreans for entertainment is really distasteful. I think the movie industry needs change !

Car TalkRe: Suv's And Jeep by joefredd006(m): 9:25pm On Mar 13, 2016
in all my days on Nairaland, i have never seen people reply with so much reason and accuracy like this.

Where have you folks been all this while.
Anyway, in Nigeria, the first product always gets maximum advantage of exposure. I bet many people still call all sausages and beef roll 'gala'. So when you see Cherokee Jeep for many years and you grow hearing your senior ones saying 'Jeep'. it unconsciously sinks in.

I recently broke out of the jinx with the help of some Hollywood movies
